Married to the Idol

After a fatal car accident, Persephone (Sefi) finds herself reborn into the body of another girl who is betrothed to the young heir of the Tang Group. Her newfound fiancé Nathan is handsome and arrogant, a rising star in the world of F1 racing in his own right. He loathes the idea of arranged marriages and cannot stand the sight of her. His twin sister Eve, a professional pianist, also hates her guts and sees her as a rival in the pursuit of the school Captain, Jin. Sefi suddenly finds herself living the life of a modern-day Cinderella. What’s a girl supposed to do when she has nothing apart from her youth and good looks? Idol life here we come! “I have no friends, no family, no money, what else am I meant to do?” She asked. “You can be my wife.” “Err...” Thanks but no thanks. I think I’ll stick with being an Idol.

The fight

Sat still on the bed with her gaze lowered, Sefi was looking at nothing in particular. Her long black hair spread around her slender shoulders and a few strands fell forward on her chest.

The bib she had been wearing fell to one side exposing her pale bare arm, whilst the rest of her body was covered in the silk bedding making her look as if she was dressed in an off-shoulder white robe attending a Toga party.

The sunlight drifted through the curtains given her an ethereal glow, making her like a goddess, radiating with natural beauty.

Nathan felt his icy mood melting away. "Give me your bib." He said lightly, holding out his hand.

He had slight OCD when it came down to personal hygiene in that he was obsessed with overall cleanliness. It just happened to be a miracle that he managed to stew in filthy for this amount of time.

But Sefi remained motionless as if she hadn't heard him.

Inside, she was bubbling with anger. How come when other people get reincarnated, they become either princesses or superstars but when it's her turn to get reincarnated, what does she get? A fiancé and a future-sister-in law that hates her guts!

No wonder the poor original owner was away! No one could handle this amount of abuse! Sefi could feel a splitting headache coming on.

Nathan had no idea of the internal dialogues that was running through the girl's head. He could only see the colours of her face changing from shades of white to red to grey. It was like watching one of those Sichuan Opera faces.

He did however was not used to being ignored. He glanced down at his body and could see thick sticky porridge covering his shirt, on his black trousers. Judging by the fact that he had been sitting down at the time, no doubt there was probably porridge in the crotch of his trousers.

Momentarily closing his eyes, he took a few deep breaths, then without asking, he reached out to grab her bib. Suddenly she opened her eyes like those street performers who were dressed as statues to scare people and she lifted her arm to protect her bib.

Not only was Nathan caught off guard, but he also found his arm trapped between her arm and chest. Judging by the softness pressing against his hands, his face instantly turned red with embarrassment as he quickly tried to pull his hand away.

"Wo!" Sefi grunted, refusing to let go. She may not have much strength in her wrist thanks to him but she still had arms! That's right! That bib was hers and hers only, no one was allowed to snatch it away from her!

"Let go!" Nathan growled, just as he managed to wriggle his arm free from her hold, she suddenly threw herself onto the bed faster than a WWE pro wrestler, trapping his hand under her upper body.

She may not have been heavy but with all of her body weight concentrated onto his left arm was a force not to be reckoned with.

No matter how hard he tried to pull, she continued to lay over it like a frog pressing on the ground. He was starting to feel his fingers going numb as the weight was cutting off his blood circulations.

It looked like brute force alone wouldn't be enough on this occasion. Without hesitation, Nathan reached out with his other hand and started tickling her. His hands danced along her sides, under her arms and in the groove between her neck and shoulder.

Giggling sounds escaped her and her body twitched involuntarily as she had just experienced an electric shock whilst trying to move away from his assaulting hands. Just when Sefi was almost ready to burst out tears of laughter, Nathan seized the opportunity, with one quick pull, he managed to yank his arm free, leaving her to roll onto her back like an upside-down turtle.

She quickly flipped herself over and sat up agilely. Her face was beaming red and her hair was in a complete mess. But she still managed to hold onto the bib. You'd think it was a treasure map judging by the way she was protecting it.

Not looking in a better state than Sefi, Nathan glowered at her with his dark eyes, "what is wrong with you? Have you gone crazy?"

With tears hovering in her eyes, she stubbornly glared back at him, ready to claw his eyes out if he tried to come closer.

"Master, here's a handkerchief for you." Tracy quickly darted over to them and held out a neatly folded white lining cloth with both hands.

Nathan grabbed the cloth angrily; he quickly wiped his clothes then tossed it aside as if it was a piece of trash.

"Give her the medicine." He instructed in a restrained voice. Then without a second glance, he stormed out the room.

Sefi watched him leave and only then did she let a huge sigh of relief. Thank goodness he was gone.

The fight took out the last ounce of strength in her and she was left feeling exhausted. It was only the first day of her rebirth and already she had been in three fights.

And over what? A piece of stupid cloth! She felt like screaming!

Was it really necessary to get into a fight over? Absolutely not! Maybe he was right, she must've gone crazing. And if she didn't, she certainly looked it with that stupid bib dangling in front of her, her clothes and hair dishevelled. She looked like she had just escaped from a mental institute.

"Miss, are you ok?" Tracy asked gently, "would you like another handkerchief? I have a big pile of it over here."

Sefi felt like rolling her eyes. It's a bit too late for that now, don't you think?! She thought sarcastically.

Besides, why didn't she mention it earlier? Before all the fighting started would've been good. Talk about poor timing!
