They were found together, so after Ali and Xiaotao discussed the lightborne bond with them, they agreed to become their lightborne soul beasts.

Both of them just enjoyed each other's company with smiles on their faces before Ali gently asked :"By the way, how has your cultivation been coming along? Are you alright?"

I wanna go and see gramps before going back and checking out the outer courtyard a little. And my roommate will arrive today or tomorrow, so I wanna be there when he comes.

Who knows if he's a good guy and roommate or just an asshole. If he is an asshole, I will definitely set him straight."

Xiaotao chuckled as he gently swung his fist around with a malicious smile :"Alright then, be careful on your way back. Come and see me often, alright?"

He nodded before leaving :"alright, bye, love~. See you later." And he walked to the lakeside, where Xuan Zi would spend most of his time lazing around.

As he reached his destination, he saw Xuan Zi sitting on the lakeside with his feet inside of the water while he held a massive, red purple bottle gourd in his right hand.

He occasionally took a gulp from it, immediately causing a strong smell of alcohol to spread. His other hand held a fried chicken, ignoring the grease on it as he took bites off it.

The way he was eating and drinking made one feel that it was extremely joyful. Ali knew that he had already sensed his presence, so with a smile on his face, he called out :"yo, what up, gramps?"

As he reached him, he noticed Xuan Zi glancing at him with a smile as he sat down next to him :"what's up, brat? You're finally back?"

Ali nodded as he got comfortable while watching the lake :"yup. And I see that your daily routine hasn't changed at all. As lazy as ever."

Xuan Zi rolled his eyes playfully before taking another fried chicken out of his storage device and handing it to Ali :"as if you're one to talk. You're as lazy as me."
