Soulmate Found

"Welcome to Gaga Bar and Lounge. A pleasant evening to you, sir. What drink would you like to have?" The lady asked Max with a gracious smile, but his mind momentarily faltered in coming up with a response.

His heart beat in perfect harmony with the rapid pulsations coursing through his veins. An immense wave of heat seemed to flow alongside the deoxygenated blood, eliciting a sweet and exhilarating shiver down his spine. His entire being was electrified, his soul rejoicing in the presence of its other half.

This profound and pure sensation was entirely new to Max, despite his thirty-five years of existence. Why did it feel so exquisite?

He had not anticipated such a reaction upon encountering the woman whom the universe deemed to be his soulmate. The tumultuous emotions within his chest were overwhelmingly intense and utterly irresistible.

Why must it feel so euphoric?

Her voice jolted him from his trance. He gazed at her and grinned. He excelled at exuding charm and gentlemanly behavior, making this task seem effortless.

Or so he hoped, because his heart continued to race for her, a sensation he despised.

He prided himself on being unswayed by emotions, he saw them as a universal vulnerability, a weakness to mankind. Emotions, in his opinion, were simply stupid. And he was determined not to let them overpower him in this pivotal moment—a moment that would determine whether he would survive or succumb to a curse cast by an ancient witch.

"Scotch on the rocks. Three rocks please." Max ordered and the bartender acknowledged his request.

She began preparing his drink in a sturdy glass cup. Max observed her closely, noticing her beauty and unique features. Her short, wavy brown-colored hair complemented her hazel eyes. As she focused on serving him, her furrowed eyebrows revealed her attention to detail. Max appreciated her meticulous nature, finding it impressive.

When she glided his beverage with a wooden coaster beneath the glass cup to his front, she gazed into his eyes and expressed, "Savor your drink, sir," with a grin that revealed her ivory teeth.

He couldn't resist the impulse to reciprocate the smile as he murmured, "Thanks."

The bartender continued to attend to fresh customers, maintaining precision in her movements and demeanor. Her complexion, an olive hue, contrasted against the lighter and darker tones in the bar. Her average height was elevated by a few inches courtesy of the heeled black sandals adorning her feet.

"Hey Lola, it's been a while. You're back on the roll?" One of the customers inquired.

"Yes, Francis. I'm back. The usual?" She queried in return. The man nodded, his eyes fixed on her as she departed to prepare and serve his order.

'Oh, Lola is her name.' Max's lips curved upwards into a smile as he savored the taste of his scotch.

"Here." Lola handed the gentleman named Francis his beverage.

They engaged in conversation, and throughout, Lola's face lit up with smiles and rosy cheeks. A sensation he didn't want to name yet surged through him as he observed the dynamic between his soulmate and a man clearly interested in her.

It was too premature for jealousy. He had no right to feel jealous. Lola meant nothing to him. She was merely a key to breaking the curse that sought to claim his life.

Still, he found himself uttering words before he could even realize, "Lola!" he exclaimed with a charming smile playing on his lips, "May I request another glass? This one isn't as refreshingly cold as I want." he informed her.

"Of course." Lola gracefully left the male customer and approached him, "Could you please specify your preferred way of serving the drink? At Gaga Bar, we strive to delight our patrons." Lola inquired. This time, he caught a whiff of her fruity body fragrance that tantalized his senses.

'How intriguing,' he mused to himself.

"Why don't you surprise me with something sweet, Lola?" he suggested in a flirtatious manner, using the same tone that often leaves many women feeling weak at the knees.

Lola confidently reciprocated with a playful remark, "I can surely do."

He flashed a smile, "And you have a beautiful name," he complimented.

"I get that a lot. Thank you," Lola replied as she gracefully moved away to mix one of her signature drinks, known for garnering many compliments.

Observing her once more, he noticed her back turned towards him as she reached for the drinks. Her baggy jeans failed to conceal her alluring figure. Lola possessed the kind of body shape that a man would yearn to embrace during the darkest hours of the night, nestled under a blanket or entwined together in cozy attire.

Max's mind was transported back to his haunting nightmares, igniting a deep longing to embrace her. She possessed the power to banish his fears, confront the ominous shadow in his dreams, and restore normalcy to his life. He craved her presence.

With a determined mind, he resolved to take action.

He was no longer content with silently admiring her, no more analyzing her every detail. It was time for bold moves and heartfelt words. The moment had come to court her, enticing her with the universal allure of wealth – which was money.

She may not be aware that he ranked among the top ten wealthiest men globally. He wasn't just going to inform her; he was going to demonstrate it.

What started as a night of drowning his sorrows had transformed into him charming his soulmate.

After ten futile days of searching, he hadn't anticipated finding her here. It was a random bar he had selected to unwind for the night. Whatever had prompted him to leave the house and end up here earned his special appreciation.

A renewed sense of hope filled his thoughts. He wasn't going to perish, and that was the most incredible thing happening in his life right now. His soulmate was finally within arm's reach. He was determined to have her at any cost, and solely for himself.

Lola presented him with a vibrant aqua-colored drink, piquing his curiosity about its taste.

"I call it The Taste of Life, you will enjoy it", She expressed her confidence with a smile.

Max gave a nod and upon taking his first sip, the drink initially tantalized his taste buds with sweetness, only to transition into a tangy sensation as it spread across his tongue. This unexpected twist elicited a subtle scrunching of his face, adding an element of excitement to the experience.

As the liquid descended down his throat, a pleasant burning sensation enveloped him, causing an audible "aah" to leave his mouth as he savored this new sensation.

It was a drink boasting three distinct layers of flavor.

Max's face lit up with a smile, "That was a unique experience. I enjoyed it."

"Thank you," Lola responded graciously. "Is there anything else you want?"

'Yes. You,' Max thought to himself. "I would like to be escorted to a VIP lounge. Could you show me the way?" he asked, his charming smile never fading. He was convinced that she was already captivated by his appearance. And when he eventually revealed his true identity to her, he was certain she would fall even deeper.

He could sense the other women in the bar gazing at him, hoping to catch his attention. However, tonight was not going to be his usual one-night stand. Tonight held a purpose. A purpose that was on the verge of being fulfilled, as his intention was to lead her to a private setting where he could propose the most significant deal of her life to her.

"Sure. Follow me, sir." She replied then gestured to one of her colleagues nearby to take over serving the customers.

Max rose from the bar stool he was perched on with a slight smirk that lifted the corner of his lips. Each step he took to follow Lola to the VIP lounge exuded pride and confidence. He could hear the murmurs of those who recognized him, elevating his ego and sending it soaring high.

He observed Lola's hips swaying, her hair bouncing, and her eyes scanning the long hallway filled with private lounges to find the right one. 'She would be an absolute delight in bed', his lustful thoughts echoed. And he didn't dismiss the idea of having Lola's body pressed closely against his.

After all, he was a man. A man with desires. Desires that only women could fulfill. And he relished the company of women who were captivating with their mere appearance and physique.

"This one is perfect for you " Lola stopped in front of a private lounge door. She pushed open the door and invited Max to take a look at the interior and aesthetics.

Max entered with a slow nod, "It's okay." He said to her, but his focus wasn't on how nice the private lounge was. He's more concerned about the privacy of the room so he queried "It's soundproof, right?"

"Yes. All our private lounges are soundproof." Lola swiftly responded.

"Good."

"Do you want anything brought to you, sir?" She asked.

"This is fine for now." He raised up the glass filled with an alcoholic mix, making Lola smile.

"Alright, sir. I will take my leave now. If you need anything, just give us a call at the front desk." She pointed at the telephone and he nodded.

As Lola was about to exit the private lounge, Max halted her in her tracks with a sentence that had bee

n bustling in his voice box since he realized that she was his soulmate.

"Lola, Marry me." He proposed.
