The Hunt!

" Laura, where's Cessily?

Asura asked after moving the remaining citizens out of the rubble.

" They took her. They were after her all along."

Laura said

" Come on then let's go get our girl back."

Asura said holding his hand out. After a few seconds his great blade landed in his hands.

" Can you track her?"

asura asked.

" Yes, but it won't be easy."

" Neither will their deaths."

Asura said.

" Hold on tight."

Asura said as he wrapped his arms around Laura's waist.

" Head to the statue of liberty, there might be a guy there who knows where they are."

Laura said

" On it."

Asura said as he changed his trajectory and raced off towards the statue.

A group of thugs were busy playing cards in their hideout when a knock came at the door.

" Go see who it is."

The fat gangster said.

" If anyone looks at my cards, I'm gonna shoot you. Can I shoot'em vin?"

Johnny asked

" Sure Johnny!"

Vin said as another man laughed

" Who is it?"

Johnny asked as he looked through the peep hole hoping to see who was on the other side of the door.

On the other side of the door was Laura and when Johnny put his face to the door, she jabbed her claws into his skull killing him instantly.

" Johnny! Kill the bastard!"

The boss said as everyone in the room began firing on Laura.

" It's some girl."

" Shoot her!"

The thugs said trying to kill Laura, as their boss ran away.

" We gotta get out of here! Go!"

The boss yelled to his driver.

" Get me that facility egghead! They sent their cleaner into my warehouse! I want her dead. I want all of them Dead!"

The boss yelled

" Boss we got problem!"

The driver said as asura stood in front of the car. The driver tries to run through him, but when the car hits asura it crashes.

" Uhhh...Get out...Got to get out."

The boss said trying to shoot at Asura, but Laura stabbed his hand with her claws and picked up the gun herself.

" Where are they?"

Laura asked the boss

" Ahhh!"

They boss yelled in terror.

" Where is the facility operating out of the east coast? You have three seconds. One"

Laura said beginning her count down.

" I don't know!"

The boss said.

" Two."

Laura counted

" I'd answer the woman she's got a real nasty temper."

Asura said trying to goad the man to answer.

" I Swear I don't"

The boss said.

" Three."

Laura said, but before she could pull the trigger the boss spoke up.

" Cadillac Jones! On the eastside! He knows! Please don't kill me. I don't know anything!"

The boss said.

" How many times has someone else said that right before you killed them? Laura my love, what do you think of the man's words?"

Asura asked

" I believe him."

Laura said before pulling the trigger

At the facility.

" Where am I? What's going on? Will you talk to me?! What do you want?!"

Cessily yelled.

" A little soy sauce would be nice."

Kimura said eating her Chinese food.

" What do you want with me?"

Cessily asked.

" Oh, just your flesh. Well not me of course. I'm just here for the show."

Kimura said.

" let's begin, shall we?"

A scientist asked

" I have friends, they'll come for me. AHHHHHHHH!"

Cessily yelled in pain as electricity flowed into her pod.

" Your friends will come for you, huh? Funny...That's what the elephant said."

Kimura taunted as an image of a dead mutant came up.

" Ahhhhh!"

A man yelled as he was thrown out of a building.

" Careful Laura there are witnesses below. By the way when this is over you're keeping that outfit."

Asura said gesturing to her white-collar shirt that was tied up, showing off her mid-riff and skirt.

" You like it? Be a good boy and maybe I'll give you treat later."

Laura said

" Yes ma'am!"

Asura said saluting the woman.

" Any way's it looks like this was a bust. You know anyone else who might know?"

Asura asked

" There is one person who would know, but just promise not to kill him too quickly."

Laura asked

" Why compared to these guys how bad could he be."

Asura said

" I'LL TEAR YOUR GOD DAMN ARMS OFF AND BEAT YOU WITH THEM IF YOU TOUCH MY GIRL AGAIN!"

Asura yelled.

" Asura calm down. You promised."

Laura said trying to hold the man back.

" Hmph fine! But when this over he's, my kill."

Asura said whispering the last part to Laura.

" The kingpin's favorite assassin and her boy toy coming to me and begging for help. My, how the tables have turned."

Owl said

" Owl do you have the information we're looking for or not?

Laura asked.

" You dare talk to me like that?! The respect you showed fisk, you will show it to me little girl!"

The owl demanded.

" You are only in control of the kingpin's territories because he left the country. You will remain in power until he returns, or someone kills you. So no, I will not show you the same respect."

Laura said to the man

" You're dead girl! You and your pretty boyfriend are dead! Kill them."

the owl demanded his thugs to kill the two.

" Now?"

Asura asked.

" Now."

Laura said.

In an instant Asura grabbed the owl by his head jumped into the sky.

" AHHHHHHHH!"

The owl yelled as Asura carried him higher and higher.

" The first rule of negotiation: Know who you're dealing with. The kingpin told me that." Tell me where the facility is, or we'll see if this owl can fly."

Laura said as asura dropped the man.

After catching the man from falling the Owl told the two everything the needed to know.

" Are you sure I can't kill him?"

Asura asked.

" I'm sorry, but if something like this happens again, we'll need him.

Laura said.

" Fine!"

Asura said as he took off with the woman in his arms.

" Contact Risman and tell him that the creature should be ready for delivery within the week. And tell him that we went ahead and m--"

Harkins was saying before an explosion rocked the building.

" What?!"

harkins asked

"ALERT! ALERT! PERMITER BREAC! ALL SECURITY PERSONNEL REPORT TO BUILDING ONE."

The security system yelled as guards rushed down the halls.

" Someone report dammit! Where's Kimura?! Kimura, report! What's happening down there!"

Harkins yelled

' I knew you guys would come for me'

Cessily thought while she cried in her chamber.

" Relax Harkins. It's nothing we can't handle."

Kimura said as she and her guards stared down Asura and Laura.

" Kill them!"

One of the guards yelled as they rushed the pair.

" If you've hurt Cessily, I'm going to kill you all."

Asura yelled as he and Laura cut down the guards.

" Oh, sweetie I was going to do that anyway."

Laura said.

Suddenly a loud noise filled the room and Laura dropped to her knees.

" Laura!'

Asura called out

" Hm, doesn't work on you does it."

Kimura said

" You're done!"

Asura yelled.

Kimura went to shoot the man, but before she could asura slammed his fist into her jaw sending her flying from the building.

" What are you doing? You should have killed her."

Laura gasped out.

" I did, didn't I? I mean If by some miracle she survived my punch there's no way she's surviving the fall."

Asura said.

" Her body is Indestructible. At worst she'll be bed ridden for a few weeks."

Laura said

" Oh Shit."

Asura said.

" I'm losing my edge I really am. Forget her, let's go get our girl back."

Asura said as he punched down the doors leading to the lab.

" Dear god. Cessily is that you?"

Asura asked as he destroyed the tube holding her.

" Cessily! Talk to me. Come on, cess! Come back to me!"

Asura said trying to hold Cessily.

" Asura something is wrong. Cessily's scent it's everywhere"

Laura said as she looked around the room.

" You can do this Cessily! Pull yourself together do you hear me?! CESSILY!"

Asura yelled

" Asu...Asura? Please make them stop. Make them stop hurting me"

Cessily pleaded.

" I will Cess. They won't hurt you anymore."

Asura said as he held onto the woman

" This is wrong. Asura, we have to leave NOW!"

Laura yelled

" RRRRROAR!"

A creature made of metal yelled as it bit down on asura.

" What the hell is thing?!"

Asura asked as he tore the beast in half with his bare hands.

" Asura!"

Laura yelled as she clawed away at another of the beats.

" More than two."

Cessily said as her body began to form.

" Look at them Anderson. Their hunger for the X-gene is insatiable. It's as if they're aware they'd die without it."

Harkins spoke as he watched the battle

" And while X-23's arrival was unplanned, she'll be the perfect test run for these creatures. It'll be good to have her back in our possession. Provided she survives of course.

" These damn things are annoying. Laura take Cessily and run. Hurry!"

Asura yelled.

" But."

Laura tried to argue.

" NO BUTS LAURA GO NOW!"

Asura yelled and with a broken heart Laura grabbed Cessily and ran.

Asura drew his bade and began cutting through the creatures like butter.

" They aren't regenerating why?"

Harkins asked as he watched asura cleave the beasts in two.

" It's that blade! It must be magic. There's no other explanation as to why they aren't healing."

Harkins said as he watched his work get cut to pieces.

" Sir, it's time to go. If we don't the X men will be breathing down our necks."

Anderson said.

" I KNOW! I KNOW!"

Harkins yelled as he got up from his chair and left. Leaving behind his work.

" I'll commend you all for being persistent, but this little game is over."

Asura said as he cut the beasts into pieces.

" I'll see if Cessily can do anything with this."

Asura said as he gathered the mercury into a container.

" Now, let's get the hell out of here."

Asura said as he ran back down the hallway that Laura and Cessily left through. As asura ran he heard the sound of gunshots and fighting.

" Gun shots! Damn it gotta kick it into overdrive."

Asura said as he raced down the hallway.

Laura had been fighting the remaining troops, but even as good as she was, she was beginning to be overwhelemed.

" Die bitch!"

One of the guards yelled pointing his gun at Cessily's head.

" Cessily!"

Laura yelled

" What's going on? i can't move my arm."

The guard said before his arm fell off.

"AHHH!"

The guard yelled in pain before suddenly being silenced as his head was cut off seconds later.

" Huh?!"

Cessily asked with tears on her face.

" Asura!"

She yelled happily.

" Laura! Cessily! Hit the ground."

Asura yelled and as the two-woman hit the floor, he extended his blade, cutting every guard in the room completely in half. Blood gushed everywhere as Asura's blade ripped through his enemies.

" Cessily keep your eyes closed."

Asura said as he picked the woman up. Not wanting her to see the carnage around her.

" Hold on tight Cess, we're leaving."

Asura said as the woman cried into his, clinging onto the man for dear life.

As the group made their way outside the rest of the X-men showed up along with a sentinel.

" Glad you could make it guys we needed a way back."

Asura said

" Is she alright?"

Emma asked.

" No Emma, No she's not. I failed her Emma."

Asura said as he boarded the X-jet.

" We're going home, okay? We're going home. I promise you the pain is over."

Asura said holding the crying woman close to him.
