Chapter -5 : A Promise from expert

"Granny Silica, grandma told me that you are proficient in something called runes and enchantment. She also said that, you are the only person who know about this. Is this true??" He blindly lied through his teeth in front of Lamina without hesitation. Shock was written on Lamina's face after she heard Ryan's exclamation.

Lamina didn't know why Ryan spoke like that, but she didn't correct it in front of Silica and decided to get an explanation from Ryan later about this matter.

Ryan didn't know this, he had other plans which were taking place and becoming a great idea which he wanted to realise.

"That's natural. Not only I am proficient in runes and enchantment, although I won't say that I am best but people who can match or surpass my skills can be counted on one hand. I was once used to be most brilliant talent in enchantment and runes. Other than me, the people who are experts are mostly from different races that lives longer than us." Silica felt proud of herself, she didn't forget to showoff in front of Ryan which was not really that far from truth.

"Granny Silica... Then..then... Grandma said that you don't teach anyone about runes, is that true?? You won't even teach little Ryan about it?" At the last part, Ryan had his royal blue eyes covered with big tears. He looked like someone, who has been rejected by someone and had no one, who cared about him.

Lamina and Leon, both watched all this with great interest and disbelief. This was the first time they saw him look like this. They new that these was all just an act by Ryan, they also understood what he wanted so they kept their mouths closed.

'Shameless, I must keep him away from Leon in the future, as much as possible otherwise don't know what he may teach my little baby..' Lamina, as if thought of the root of the problems, decided.

'I didn't know he had such a talent. As expected of my grandson. I must teach him some tricks, although there is no flaw but some training doesn't sound that bad.' In a way, the decision Lamina made, was not wrong in the slightest. Here can become a new story, in which there may be a big fight at the discussion to, who will be the last winner that will influence Ryan more.

But who can tell them, Ryan himself, won't be influenced by them. Silica couldn't take anymore, looking at Ryan's face who may get disheartened and may start crying at anytime, Silica decided that it will not be that bad to teach him, if he had talent for it.

"How can this be.. Lamina just joked with you. Don't worry, if you are talented in learning runes and enchantment, then I will definitely teach you. Granny Silica will help Ryan, don't worry." She will never know that, she had been tricked by a little boy who was not even four or five years old. Lamina and Leon looked at each other's face and tacitfully decided not to disclose this matter for the good of their grandson. They knew Silica's nature, so they kept their mouths shut.

"Really??" Ryan's face visibly brightened after listening to Silica, but as if feared that Silica, may change her mind, he still couldn't help but confirm it once again.

"Why would I lie to you? Naturally what I said, is what I do." Understanding that Ryan was still a little boy, Silica patted his head, while he tried to confirm. She felt that he was too cute.

"Promise??"

"Promise."

"Yey.. granny Silica will teach me... Hehe. I will learn from granny Silica in the future."

'huh... Really difficult to convince old people. Took my all energy to act but if results are these good than, I don't mind even if I have to act a hundred times, it will not be worth mentioning. ' If Silica knew his thoughts, she might have kicked Ryan and Leon out of her house and may never even meet them.

"Thankyou, granny Silica."

"It doesn't matter, this is a little thing, also I will be able to meet you frequently at that time, when you learn from me." Slightly patting his cheeks, she said.

"Owner, lunch has been served." At this time, a maid came and informed Silica.

"Since you informed me of your arrival, I have had maids prepare lunch for everyone. Let's talk more other things later after we had our fill." Silica invited them into the dining room. On the table many types of food was placed. Ryan could see that there is food, that has been prepared specifically for a child, which he doesn't mind eating. He has been eating child food till now and have to say, it has really great taste.

It didn't take long for them, to start eating. Lamina and Silica chatted about old days and many more topics like about kingdom and monsters. While they were busy talking in themselves, Leon secretly gave Ryan a thumbs up to his performance, which looked really natural.

"So what have you decided to do about Ryan?" After they chatted back and forth for some time, suddenly, Silica asked Lamina like this.

"About what?" She didn't understand what Silica was talking about, so Lamina asked back.

"I am talking about his studies regarding sword training and magic." Silica felt that regarding Ryan, everyone in Sigal family has little future plans.

"Regarding this case, it will be decided by his parents. I am more interested in spending my days with him, watching him grow up. I am sure they will think of the best option for Ryan." Lamina knew her son and daughter really well. Although they did not disclose to them yet, she was sure that they will soon ask them and discuss it.

"So it's like that. Don't forget to tell me. Now he will be my student, I will also consider if what they decide is good or not."

"Naturally."

They talked a lot even after eating. Ryan, at this time was exhausted so he just sat on Lamina's lap and started sleeping.

"Looks like he is exhausted."

"Yeah.. let me put him on the bed of the guest room.."

Lamina took Ryan into one of the room of the ground floor and lay him on the bed.

When Ryan woke up, it was almost evening time. He watched that the sun has begun to go down. He got up from the bed and left the room. He came to the hall where he saw everyone on the couch, drinking tea.

"You are up, feeling energetic??"

"yeah." Ryan replied to Lamina and came near her to sit on the couch.

"We are just getting ready to return. It's good that you are awake." They put down their cups and got up as Leon said. Picking Ryan from the ground, Lamina made her way towards the gate where he could see their carriage standing.

"Remember to visit again more frequently."

"We are already here, now it's your turn to come to our place..... You can't say no this time."

"Yeah granny Silica, you should visit us.. it will be lot of fun." Ryan also added after Lamina finished. He wanted her to teach him, he was eagerly waiting that she agrees to them.

"Okay...okay I will be there when I got some time."

Ryan and all then got into the carriage and exited the gate of the building, while he waved his hands at Silica from the window as to say bye.
