Rena and Lucius walked into their room together, quietly, and locked the door behind them. Lucius walked to the bed first and sat down on the edge of it while letting out a breath.
"You are certainly something, my love." He said with a slight grin.
"I haven't the foggiest clue as to what you are referring to." Rena answered innocently. "Might I have done something to upset you, dear husband?"
Lucius shook his head, "No, nothing at all. Just making my life a little more difficult. Are you trying to make friends with half of the world?"
"Not really, but if I am being honest, you need more people in your corner than your wife, your mother, and your illicit lover."
"Hey, Kalliope and I have done nothing of the sort, and you said…"
Rena laughed, "I know what I said, and I meant it. Nice of you to acknowledge that Kalliope was the illicit lover though!"
