Chapter 19

Christine P.O.V.

I and the man stayed like that to what others might think for maybe a minute but to me, it felt like a decade. He kept on twirling the strand of my hair, my true hair, between his fingers and admiring the shocked look I had on my face.

To my relief, he slowly let go of me and stood up from our scandalous position. He took a coat which was hanged behind the chair he was just sitting on and wasted no time leaving the room. Before he closed the door he gave me one last glance filled with amusement before shutting the door.

I couldn't move from my position on the bed, his bone-crushing grip on me was still lingering on my wrists. I wanted to remove the memory of the man from my memories but every time I do so it leads to his green eyes which held so much amusement.

I tried reaching for my wig but I couldn't feel it anywhere. I stood up from my laying position and start to find for it. As I did that I also started to find ways to escape.
