Dr Erskine reached out and helped Steve out of the cabin.

Ignoring Steve's question, the man swung his fist and hit him.

Raising his hand, he blocked the man's attack. The heavy force coming from his arm caused Steve's face to change.

The power displayed by his opponent was even greater than he had imagined.

This was obviously a bit unusual, as Steve, at the moment, was a superhuman who had been transformed by the Super Soldier Serum.

Steve wasn't given much time to think and was overwhelmed by the man's powerful attack. Thanks to the full effect of the serum, and his new physical quality, Steve simply took several punches from the man. Then, he seized the opportunity to throw his fist and hit the man on the head.

As Steve watched, the man coughed and spat out large swathes of blood from his mouth, as well as something that suspiciously looked like internal tissue. The previous shots from Agent Carter were clearly not without any effect. "The first of many. Cut off one head, two more shall take its place."

As he spoke, the man reached out and tore off the skin on his face.

"Hail Hydra!"

In the next instant, the man's face began to smoulder in the sunlight and turn into charcoal as Steve watched.

Releasing his hands, the man's body fell to the ground with a thud. Steve looked at the scene before him with a bewildered expression.
