Chapter 05

"Soobin hyung!" A cute but handsome boy came to Soobin. He was as tall as Soobin. They were in the corridor of the school.

"Yes?" Soobin asked and turned around.

"I heard about your grandma. I'm very sorry for your loss. Honestly, I wanted to go to the funeral but you know how protective my parents are! They won't let me go so far from home." He said.

"It's okay, Huening-ah! I can understand!" Soobin said smilingly. .

"Ah! I'm really sorry I couldn't be there for you." The boy seemed really upset.

"I told you it's fine! Don't worry and go to your class. Okay?" Soobin patted his shoulder and consoled him gently. Seeing the gentle smile on his face, Huening's heart started melting though he couldn't be very happy about his feelings.

"Okay, hyung! Then should we grab lunch later?" Hueningkai asked, putting a smile on his face. If he smiles at someone, they won't be able to say no to him no matter what he'd ask for.

"Okay," Soobin replied smilingly.

"Then see you later!" Saying that Hueningkai left and Soobin went to his classroom.

[Lunchtime]

"Hyung! You don't have classes anymore after this month, right?" Kai asked Soobin. Both of them were filling their plates with food from the cafeteria.

"Yeah, why?" Soobin replied without taking a look at Hueningkai.

"Just because. Since I've a year left until my graduation. And I think I'm gonna miss you." He replied.

"Uh! Really?" Soobin smiled as he felt a little shy by hearing him.

"Yeah! You've always helped me with my studies. So, if I stuck on something after you left, who would help me?" He replied. Kai got his plate full so he started walking towards the tables. Soobin also followed him as he took enough.

"Ei! You can call me anytime, you know? Or, you can just come to my home!" Soobin replied. They were both walking because there were no empty seats in the front.

"But I'm afraid I'd disturb you if I call you. Don't you have the final exams? You need to focus on your studies!" Kai replied and found an empty place for the two of them. He went there and put his plate on the table but Soobin wasn't behind him. So, Hueningkai looked back to check if Soobin got stuck with something. But what he saw made his blood boil out of anger. Soobin was standing in front of a table where five to six boys were eating. But Soobin was drenched with some juice or cola. His half sweatshirt got strained with the juice. And Soobin was looking at them angrily.

"What? What are you glaring at, huh?" A boy stood up and went to Soobin as if he was gonna hit Soobin.

"Hey! You dropped them so I think you should take the responsibility!" Another boy who was spreading his legs towards Soobin to block him from going further said to the boy while laughing.

"Yes! You should! Let us help you too!" Another one said and stood up. Soobin stood still because he didn't want to cause a fuss as he knew he could never win against those school thugs. He sighed and wanted to leave. But those guys blocked him and didn't let him go. Two of them stood in front of him and the other two of them stood behind him. Soobin was standing in the middle of them.

"What do you want now?" Soobin asked with a poker face.

"Hey! We just want to help you since one of us dirtied your uniform, right guys?" The boss of the group said, putting his hands in his pant's pocket. The others agreed with him aggressively.

"Oh! You're going to eat so little? No wonder you're so skinny! Let us fill your plate, hm?" Saying that the boy standing near the table as well as blocking Soobin took his soda can and poured the liquid in Soobin's rice. All of his dishes were drowned in soda and ruined his lunch. Soobin couldn't say anything because the leader of the group was the son of one of the school board members and there was nobody who could say a single word against him. Watching the clatter, girls started to leave the cafeteria as well as some of the boys. Soon the place became deserted. Hueningkai was watching them from afar but he had no idea how he should go and help Soobin. He knew none of the teachers would come to resolve the matter as they also don't want to mess with those boys. He was biting his nails and tried to move but no idea came into his mind.

"Hey! What're you doing? We wanted to help him! But you ruined his lunch!" The one who was sitting still stood up and said.

"Uh! Right! Let's go! Put off your clothes and give it to us! We'll wash them, okay?" The leader grabbed Soobin's sweatshirt and pulled it to the point it'd gonna rip off. Soobin tried to exceed himself but instead, he dropped his plate.

"LET ME GO!" He was trying his best to flee from the goons but he couldn't.

"Shit! You dropped them on my shoes!"

"On mine too!" They screamed as their shoes got dirty from Soobin's lunch which they ruined a while ago.

"You little….!" One of them was going to hit Soobin but stopped as Hueningkai appeared.

"Uh! Guys! Why don't we sit and make some pact?" Kai said and grabbed the boy's hand who was going to hit Soobin.

"Who the fuck are you?" The boy asked. Soobin got panicked after Hueningkai showed up. Because he was used to being treated like this but he didn't want to drag anyone else into this mess.

"Uh! I just saw he ruined your shoes like you ruined his clothes. You guys were so eager to wash up his clothes but I think there's no need for this, right? I'm the new president of the school council by the way. I'll cut his scores since he messed up with you guys!" And you know there's a CCTV camera right behind you so it'd be best to avoid the commotion for now." Hueningkai said with his beautiful smile and every one of them believed what he said.

"Hmph! We'll let you go for now!" They checked if there really was any CCTV camera and when they saw a real camera hanging on the high wall, they left the place.

"Uh! Come and sit. I'm starving!" Kai patted Soobin's back and said. Though he tried to smile, he couldn't.

"But I dropped my plate. So, you go ahead and eat. I'm feeling sticky." Soobin said and looked at his own clothes.

"It's okay, I got a lot so you can eat from mine." Kai pulled Soobin with him and made him sit beside him.

"They were always like this?" Hueningkai asked while chewing his food.

"Hm. But are you really the school president?" Soobin was surprised

"No! I was just scaring them. I applied for the position but they keep rejecting me, hahaha!" Kai said.

"But have you never complained about them to the teachers?" He added.

"I did! But it didn't help! They kept unseeing the matter. So, I stopped complaining about them." Soobin replied but his facial expressions were saying something else. As if he remembered something hurtful but didn't want to say that out loud.
