The next day, Regina received news that Rebel Estate was under attack again. "Ms Montez would you like to explain what you're texting about in class?" Dorothy, the chemistry teacher asked. "Since it's practically none of your business,... then no." Gina answered not even sparing her a glance. The teacher was new so she didn't know who she was.
"Ms Montez, to the Principal's office no-" The jingle of the bell interrupted her. Students began exiting the class, but Dorothy didn't let the subject rest. "Regina Montez! What were you texting about? I hope it's not some old man you're thinking of how to please tonight, right?" Thwack! A tight slap landed on Dorothy's face. "Now listen up Dorothy, if you ever say such rubbish again,... you'll regret it. This is just a warning." Without another word, Regina left.
In the cafeteria
"Regina Montez, report to the Principal's office now." came the announcement from the speakers. "That Ms Dorothy is such a snitch. If I were Regina I would beat her up. What's the point of a warning anyway." Morgana said. Hearing the announcement, Gina sluggishly finished her food and dragged herself to the Principal's office. "Sorry, I know you're tired." Abby tried to coax her sister who barely got an ounce of sleep last night.
Jaguar had kept sending messages about the estate attack that still continued. Without knocking, she entered the Principal's office to hear Dorothy say, "I was correcting her for texting in the class and she slapped me. Please Madam, am I wrong to correct her?" Fiona stared at the woman standing before her with an expressionless face. Then she noticed Regina at the door.
"Have your seat." Fiona said. Thinking she was the one being referred to, Dorothy pulled out the chair before her. Out of nowhere, Regina appeared and occupied the seat and Abby sat in the second seat. Dorothy complained, "Can you see this Madam? You asked me to seat and she just stole my seat. She's so shameless!" "And who said I was referring to you?" Fiona asked almost as soon as she finished speaking.
Dorothy "..." "Why did you hit the woman?" Regina glanced at Abby then at Fiona then said lazily, "She called me a prostitute." Fiona looked at Dorothy who quickly denied it. "Madam she's lying! Sh-" "'Regina Montez! What were you texting about? I hope it's not some old man you're thinking of how to please tonight, right?'"Dorothy's voice played out of Gina's phone. "You're fired."
After school, Gina went to the library to sleep. As she slept lazily, she felt a familiar presence. Opening one eye, she asked "What?" "I'm scared." Rea replied. Straightening her back, Gina asked, "Why?" "Nearly killed myself." Gina raised her brow. "Sigh,I know. But what if it grows and what if he catches me and kills me." "I'll try and protect you. Now, you're ruining my siesta." Regina closed her eyes and slept off.
"I know you're awake." "No I'm not." Gina replied. "Even if you don't sleep for three days straight, you'll never sleep during the day." Rea remarked. "When is dad coming back?" "In two days or so." "That's when the divorce cancellation is taking place." Gina said. "You mean divorce proceedings." "What did I say?" yawned Gina. "You said divorce cancellations-" "That's exactly what it is. Now get to work and prepare everything." Gina ordered. "I don't want to." "Fine then. Sing me a lullaby."
"Alright." Rea started singing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'. Just as she wanted to sing the second line, Regina stopped her. "Sing un-break my heart by Tony Braxton." "Why? Who broke your heart?" "Not mine, yours." Rea realized that her friend was teasing her. "Don't worry, I'll go get the divorce cancellations ready." Without waiting for a reply, she left. She couldn't help but curse Regina.
After school, the girls went to the restaurant. As Gina was incredibly tired, Marian didn't allow her work. Regina sat in a corner of the restaurant texting. As she couldn't sleep, she decided to get updated about the happenings of the estate. She received a text from Jaguar.
"Boss, the contract has been drafted."- Jaguar.
"Get it signed immediately."- Regina
"Also, I need a led on who you think betrayed me."- Regina
"Hope you don't mind my company?" Andy asked. Looking up, Regina saw his handsome face and a small genuine smile appeared on her lips. Putting her phone away, she replied, "Not at all. So how are you liking our school?" She tried starting up the conversation, which she never did.
Andrew felt the fluctuating aura around her. It felt like it would kill anyone who came near her but it was giving off a friendly vibe to him. "I hope you didn't get into trouble for hitting a teacher." "Not at all. By the way, I'd like to ask about Ricky." Andrew's pupils shrank as he asked, "What about him?"
Regina laughed "Pretty boy, you have to stop being jealous. I'm not your girlfriend." "If I asked, would you be?" "About Ricky, is he a player?" "You like guys like that?" "Sigh. Pretty boy, you never seize to make me laugh. You deserve a reward." "Okay,... then as my reward I would like you to-" "If it's about being your girlfriend then I will pass." "...to follow me somewhere." Andrew said.
"Where?" Gina asked perplexed. "Follow me." Obediently, she followed him to his Jeep that was parked outside. "You can do anything you want just don't rape me, kill me or assault me. Or else I'll kill you!" Regina warned wearing her seatbelt. Andrew chuckled as he started the car.
Driving the car like a sports car, they reached a small villa at the outskirts of the city. "I doubt this is your house." "Definitely, this is my get away place. I come here to clear my head. Come to think about it, I think you're the second person I've brought here." "Who's the first?" "My mom." Uttering a small 'Oh.' Regina followed him inside.
The villa was decorated in black and white and screamed pure bachelorhood. It was obvious everything was expensive and completely original. The whole villa was dimly lit giving off a gloomy feeling but it was comfortable.
"Why did you bring me here?" "I kidnapped you. Now I'm the only one blessed enough to see your beautiful face." replied Andrew. "Okay pretty boy. No time for jokes, I have a lot going on in my mind and it's just the middle of the afternoon." "Give me your phone." Once she handed the device over, he switched it off. Gina raised her brow, then she heard him say, "I don't want us to be disturbed. Come." He led her to a room in the villa. It was big and pitch black. Not even a ray of sunlight made its way in.
Gina sat on the big bed in the center, it was soft and comfy. Then she took her shoes off and climbed into the bed. She had been tired all day, even though it wasn't visible on her face. Few seconds later, she felt the bed dip beside her. "What are you doing?" "I'm also tired. All because of you I stayed up late last night and nearly died of anticipation. Sleeping beside you is my reward." Andrew said moving close to her.
"Smart pretty boy." Gina mumbled. The vanilla scent of her hair invaded his space. He inhaled deeply, his whole body unnerving as her lavender and vanilla scent intoxicated him. He stared at the girl as she slept. Moving closer, he listened to her evened breathing. "Stay still pretty boy." she complained making him chuckle.
