Hyde and Seek

"Nate?"

The most annoying library patron of the year, as well as the alleged mafia lord, finally flicked his eyes to her. Though, he still refused to say anything.

"Mr Wolfe?" Keira called on his last name, making him flinch ever so slightly. "Where is Hyde?"

He drummed his fingers on his thigh. A nervous tick, she found out now. For the usually playful man to turn into the equivalent of a silent dog with his tail hanging between his legs, Keira suspected that he did something morally wrong.

Nate knew that whatever it was he did to Hyde would not be approved by her. He knew that she'd be cross with him.

She narrowed her eyes at him. "Tell me now and I'd consider forgiving you for what you did to Hyde."

Nate huffed, pouting at her. After another five seconds of silence and her glaring at him, the alleged mafia lord finally pushed another button on the elevator.

"What's on the third floor?" Keira asked suspiciously.
