Chapter 2: Back in Queen Star High

Early the next morning, Gina and Abby got ready for their first day of school at Queen Star Junior and Senior High. "Good morning my good people!" Abby exclaimed sliding down the handrail. "What's so good about the morning?" deadpanned Gina while sipping a cup of orange juice. "What's up with you? It's not even like I'm late or anything. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?" Abby asked, ignoring her sister's cold words. "It's already 7:15. You're late." Gina said without looking at her sister. "It's only by fifteen minutes. What's the hurry?" Abby asked serving her breakfast.

Gina silently continued eating her breakfast without trying to keep up the conversation with Abby who equally ignored her. "Okay, here are your bags. Are you riding to school or taking the bus?" Marian asked them handing them their back packs. "We'll take the bus." Abby said before stuffing a chunk of fruits into her mouth. "Have all our school bills been settled?" questioned Gina, shifting her gaze to her aunt. "Y-yes, y-your mother has handled everything." stammered Marian.

"Gina please be more approachable or else you'll scare half the school away." Abby giggled watching her aunt stammer under Regina's gaze. "But I didn't do anything." Gina stated. "That doesn't mean you aren't giving off a dangerous aura." Abby said. Standing up from her seat, she finished up her food and left to the bus. Few seconds later, Regina exited the worry. The usually icy cold gaze in her eyes had dissolved and her eyes were beautiful like Abby's. Both girls sat at the second to the last seats in the bus while their cousins sat in front of them. Abigail brought out her sketchbook to sketch a new design, being inspired by her sister who stared out the window with a nonchalant expression on her face. Regina was beautiful, but her beauty was the last thing on her mind.

She wore an orange cropped top with white jeans, a black leather jacket and white platform sneakers. A diamond charm bracelet dangled from her right wrist. Abby's gaze shifted to the gold charm bracelet that dangled from her wrist before moving to meet her sister's eyes. "What?" asked Abby, knowing fully well she had been caught. "What are you drawing?" Gina asked. "Myself." came the immediate response from Abigail. "Really?" Regina asked raising an eyebrow. "Seriously, I'm drawing what I'm wearing. A white flowery dress with a pair of silver wedged boots." Rolling her eyes, Gina's gaze returned to the many houses they drove by outside.

Soon, the bus reached its destination. All the students alighted the bus and entered the school. "Fancy seeing you here. How was your trip?" one of the two twins walking towards them asked. Both girls had their long hair resting on their shoulder and their hazel eyes were fixed on the girls before them. One of the girls, who was named Treasure, had the ends of her hair dyed black. "Fine." Abby replied. "Let's go get your tabs and ID cards." said Treasure. "I hope our lockers are the way we left them?" Gina asked. "Yes they are, but your tabs and ID are with Mr Finn." the other girl named Tia said. "Then why are we still here?" Gina questioned walking towards the administrative office. "So impatient. I wonder what her problem is." Abby whined following behind her sister.

All four girls reached the office of Mr Finn, the Vice Principal. Knocking on the office door, they entered. "So here are your tablets. They have already been logged into the school system-" Mr Finn halted and his gaze shifted to look at the four girls who entered without being invited. "I see you're busy Finn,... but I don't care and I'm running late already." Regina said taking a seat in the couch in the office. "Ms Montez,... nice to see you again." Mr Finn greeted while Abby had her seat beside Gina. Seated in the two seat before the office table were two blond boys wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans and white sneakers. "How's life in New Orleans?" Mr Finn asked rampaging through his drawer. "Alright I guess." Abby replied. "Here are your tablets and ID." The middle aged man handed them two ID cards, a black tab with a white skull in the middle and a pink tab with a red rose in the middle.

"Andre, Andrew, sorry for the interruption. Now as I was saying,..." "Who are these guys?" Gina asked, curiosity evident inner tone, which occurred very rarely. "Transfer students." came the short reply from Finn. Abby's lips formed to make an 'O' as she slowly nodded as if comprehending the information. Regina made no effort to leave, silently listening to what Finn had to say to the boys. Mr Finn continued, "As I was saying, before I was shortly interrupted,..." His eyes momentarily shifting to Regina who was completely unfazed by his words.

"...You both have already been logged into the school system. In the system, there are two different periods of school. We have class A-M which holds from 8:30am-10:30am, and class N-Z which holds from 11:30am-2:00pm. Your class will be determined by the first letter of your last name. Now these IDs are your access cards in this school. Without it you won't even be able to use the toilet, so keep it well. Girls, since you're here, why not help me show our new students around after school." said Mr Finn, his focus on the four girls in the room. "I'll pass." Gina said getting ready to leave. "I assume you don't want to visit the detention room,... right Ms Montez?" Finn asked. Without answering, Regina left. "Don't worry Finn, we'll do as you ask." Abby said before leaving with Treasure and Tia. Leaving the office, they headed for their first lesson, English.
