Luna isn't just a simple girl. Others might perceive her as such but this book smart person is hiding something deep in her mind. She promised to hide it forever and lived as a normal person would but some force didn't want to waste such talent. One unlucky day, she found herself in a mysterious place untouched by the modern stuff she's familiar with. The people wear weird clothes, the houses looked old-style, and everything is so simple. It might look simple on the surface but that world had always been full of mysteries hidden deep within and waiting to be found. The place is just like her. She did her best to keep her secrets but the longer she lived there, the harder it is to hide her secrets in the dark. "There's no helping it, let's just embrace the truth," she uttered. "Keep it easy, young lady," a man in his deep, cold voice appeared behind. "Alright" "B-but get away from me" ------ Daily updates
The second Luna closed the door, she could see three people standing in the hallway and they have the guts to pretend they're busy talking with each other when she clearly saw them looking at this room earlier and avoided her eyes after she caught them.
Luna walked past those three and held back her laughter when she saw them stopped murmuring and seemed frozen on the spot. She couldn't take it anymore and turn around them with crossed arms and tightly closed lips. She glared slightly and tilted her head for better acting.
"What are you doing here near his study room? Akiro might vent his anger unto you when he hears some unnecessary noise outside," she said.
They smiled awkwardly but as an experienced chatterbox, Ryle recovered quickly and showed his usual wide smile but it's the familiar smile he used in teasing others. He now knew that Akiro was mad for some unknown reason.
"I wonder who made him angry. It was possible that it was the one who's been called just earlier. Who knows?" Ryle said.
His tone and answer weren't saying that it was Luna's fault but it's an attempt to fish for more information about what had happened inside his study room. Although Luna wouldn't take that bait.
"Right? Who knew? It might be you who would be called later," she said with a shrug.
Ryle's face fell. He suddenly felt scared a bit because Akiro might tell him to pack up his things and leave this mansion.
'I'm sure that I didn't do anything...right?' Ryle thought.
"We didn't do anything wrong, are we Irene?" Erik asked.
It was not her intention to trouble the kids too, it would be bullying so she smiled and shook her head. Luna released her crossed hands to avoid intimidating them.
"I think you won't be if you go downstairs already. Let's go?" Luna said.
The two of them innocently nodded and went towards Luna. They're only a few years younger than her but the two of them were not used to people and often stayed indoors unaware of the happenings in the real world. The one was sheltered to be the heir while the other kept herself from the prying eyes of many people as she became a beggar before the Amsterdam family took her in.
They walked away from the study room which Ryle immediately followed. He didn't want to be left near the irritated Akiro.
Then they spent their time talking with each other until midnight. Luna walked up to her room. The day passed quickly. Luna couldn't say that she wasn't nervous about tomorrow. Somehow, she could guess that some important person will be coming but Akiro didn't say it to her.
When another morning came, Luna dressed up to her usual attire except that she chose to wear a dress that was more elegant but still comfortable. It was a light-colored flowy dress with touches of royal blue, some frills at the top, and have more length that almost reached her ankles. The high-heeled shoes were of the same color.
Luna remembered that she once dressed like this. It's when Ryle's fiancee came over. It was still clear in her mind how cunning his fiancee was.
'Envy will finish her someday,' Luna thought.
She descended downstairs and quickly headed to the dining area. Dressing up for half an hour made her hungry.
'I want to eat the chef's new dish!' Luna thought.
She hummed while thinking about the heavenly taste of the chef's dish. It was a flavor that perfectly suited her taste buds.
"Good morning Luna!" Ryle greeted.
"Good morning. You certainly are in a good mood considering your grimaced look yesterday," Luna uttered.
"I got worried for nothing! Don't scare me like that again. I like the peacefulness here and no one from my family can disturb me," he followed.
"What can I do? I can't help it because you're all eavesdropping yesterday," Luna said.
"I won't, I won't next time. Maybe I have to avoid joking Akiro for now or else you're joke will come true," Ryle said.
They both entered the room after they walked through the long hallway. All of them were already inside.
"Good morning everyone," Ryle greeted again.
"Good morning, Brother Ryle!" Erik said.
He was only the one who greeted back. Irene only smiled, Miss Zione nodded and Akiro didn't even bother looking in his direction.
They all started eating and Luna didn't talk to anyone and instead mind her food.
'Delicious!' Luna commented.
However, her joyous mood didn't last long after she heard the servant's news for Akiro.
"Master Akiro, Master Mage Henry Ziluna, and his companions already arrived. We took them in the reception room as you've instructed yesterday," he said.
"Good, inform him that we'll be meeting him in a minute," Akiro said.
"Yes Master," he followed.
"It's been a while since a Master Mage visited here," Ryle said.
"It's because they don't have the guts to discuss anything with me without being shady," Akiro said.
"Well, some of them are indeed started to rebel against the emperor. Tsk, tsk, tsk," Ryle uttered.
No matter how peaceful one place was, there would be someone who likes to invite trouble and bring down everything with them.
Luna had witnessed too many of those scenarios to even be shocked that some of Magus Nation's authorities were causing trouble here and there.
When they finished their breakfast, Akiro instructed her to follow her to the reception room.
Her guess was right. It was about her and somehow, it became a big issue because the Honorary Master Mage was closely related to this incident.
And as far as she knew, an honorary title was often granted to an individual outside one's place or group.
'Akiro isn't originally from this country all this time,' Luna thought.
She didn't have any news about how Akiro started to became the Honorary Master Mage and even the talkative Ryle has his mouth zipped.
'Someone's suppressing the news about him and he's in favor of that,' she thought.
One more thing, she didn't know why he still needs to do paper works like the other officials of the Magus emperor. His position's supposed to be a title only and nothing more but Luna could observe from this past month that he had equal power to the other Master Mages.
Her deep thinking was interrupted when they finally reached the place. It had a two-way door which was very familiar to Luna.
'Oh! It's the room when I was brought during my first day in the mansion,' Luna thought.
Luna's right. The reception room was the place where Akiro mentioned his time powers. The room was still the same it was when she first came here and it continued to exhibit its utmost elegance in every corner to show off to others.
"It's been a while, Honorary Master Mage," the man said.
'Well, here we start,' Luna thought.
