ENEMIES MEETING ON A NARROW ROAD?

Wearing a burgundy coat and a white dress underneath, Arianna strolled her way through the busy crowd inside the airport terminal. The moment she entered the people's line of vision, everyone stopped to appreciate the tall and gorgeous lady walking like a queen of cat walk exuding both elegance and grace. By now, everybody in the city already knows her. It has been two weeks since she last saw Jayden at Discord bar, but although there hasn't been sightings of them together in public recently, the rumours about them didn't die down. They were still the talk of the town, with news of them busy taking care of their up coming wedding. Who were spreading those anyway? After the big show she witnessed that morning in Discord's VIP room, she flew abroad next morning to visit her recuperating mother. She didn't answer any of Jayden's call ever since. But news about them gets bigger by the minute. She wouldn't be surprised if she one day hears people speculating that they're already married somewhere.

Jayden.

The truth was that his actions didn't really injure her heart. Instead, he wounded her pride. Perhaps it wouldn't be a big deal if everything wasn't related to Belle. She wasn't planning on marrying him anyway! But with him colluding with Belle, he had unknowingly challenged her into a battle, and today, she's officially returning to their battlefield. She's coming back with the confidence to beat down all of her enemies.

Ahead of Arianna, Candice, her favorite assistant was walking confidently with her boss's purple luggage in tow. Seriously, although Candice was only a little assistant in name, she has more power in her hand than that of their company's vice president. That's because Candice, also her mother's niece was also the acting president in five out eight companies that are now under Arianna's name. She's her most trusted cousin and most diligent one. Not that surprising though as her mother's family consist only of great people...well, except for her of course. Perhaps she's the only evil one in the whole clan. They have Carl to thank for this devilish genes and there's nothing that could be done about that now.

"What are you talking about? Your clearly the one who bumped into me first!" Arianna heard Candice suddenly yell. When she turn to look, She found Candice arguing with a man wearing a gray suit. She narrowed her eyes as she recognize the thin looking man.

"What's happening?" She asked as she walk closer to people arguing in front of her. She was about to say something else when she suddenly saw something that startled her; or someone actually. Behind Mike, a tall man was standing, looking straight into her. The moment she saw that familiar face, it was like her world suddenly stopped. She clutched her chest when she felt a strong surge of melancholy suffocating her, and squeezing her heart. Mike was Yago's assistant before, and now, behind him she can see Yago standing, alive and well. Was her mind playing with her?

She stepped closer in a daze, trying to get a closer look at that face when something suddenly came to her mind. Her steps halted and she lowered her head, trying to get the view out of her mind.

She almost forgot.... that Yago wasn't with them anymore. That person isn't Yago. He could never be Yago. She sneered as she looked at that man again. Her look of surprise before was now replaced by coldness and antipathy.

"Mr. dela Vega. We meet again." She greeted, trying to suppress her urge to cry whenever she sees that face. She tried to maintain her cold demeanor as she smiled arrogantly in front of him. "Truly, enemies are bound to meet on the narrow road." she commented.

Yago was stunned by that remark. Enemies meeting on a narrow road? Since when did they had enmity? She smiled sweetly at Arianna taking a step closer until she's within his hands' reach. "I think that's 'When two people are destined to be together, they always find their way back.... to each other's arms...'" Yago teased her with a sly smile.

Although Arianna was a bit surprised for a while, she immediately regained her composure as she glared at the man. "Mr. Vier dela Vega, you just got engaged the other day but you're already flirting outside. I'm sorry but... I don't really go for this type of games."

"Oh! Miss Reid is very well informed. You even know about my engagement party?"

"Of Course. Your fiance is a dear friend of mind, so if you want to hook up with someone, find someone else. I'm not interested in you at all." she said before turning to Candice. "Let's go. Just ignore them." she then turned her back, leaving.

"How about Yago?" Arianna paused when she heard that name being mentioned. She didn't turn around though. She just stood there waiting for the rest of his sentence. "Do you miss him?"

Arianna sneered at herself. "Don't mention his name. You don't deserve to be his brother. You only know how to ruin his life!"

Arianna continued walking without looking back. The more she stayed to look at his face, the more she doesn't want to let go of Yago. She knew it wasn't him, but in her heart, all she could feel was longing and affection. That can never be allowed. No one can ever replace Yago. Not Jayden, or even Vier. None of them is better than her Yago.

"Yago watched as Arianna walk away. She had dreamed of this day when he and Arianna can meet each other again. He had imagine dozen's of possible ways he could meet her. He recited what he should say to her when they meet again a hundred times in his mind, but none of them was like this. He didn't expect her reaction at all. And his brother's engagement was really troublesome too. His fiancee made Arianna a friend.

Ugh...really troublesome. The only good thing though was that, Arianna seem to care for him still. That moment when she clutched her chest, she revealed the ring she was wearing, which was the one he gave her before he disappeared. If the rumor about her engagement with Jayden was real, why would she wear someone else's ring.

"That's to remind you that I will always love you forever. Keep it if you take me as a brother. Wear it if you choose to take me as your man."

Yago still remembered those words that he told her. Did she finally accepted him in her heart?
