It wasn't until the evening that Lin Xi lazily strolled out of the bedroom. Her nightgown hung loose on her figure, and as she stepped out, she saw Li Qiang seated on the sofa, engrossed in some literature.
Lin Xi sidled up to Li Qiang, "What are you reading so intently?"
Li Qiang jumped, startled, but still reached out to grasp Lin Xi's hand as she offered it and carefully rubbed it in his embrace, "Nothing much, just some medical literature. There are a few academicians who've published some really great journals lately, and I thought I'd learn a thing or two from them."
At the mention of medicine, Lin Xi suddenly remembered something and hurried back to the bedroom. In short order, she bounced out with her smartphone.
Lin Xi plopped down on Li Qiang's lap, flaunting her phone proudly, "Next week, there's a Traditional Chinese Medicine seminar in F City. I've heard about it. Lots of big shots are attending, and I've snagged you a spot. Better thank me pronto."
