DON'T YOU CHERISH YOUR LIFE ANYMORE?

Arianna stood among the guests inside the chapel in her wedding dress trying to explain the situation. The wedding should have started half an hour ago but the groom was still no where to be found. It was really embarrassing! Well.... for Jayden of course. Most of the people invited was Jaden's friends, acquaintances, and business partners. Arianna only invited a few unimportant people to come. She introduced them to him as friends, but she only invited them to add more fuel to the fire. They love gossips, and today, they'll get one!

After asking the guests to wait atleast five minutes more, Arianna stepped aside to call someone. The phone was immediately answered and a man's voice can be heard greeting her from the other end of the line.

"Have you cleared the area?" she asked in a discreet manner.

" Yes, Miss. We've caught four spies in the wedding venue."he answered.

Arianna furrowed her brows. "Just four? Are you sure?", She doubted it. "There weren't assassins among them?", That's odd! It's the best time to strike since she announced 'Vier's presence widely. She even mentioned his name on the invitation cards as one of her family members. What's going on? Didn't they take the bait?

"Sister, I need to tell you something."

While she was pondering about a few things, 'Vier' appeared behind her. Arianna as well as all the guest present turned to him to hear what he's about to say.

"Say it." she urged.

"Jayden isn't coming. He refused to come. There's not gonna be a wedding." he declared.

Arianna raised her brows. "Jayden said what? What do you mean he refused to come?". She thought he'll scramble down the aisle and beg her for the wedding to go on! After all, he spent so much money for all of this! But 'Vier' is saying he didn't want to come? He didn't want to get married anymore? Well, it's not like she wanted to get married either but... "How did that happen?", she was incredulous!

"I don't know but.... he seemed to have chosen your sister. I found them in bed together....and wouldn't let her go. I think..." he paused. He didn't know what's appropriate to say at this moment anymore. After all, all of this aren't on the script! This is not what he signed for! He could only look at the woman in front of her helplessly.

Arianna narrowed her eyes. Is this the work of the love pill? Was it so effective that Jayden remained smitten by Belle to this extent? She thought at most it would only work as an aphrodisiac. She didn't expect it to have an effect psychologically. Can it alter a person's ideals, too? So brilliant!

As Arianna remained silent for a long time, the people started gossiping. Some of them who doesn't like small talks opened up their phone out of boredom, only to be greeted by the latest news. "Jayden Bates caught in bed with paramour.", "Jayden Bates cancelled his wedding for a mistress." "Arianna Reid, dumped on her wedding day." "President Bates ghosted his own wedding", "From wedding of the year to Disastrous Wedding of the decade." Their news dominated the internet in just a few minutes. It was humiliating!

Arianna sighed. Now, she looked so pitiful in the eyes of these people. In her own script, she decided she doesn't want to be a villain for once, so if Jayden begs for forgiveness, she thought of giving that to him. Although the wedding will still be canceled, She can atleast give her blessings to him. By doing this, the impact this incident would do to Jayden's reputation can be lessen. After all, he was her friend. He was there when no one was around for her. But well, blame it to Belle for being too possessive. Jayden is now ruined.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" Arianna faced the guests with an awkward smile. "I'm sorry that the wedding ceremony can't proceed. The groom just fled." she jested. "But please do stay for the wedding banquet! There are so many food. We shouldn't waste it. What if my groom runaway? I can still find a better one in the future! I'm such a pretty lady! So you all don't have to pity me. Let's head to the banquet hall now, shall we?" Arianna finished her speech with a smile. Although the guests' sympathetic look was a bit annoying, all of this was more or less expected. This event was simply a tool to hide 'Vier's relation to her. It's a cover to hide Yago from the enemies while he was still recuperating. While the enemies were spying on the preparation of the wedding to confirm her connection to Yago, her people were monitoring them as well. Today, she anticipated that since 'Vier' will appear publicly again after a long time, the enemies will try to get rid of him during the wedding. But oddly, there wasn't any movement from the other end. Arianna felt unsettled though. It feels like the calm before the storm.

By noon, the wedding banquet was over. There wasn't any unusual incident, too. She thought it was strange but she shrugged it off as she felt tired after the whole ordeal.

"That wedding dress was so pretty on you. What a waste." Vier said as he entered the car with Arianna. The chauffeur started to drive after they got in.

"Do you want it? I'll give it to you for your bride to wear if you want it!" she jested.

" Nah.... I don't even have a girlfriend. What would I want that dress for..." the man answered with a smile.

"You're single, huh? But you have someone you like, right?" she probed. He wasn't getting any younger. If he likes someone, maybe she could help!

"Yes! You!" the man answered seriously. "I like you."

Arianna was taken aback. Was he kidding? He looked serious though. "Hey, don't you cherish your life anymore?"

He began laughing all of a sudden. He laughed so hard he almost teared up. He put a finger against his lips then. "Don't tell anyone. It's a secret, alright? You don't want to see my brain scattered on the floor, right?"

Arianna chuckled. Ah... she hates seing Yago's face coupled with this guy's wacky personality. Maybe she should just ask him to shut up?

"Say sister... Where are we heading right now?" he asked as he look around.

"We're heading back to South mansion. I have to get something before I meet my assistant. What's the matter?" she asked. She was currently scrolling on her phone and chatting with Candace. She didn't realize that something was wrong.

"Well... this is not the way home." he suddenly broke the news.

Arianna froze. She raised her head to check the direction they were heading. Indeed, it was not the way to South mansion. She glanced at the person driving at the front. It wasn't her chauffeur.

"Who are you?!" she exclaimed. She then turned to look behind them to see if her men was following them. She was startled to see a black car behind them though. Whose car was that?

Through the rare view mirror, the driver looked at them and smiled maliciously. He didn't reply to her though. He just stepped in the break. Arianna and 'Vier' tried to get out of the car, but two armed men blocked and entered from each doors, sandwiching them on the back seat. They were men from the black car behind them. It looks like this is a planned kidnapping. The driver then started the car again. His chilling smile remains.

"Who are you people?" she asked. She was only answered by the man though by pointing a gun against her head. "Viper, do something." she mouthed looking at the man sitting beside her.
