Press Conference

"Brother Tang! We have a press conference in about 2 hours, are you prepared yet?"

Tang Hui, a 35 year old genius programmer heard a voice not far away from him as he was sitting on a sofa while organizing his ideas for the upcoming press conference about their soon to be released immersive virtual reality game Godly Mage World.

Godly Mage World was planned and programmed by Tang Hui and his group of friends in 15 years. He and his friends met in high school and were in the same class for Computer Science and they happened to be sitting in the same group. They also happened to be the top 6 most talented individuals in the entire school.

Tang Hui and his 5 other group mates quickly became friends after finding out that they all shared common interests and felt that if they came together and work on something they tend to do a lot better than what they could do alone.

The group of six had always gotten perfect on all of the assignments and tests that were thrown at them. The students at the school called them "The group of Geniuses". Their fame was well deserved as Tang Hui and his friends were rumored to be even more knowledgeable than their teachers when they later enrolled into one of the most prestigious universities in the world, World University.

There was one thing that the students and teachers did not know about these 6 individuals. This group of individuals has a huge passion for magic and mages that they started a company when they enrolled into World University. The company was named Mage Society

The money they used to fund this company was enormous as the immersive virtual reality technology was in its infancy stages back then. The group of six created a very popular MMO game for the desktop computer. These games were immediately loved as the game had incredible graphics and a high skill ceiling as only experts could dominate. The company had instantly gained massive fame and profits.

The company had hired many scientists to develop the technology and became the worlds leading company developing immersive virtual reality.

While studying in university the six friends had planned the creation of the game and started programming after they graduated from the university. They had programmed for countless hours and had finished the game after 14 years. They selected 10 000 people for the beta test that lasted for 1 year. Tang Hui and his friends had finally accomplished their dream of using magic even if it was in a game.

"Brother Song! I have done my preparations and ready for the press conference! I am just itching to release the game!" Tang Hui replied.

Song Xiang was one of Tang Hui's five friends from the Mage Society. He was one of the main programmers and game designers out of the 6 main programmers and game design. He was wearing a black suit and tie with a white shirt underneath which compliments his handsome face.

"Alright Brother Tang! We would be there on the stage with you too!" Song Xiang shouts out as he left the room going to the other's rooms to remind them as well.

Just as the two hours were up. The group of media had already set up their cameras and each media company were asking their reporters to must take the opportunity to ask questions as this was the huge launch of the immersive virtual reality game Godly Mage World.

"Thank you all for coming here!" A loud voice through speakers spreads out everywhere as the attention of the media all converged to the group of six people walking to their designated seat.

The crowd of reporters turn silent waiting for the person to speak again. The person who thanked the crowd was naturally Tang Hui.

Tang Hui looked around as the crowd turned silent. He could see many young reporters that had come to the press conference. When he was satisfied with the silence, he continued speaking "I would like to thank you again for coming here as we are honored to be announcing the release of Godly Mage World. We have been working on this game since we were in university 15 years ago

as we wanted to have the experience of throwing magic around and wielding swords. We are hoping that the release of this game would allow everyone to know how it feels to wield magic powers and strength."

Tang Hui continued the introductions and expectations for about 15 minutes until he finished. The questioning session that the reporters were finally waiting for has arrived. The reporters rushed to the front while asking a lot of questions.

Tang Hui signaled for the reporters to stop and pointed at a young reporter to ask a question.

"Mr.Tang, how realistic is this immersive virtual reality game?" The reporter asked her question.

"Young Miss, I can assure you that the realism is at 99.9 percent realistic. " Tang Hui proudly replied. What a joke! Tang Hui and his group of friends were geniuses and wanted the very best, their pride would be hurt if they released a game that had something not satisfactory. They had programmed the game for 15 years, creating the perfect game and now they are going to release it to the world.

Tang Hui points to another reporter and the latter asked "Mr.Tang, would the gap widen as the people who have a job have less time to play compared to the people who don't have a job would play more?"

"Godly Mage World would open its severs at 6:00 P.M and close at 9:00 A.M. The time difference between the Godly Mage World and the real world is 4 times, which means that for every hour in the real world 4 hours would pass in the game." Tang Hui nonchalantly replies.

The crowd gasped as they figured out the meaning of his reply. The time difference is 4 times which for every hour is just 4 hours in the game which would indirectly making someone live longer. The reporters could not wait to send out the news as soon as possible.

The press conference continued as Tang Hui had gotten his friends to answer the questions of the reporters while adding some information here and there.

When the press conference ended, the world was shocked and started to have even more anticipation for the game.

"Hey guys! Do you want to have a drink?" Song Xiang asked his friends after the press conference ended.

"No thanks, I'll just drink some Pepsi " Tang Hui replied. The other 4 similarly replied like Tang Hui as they also loved Pepsi.

"You guys... " Song Xiang felt tongue tied. He also loved Pepsi but he also wanted to at least have some alcohol every now and then. They finally had the time to relax as the game was scheduled to release automatically at the designated time

Just as they were going to get some Pepsi and relax. They felt a warm sensation coursing throughout their bodies and saw that their bodies were emitting light.

"What is happening?!!" The six of the world's most famous men and women people saw their vision go dark.
