Chapter two
The atmosphere at company the next day was joyous as everyone was anticipating the arrival of their CEO's son.
"Hey why is everyone wearing a smile today " Claire curiously asked her colleague as she entered the office.
"The general's son would be visiting the company today " she joyfully revealed. "I heard he came back yesterday ".
"Oh "... was all Claire said as she sat down on her seat.
A moment later everyone was summon to the company's grand hall. chatters and wisphers fill the room as they wait for there CEO to show his face.
"OMG " someone from the back gasp as she covered her month with her eyes wide open and point forward.
everyone gasp as they turned their head towards their CEO'S son who just made his entrance with his father and sat down.
most of the girls were already drooling. Claire stared disgustingly at the girls as she couldn't comprehend why they were behaving that way. not even that the so called heir would look their way, she rolled her eyes.
"Good day everyone " general Ben greeted as he stood up and wave them to silence.
" I'm very happy here today as I'm standing before you, and you can see the cause of my happiness ". he said gesturing towards his son as everyone cheered.
Most of the things he was saying did not even enter claire's ear as she was busy analyzing their CEO'S son. she remembered what her friend told her about not getting into his bad side because main looking at him could give someone some creeps.
"My son has finally return ", Mr Ben continued, "very soon I would step down from my position and he would take over ". he finished proudly.
There was a loud ovation as everyone clapped their hands and cheered. going back to his seat Mr Ben gesture to his son to stand up and say a few things to hie employees.
nor happy with what his father said he stood up anyway.
" hello everyone "... he waved his hands .
" wow ".... some female employees gushed out.
" oh my God "....
" take a look at his abs "....
" gosh marry me "...
some of the girls squeeked as Claire looked at them with disdain.
" its not as if he would look your way " she clucked her tongue and look forward as he continued.
" I'm looking forward to working with you all and I hope you will all cooperate together for a better development of the company".
After some other announcement, they were dismissed back to their various work schedule as the father and son duo went back to the head office.
" how did you see my staffs kelvin? " Mr Ben asked his son as soon as he entered his office and sat down.
" well they are quite impressive ", kelvin answered as he out through the window in deep thought. "but there's need for some changes ".
" why was I so happy that you would take over " his father asked squinting his eyes with a thin smile.
" I trust my son and I know this new generation has a lot to offer.

Claire sat on her chair staring blankly at the computer in front of her. after staring at it for some time she signed and picked up her phone.
" hi Carole "
" are you on break? " she responded on the other side.
" yeah... but guees what "
" huh? "
" like you said, I wouldn't get on his bad side "
"Who? - wait the CEO'S son?, he's back? wow "
" yes Carole " Claire said as she suddenly sat up as if to disclose an important secret. " that man is scary "...
" really " her friend rolled her eyes, "then make sure not to come across him.
"Huh uh " she agree.
The two friends relatively started talking about other things most especially the current movie on the Netflix that got people talking.
"when would it finally air? " Claire asked
" I heard its during the weekend " her friend yawned.
" what ya doing Carole? "
" you wanna come? " she chuckled, " I'm preparing lunch "
" huh nice ", Claire said as she returned back to her computer.
" see ya later bye " she end the call.
As it was nearing closing hour, Claire left her office to meet the CEO concerning the file she summited the previous day.
" I'm still looking through it when I'm done I would get back to you "
" okay sir " Claire nod
" your work's quite impressive I must say, I've not gone everything but the first pages were captivating "
He was impressed by this staff even when works were allocated to her, it always come out excellent.
Claire flushed when she heard it. she was proud of her work and deserve the praise.
" thank you sir " she smiled as she left the office.
" keep it up ", Mr Ben said as she left the office, " your type is hard to come by ". he murmured.
Later his son knock, entered and sat down facing him.
"Dad I'm going out for a walk, I'll be back before night falls ".
looking Ay his son he shrugged and said...
" you're free to go any where you like "....
Back in the office, as soon as Claire returned, she gathered her things into her bag and close from work. she branched into a supermarket to get things for dinner and drove straight home.
sitting down in the kitchen to wait for the food to get done , Claire open up her laptop to visit the internet.
" son " Mr Ben called as he sat down in the dinning room for dinner, " I got a measage from your sister's school "
"Hmm " kelvin barely respond as he munched down on his food.
"She would be home temporarily by next month "
Kelvin just nod his head as he kept eating.
" kelvin " his father called him again with seriousness this time.
" yes dad ". he looked up from his food.
"you know your mom is late and I'm no longer young ", he started. kelvin roughly guess where he was heading to so he sat up and fold his hands on the table with full concentration. seeing this his father cleared his throat and continued.
" like I've saying it before, now that you're about to take over the company, you should take a wife and settle down so that my heart would be at rest ".
looking at his father, kelvin nodded his head and replied 'okay ' nothing else .
" think about it carefully ", his father persist as he stood up heading to his room, " and give me feed back before your sister comes back ".
