I LIKE YOU, TOO

"You're calling me quite early today!" Jayden cheerfully said as he answered Arianna's phonecall. "Is there something important you need to tell me?" he asked.

Inside the moving car, Arianna shifted her leg and leaned to the side as she took a quick glance at Yago beside her before focusing to the phonecall. He was all ears. She must make this phonecall more spicy then!

"Well, there's something I need to discuss with you. You know how all the preparation for the wedding are all set now, right? Well, since things are settled, I've decide to agree to my father's request this time. I'm spending the rest of the christmas holidays with him in the suburbs." she relayed in one go. "You're not against it right? After all, this will be the last time he can pamper me while I'm still single. Things will be different after I married." she pretended to persuade him while making her voice sound more coy.

Jayden became silent for a long time. Aren't Arianna too busy lately? They rarely see each other now! He didn't agree with her ignoring him like this, but he can't start a fight with her too. Not when their wedding was only a few days later. What if she suddenly change her mind? The amount he already spent for this wedding was enormous! He can only pretend to be magnanimous for now.

"Sure. Though I'll terribly miss you, I'll allow it this one time." Jayden replied.

Arianna smiled sweetly. "Thanks babe! I'll be missing you, too. I knew you'll understand. You always care about me the most."

As Arianna was talking coquettishly on the side, she glanced at Yago from time to time. The guy has been silent the rest of their journey to the country club. His sulking was making her bored, and so she decided to call Jayden to show off a little. She mentioned some more sweet words on the phone before ending the call. She then focused her eyes on the road with cold expression as if nothing happened.

"What's there to be happy about?" finally, Yago broke his silence. "What's so good about marrying a cheater?"

Arianna sneered. Finally, he's willing to talk. She thought he'll ignore him the whole day. "What about it? Jayden is willing to marry me. Even if he cheats, the worst thing to happen is... he'll be keeping a mistress in secret. That's way better than being entangled to an engaged man and be a kept mistress myself right?" she refuted. "Wherever Yago is right now, I know that he wouldn't want me to be a mistress. So I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. And I'm not the kind of person to regret." She only has one regret before, but that's not important anymore. Since Yago is still alive, then it's invalid now. From now on, she wouldn't do any more things she'll only regret in the future.

Like always, Yago lost this argument too. Though Arianna just expressed her feelings to him in an ambiguous manner, he still can't fight for her using Vier's identity. Vier is an engaged man. Totally unsuitable to Arianna...

"If I promise to marry you, will you cancel your wedding?" Yago asked as he try to push his luck.

Arianna raised her brows. Yago has been showing too many cards. This isn't like him at all. "Are you saying you like me?" she pretended to be surprised. "And why would I want to marry you?" she added with a teasing smile.

"Didn't I make myself obvious enough?... Yes, I like you. And I know that you like me, too." After revealing his heart, Yago then put an arm around Arianna's waist to drew her closer. "Are you going to deny it?", he asked as he leaned closer to her. So close their faces were almost touching.

Arianna's heart skipped a beat. She blushed a little as he draw too near that his lips could almost touch hers. She almost lost her mind and fall for his seduction, but in the end, she decided to close her eyes and take a deep breath to calm her heart. It's not about time yet...

"Yes, I like you, too." she answered. She then pushed him away before turning her back to him. "But I'm not as heartless as you think. I will never-ever hurt Ellaine by marrying her fiance."

Yago sighed. There's nothing more he can refute against that. It's a fact that Arianna is a good friend to have. There's no way he can persuade Arianna using Vier's identity. Should he reveal himself then?

Looking at Arianna's lonely back, she seemed to be upset, yet deep inside, Arianna was actually enjoying this arguments. This is her payback to Yago. Who told him to keep his identity a secret from her? Now, he's gonna make him have a taste of his own medicine! She'll make him realize that by lying to her, Yago has dug his own grave.

In the front seats of the car, the chauffeur and the nurse sat silently as if they weren't hearing anything. These two big shots behind them has been ignoring each other for an hour without even sparing the other a glance, and then a moment later, they become too intimate that they were confessing their feelings for each other. The driver felt like he has sinned after hearing their conversation. He couldn't complain though, as he was afraid Heleina would think he's to immature to despise a couple of dogfood...Sigh... His goddess Heleina. Suddenly, he's envious of the couple behind them.

A few moments later, Arianna's car entered the Green Valley country club's gate and like last time, Carl was already there, waiting for them. She didn't enter with them though. She insisted to be left behind as she needs to return Viper's call last night. She needs to get all the details. The preparation for their counter attacks should begin as soon as possible.

Arianna watched as Yago leave the parking garage with his father. She really missed him so much. She wanted to kiss him badly just now. How long can she restrain herself?

"Jayden..." Belle murmured as she slowly opened her eyes. She felt the space beside her and realized Jayden wasn't there anymore. He's already up? She had been too tired the previous night as Jayden's appetite in bed increased by a lot lately. It's a wonder how he can get up this early after a night of vigorous activity!

Belle got up and wore a robe before going out of the room. She found Jayden drinking a cup of coffee in the dining room as he read the morning news.

"Good morning babe! You're up so early." Belle greeted with a smile.

Like always, Jayden only nodded to Belle and didn't even look at her. He's always been so cold to her.He only becomes passionate when they were in bed!

Belle hugged him from behind before kissing his cheek.

"Arianna called me earlier. She said she's spending the holidays with her family. You're her sister. Didn't your father invite you? How come you're here?" Jayden asked.

Belle was stunned. Arianna will spend a few days with their dad? But they weren't that close before. She really agreed to accompany the old man? Well, it's not as if she cared. It's a good thing too. Now she can have Jayden all to herself. She'll stick to him like a gum and wouldn't let him go.

"Of course my dad called me. But it's christmas. Of course I want to spend it with my most beloved person." Belle answered and then hugged him again. "... which is you. I want to be with you."

Jayden furrowed his brows. Was she insinuating that he's not Arianna's most beloved person? Well, forget it. What matters most is that, Arianna is going to be his after a few days...

"What's your first instruction, Miss?" Viper asked after he finished his report on the phone.

"Find a person for me. Offer her a large sum of money. She's going to be one of the most important supporting roles in our big show. Show her the script I'll be sending to you in a while." Arianna ordered.

"Understood." Viper answered. Such a huge production! Viper has never heard of a wedding as extravagant as theirs, yet it could lead to their death if not executed properly!

"Miss, don't you think it'll be dangerous for Mr. dela Vega if the enemies caught wind that he'll appear at the wedding?" Viper commented.

Arianna chuckled at his concern. "I'm taking him back with me, but I didn't say he'll attend my wedding. If I can take care of Jayden, why can't I take care of "Vier"? You just need to follow my orders. No need to bother about unrelated things."

If it's Yago, of course she's worried that he'll make himself an open target during her wedding! Who knows what's running inside his mind right now! That man is too smart to be neglected! If she promise him that there'll be no wedding, she wondered if he'll believe her.... Hmmm, probably not. She should just put him to house arrest then!
