Cat and rat chase

Instead of going straight home, Evelyn decided on a little bit shopping. As she walked on the street, she wondered if her actions at the restaurant were good. To her, she had every right to behave frustrated and annoyed.

"Who knew Alvin is such a douche

bag !?" She exclaimed loudly stumping her feet like a child who refused to go home. Passerbys all gave different expressions, some of pity and others disgust. This made Evelyn behave herself.

"Come on Jeremy! You don't have to be shy" A feminine voice said cutely. 'That voice sounds familiar...where have I heard it?' Evelyn said inwardly suddenly her eyes caught a glimpse of Nikita dragging a white skinned guy with black wavy hair which shone beautifully from afar. His oceanic blue eyes was the kind that could drown you and then make you melt. The young man was reluctant at first at that moment to enter the shopping mall looking like a Sissy; or should I say that's what he thought.

"Who's that guy? He's cute" Evelyn said approaching the same mall.

Janta's outfits made him look more than adorable; he wore a baby pink sweatshirt with a drawing if couple holding hands. Nikita almost forced him to wear a skirt but she found cargo pants which had bits of sparkles on it. As for his footwear, well he just went with an old black crocs which was pretty smaller than his feet's. Unknowingly for Janta , Nikita added an accessory; a Bunny headband while he dozed off in the taxi.

As they went through various sections, people 'oohed and aahed' when they saw Nikita and Janta together. Some girls even gave him flirtatious looks but all he did was either smile innocently or ignore the person. When someone complemented him, he'd elbow Nikita and her only reaction to that was either a grin or smirk.

Evelyn on the other hand, couldn't focus on her shopping. She kept on seeing Nikita with that guy everywhere she went. So she entered stalker mode and stared following them around.

"Young woman if you want to talk to them. Just go talk, not behaving like a stalker" A woman said as she passed Evelyn to compliment Janta. Rage began to burn in her as she heard those words. 'Someone had also being following me' she thought. She neither wanted Nikita to see her nor bump into her but that was exactly what happened.

Evelyn wanted to move to another section, not knowing Nikita and Janta were already there. Thus particular section could make anyone go round in circles and this made her bump into Nikita straight on the forehead.

"Owh!" They groaned in pain falling to the floor. Janta quickly held Nikita from behind while Evelyn landed on her butt. The annoyed look on her face worsened when she saw the man beside Nikita didn't notice her existence because all he said was; " Are you alright clumsy wumpsy?"

Nikita's cheeks flushed bright red due to the position they were both in.

"Ahehem" Evelyn cleared her throat as she stood back hoping to get their attention.

'What are you doing Evie you clearly didn't want her to see you' Evelyn mumbled in a low tone as they looked towards her direction.

"Have we met?" Nikita asked, her eyebrows arched.

"Um..n..no!" Evelyn stammered trying to avoid eye contact.

"Umm...I have seen you,what's the name again?..ei..Evelyn!"

Evelyn began to walk away but stopped when Nikita called her name.

"Hey!" She responded with a fake smile slightly tilting her head.

"I don't remember you" she continued.

"You sure?"

"I don't remember you" Evelyn repeated

"We were desk mates in senior year...I'm Nikita Maxwell" Nikita said still trying her best for the lady to remember.

"There's no use, Nikki" Janta said glaring at Evelyn, he knew she was lying.

The more Nikita tried, the more Evelyn didn't budge.

"Jeremy I haven't seen her in years." Nikita said refusing to follow Janta.

"I agree with your brother...there's no use if I don't remember you"Evelyn blurted out.

She was only looking for a way for Nikita to leave. Janta dragged Nikita aside and whispered something to her. After that, he went back to his former position, he gave Nikita a heads up signal.

" Evelyn first of all he isn't my brother and will never be because he's my boyfriend! ". Nikita said boldly like a true diva.

" Boyfriend? I thought Alvin was" Evelyn suddenly covered her mouth with her hands . They caught her. (Mind tricks)

"Aha! So you remember Alvin not me?" Nikita asked rhetorically smiling at Janta and he returned the smile.

"Fine... I give up. Nice (not) meeting you again Nikita" Evelyn said in defeat looking at her straight into the eyeballs.

"You too...Don't tell me you still like Alvin huh?" Nikita asked smiling sheepishly. All this while, Janta started feeling left out. He could only keep a frown on his face while they talked.

"Well look at the time babe" Janta interrupted looking at an imaginary watch. "We better go home and we still haven't played for these"

Janta dragged Nikita out of there like she was a toddler.

On their way out, Nikita kept on mumbling and squeezing her face like someone refused her candy. They passed a large mirror, Janta was confused at the image he saw.

"Hold on, Nikki" he said pulling her to a halt. He reversed to the mirror and gasped at what he saw. His jaw dropped that drools of saliva were dropping from his open mouth. Nikita giggled at Janta's reaction of himself then she closed his mouth. He came back to reality.

"Nikki!..."

"It's Nikita and I'm still your boss so respect me"

"Oh please what if your sister appears out of nowhere. We'll be doomed" He said and she nooded as he spoke.

"Back to the main business, why do I look so...so..."

"Sissyish"

"Yeah!..wait that word doesn't exist anywhere"

"What do I care?" Nikita responded with a bit of annoyance in her tone.

"I'm fine with everything you made me wear but not this"

*Click*

"Perfect timing" Nikita said in a low voice after taking a picture of him pointing at his hair band.

"Hey! Give me that" Janta yelled but she run refused and began to run away. The cat and rat chase began but he couldn't catch up with her. She was running relatively too fast for him to even reach her.

"Those two look madly in love"

"I know right"

Two women (Passerbys) commented as the duo dashed pass them. Evelyn over heard this and began to wonder if it was actually true.

"Wait up!...ni...Niki..Nikita... I..."

Janta paused as he tried to catch his breath then he collapsed on the floor. Nikita felt a blow in her heart the moment that happened. She turned back to see him laying lifeless and exhausted, her eyes became all watery as she ran back to him.

"Jeremy!!Jeremy!!! Wake up...I'll delte the photo. Just wake up" She said shaking his body. A crowd began to form round her and Janta. She began to feel uncomfortable.

"Jeremy please..please" As she said this , she kept his head on her laps. "It seems like he has fainted" A man amongst the crowd said.

"Let's get water"

The crowd dispersed, all in search for water.

"Jere.."

Jeremy stretched forth his left hand and brought her face close to his. Their lips were only inches away.

"How cute" Janta remarked looking Nikita who looked like she was about to cry. She beamed with a smile seeing he finally woke up.

Members of the crowd witnessed this from afar; some smiled happily while others felt jealous like Evelyn! She squeezed her hands into a tight fist looking at them with fiery eyes.

The man from before brought a bucket of water, people signaled him to stop but he didn't get the message so he splashed the water on them.
