Roseline's POV

"Hello"

I picked up the call and answered as it was from my legal husband, Vincenzo.

"Where are you?" he barked, his tone aggressive and controlling.

I took a deep breath, trying to remain composed despite his demeanor. The person who really shows his emotion has now started losing his control so easily.

Standing up I made my way to the corner as I didn't want sister Mary or the kids to hear our conversation. I have always told them that I am very happy and I don't have any problems in my life.

"Very much alive" I replied to him.

I could sense him taking sharp breaths, perhaps surprised by my response. But it didn't matter to me if he was taken aback; after all, there were many things about him that I hadn't expected either.

"Don't test my patience, Roseline. You know it's not tough for me to find out where you are! Still, I'm asking you like a gentleman,"

Like a gentleman?

Really?
