After they had eaten Rimuru went with the village chief to see the wounded and Kaede was left alone to do whatever she wanted so she started walking around the village while greeting the goblins.

A small light shone down on the goblins and they gave little yelps of surprise, "Ohhh, I feel stronger and faster!" One of the goblins commented and soon the others confirmed as well, "Thank you Miss Maple whatever you did!" The goblin in front of her bowed and thanked her.

Thanks to the buff the village's defenses were set up quickly and everyone prepared for the night to come.

Noises of Howling were heard from outside the village, all the goblins positioned themselves on the fences holding bows and shivered a little when they heard the howling, Kaede wasn't scared by this and focused her gaze on the front of the village.

"Eh? Aren't they super weak?" Kaede said upon realizing that the wolves were dying easily and some fell to the ground out of nowhere, "That's my steel wire skill!" She heard Rimuru say and focused her eyes and saw small threads.

"A petty monster like you dares to hinder us! I will crush you!" The wolf leader said and advanced menacingly towards Rimuru and at that moment Kaede decided to give a little help.

The wolf rushed forward and bit the threads cutting them and jumped towards Rimuru who was still standing, "Rimuru-sama!" One of the goblins screamed in concern but before anyone could react Kaede was quicker.

"Hydra!" She drew her dagger and 3 purple heads came out of it and bit the wolf in midair, "From where?" That was all he could say before getting bitten over the head and dying, "Eh?" however the most surprised was Rimuru who was prepared to trap the wolf.

" Did you do that?" He asked Kaede in surprise and saw her nodding, Rimuru's gaze snapping up in time to see the Hydra drop the wolf's corpse and it fall to the ground in front of her.

The action was very quick and unexpected and ended up catching both sides by surprise, however Rimuru was the first to thaw and inched forward near the leader wolf's corpse, "Hear dire wolves, your leader is dead!" He said and the wolves gave him tense glances.

"I give you two choices, Submission or death!" He finished his words and the place was completely silent, "Well what now?" Kaede asked as she looked at Rimuru who looked thoughtful before looking at the body of the lead direwolf.

"Hey big sage, poison doesn't work on me right?" Rimuru asked looking at the large purple spots on the wolf that were emitting a dangerous looking acid haze.

"Well, sometimes we have to take chances don't we?" Rimuru said and hesitated for a moment before using predator and jumping on the direwolf's body and devouring him, this action seemed to annoy the direwolves who started to growl.

"Ohh, how amazing!" Kaede said and saw that the direwolves were still approaching despite the threatening howl, when she decided to intervene and finish off the direwolves they lay down on the ground and said together.

"Our pack belongs to you!" They said together leaving the place in silence once more, "Did we win?" One of the goblins muttered and when everyone noticed it they started to cheer and cheer together.

Rimuru who saw that the situation was resolved was about to revert to his Slime form but felt something on his back grabbing him, "Ahhh what a fluffy fur." ​​Kaede said as she rubbed herself in Rimuru's fur.
