Dalia woke up to her head pounding vigorously. She held her head in place, a rush of shivers crossing through her; for a moment, she felt nauseated in her stomach.
She blinked her eyes open to be greeted by the glaring sun pouring into her eyes. It took a while to adjust to the sunlight before she finally opened them fully.
She was greeted by a maiden attending to her that was not Adum; she couldn't really make out the maiden's face because she was still trying to adjust her eyes properly, but she was certain it wasn't Adum. This person was taller, slimmer, with no hint of grey hair as Adum possessed.
Dalia stirred, trying to get up, but the person held her shoulder, trying to steady her. "Rest while you can," she said.
