Chapter 4 - BLANK ATTRIBUTES

After killing the monster, I rested for a period of time because I had to calm myself down. This was the first time I did something like this, my heart was racing. After I calmed down, I had enough time to look at the battlefield.

''This place is huge'' , I couldn't even see the end of the abyss that I'm at too much less the whole battlefield all I see are corpse and blood and there's some kind of mysterious energy which made my injuries heal faster and is nourishing my body giving me energy . According to the cultivation novels I read I think they call this energy MANNA but I don't have a breathing technique or a cultivation sutra to start practicing.

I picked my spear and left the top of the abyss and I looked at the monsters body again, I had to eat something but this was a battlefield there are no foods here only corpse blood and monsters. I knew I had to eat the monsters to survive , I walked towards the monster and I saw an attribute, I was confused because it was blank all the other attributes I picked before had either a color or an object inside I touched it

I think I get it now, if I kill a monster they drop these blank attributes and them I can use them to get my skills leveled up. I picked the corpse up now I knew I had a problem I've never tried to skin and cook an animal before so I don't know how to do it and there's no pure source of water around here.

I used my spear to try and remove the hairs on the body and try to drain the blood so it won't clot and I had another problem I've never tried to start a fire once In my first life, now I need a fire to roast the meat I remember watching a wildlife channel they used rocks to start a fire. I picked some dried rock around me and dried leaves I hit the rocks on each other I saw a spark I was joyful, I tried again but this time was unsuccessful I tried and tried again but I looked like today was my unlucky day.

I was annoyed I held the rock and threw it as far as I could, that relieved me subtly when I heard a deafening roar coming from the direction i threw the rock at.

I seemingly hit something when I threw the rock, i couldn't see but I know it was something living. I didn't care about the food, hunger or anything I picked up my spear and ran as fast as I could. I could feel the ground shaking as I ran ''what kind of horrifying monster have I provoked'' that was all that was at my mind at this moment.

As I continued running I could see the outline of the monster coming at me with a shocking height of over two story buildings, I knew it wouldn't be long till I'll be caught . My mind was racing thinking of what I could do to run faster when opened my panel and saw the blank attributes.

My blank attributes were empty but I at least started running a little faster, but this made no difference a the monster was still gaining up on me I searched for attributes around while trying to learn the footwork and execute it.

As I got the enlightenment attribute I felt everything about the footwork making sense, I started executing it at first I made a few mistakes which made me slow down which increased the pressure on me later on I started performing it better I felt like I was jumping from bed to other beds without falling and my speed was increasing.

I was excited and started running even faster, the monster saw this and gave another deafening roar. I was shaken, I spat out blood my organs were shaken just because of that roar. I momentarily stopped running all I could hear where high pitched sounds I looked back and saw that huge body, am I going to die?

I put all my blank attributes on agility, no longer thinking about anything I ran I did not even look at where I was going I knew if I stop I'll die my heart was racing the monster was less than 50 meter away from me I didn't even know when I ran into the area of the abyss till I reached the top.

I heard someone chanting a sutra, immediately my heart calmed down and I heard a voice at the depth of the abyss COME, COME I turned around and the monster was less than 15 meters from me it's either I jump into the abyss or I die by the monster I head the voice again COME, COME I wasted no time and I jumped into the abyss I thought I'll fall and land hard and break some bones or either die but to my surprise something was controlling me it the manna around m me to soften my fall and I landed.

I was astounded at the magnificent of the temple I saw in the abyss, floors made of gold, pillars of gold and some other things I don't know if I went inside and saw a monk sitting in the middle of the temple chanting scriptures '' I thought everyone died in the battle that day'' as if answering my question the monk spoke I'm already dead this is just a wisp of my soul I left in the temple during the war because I knew I was going to die and I wanted to pass my inheritance to any lucky person who could get it.

Author '' I changed some part of the story to make this chapter make more sense, if you've been following me since chapter 1 you can pls re read it I made some changes in chapter 1 and 2 but mostly chapter 2 I realized my ambitions in that chapter were low something something it'll not be good if I go more than an average novel number of chapters so I changed something you can read it again thanks I'll be grateful if you leave review in the comments and give me tips cause like this is the first novel I'm writing''
