They were the last to arrive and Kane could see Elena trembling in her eagerness to get to the overly large pile of gifts. Marceau, Gaspard, and Leon put the ones they were carrying under the tree. Gaspard and Marceau went downstairs to spend some time with the other Betas while Leon and Agnes went down to Pierre and Meg

“Happy Yuletide!” Sean sang out as soon as he saw them. “I can’t wait for you to see what I got you.” Rémy and Ian waved and Gabriel and Kane sat down next to Marc and Colin on the long velvet sofa. Elena opened her gift from Kane and cried out in happiness. She ran over and gave him a big hug.

“I wasn’t so good this year,” she confided to Kane. “I promised the gods I’d do better. Thank you. I didn’t deserve to get Grace and her bakeshop.” Next she went to Gabriel and gave him a hug and a kiss.
