Mad love (I'm anti-romantic) Book 3

I love you. I hate you. I like you. I detest you. I need you. I think you're stupid. I think you're a loser. I think you're wonderful. I know you stole my heart in addition to yours. But yet and despite all these, I'll tell you one thing, I STILL WANT TO BE WITH YOU...

**** MABEL'S P.O.V. ****

**** Sunday morning. ****

I woke up so early today. The weather reads at- okay forget it, I'm not a geographer. Though it was my fav course back then in school but...

Ouch!

Never thought my teacher would fail me woefully on that.

Yesterday wasn't lit neither was it nice to me. At least it was, a little bit. After the whole sceneries that happened, my lost and found daughters, reconciliations, get-together, unity and all of that, I feel myself again.

Just like back in the days when I was still very young and tender.

I've finished with the dishes, cleaning and my customer's dress.

It's a thyra dress. It didn't took much of my time, just four hours. I almost spent the entire night on this dress. It's long, slender and beautifully made by me.

I'm not bragging myself as the world's most best fashion designer, I'm just glorifying my handiwork.

After I lost my fiancé, Bernard's father, I resigned from my office work and decide to go for an handiwork. I believe that can do much more better than the provision of an ordinary office work.

I've been using my degrees for that, I stopped. Mia took that same leg, copycat.

I have a profession I do, but she doesn't.

With this job, I can make provisions for myself, more better than what a monthly salary could offer.

I detest missing Sunday service, but this particular customer pays well and in double.

I'm not valuing finance to religion, I just don't want to get humiliated by someone who didn't receive her orders on time.

The girls past the night at my place, well that aside. Last night before everyone went to bed, we talked about something...

They'll go home to grandma, moreover tomorrow is Monday, they'll have to go back to school for studies.

I made something light this morning, Mac 'n' Cheese is in the stainless steel flask on top the counter. Two flasks.

I don't know how they like it. Either seperated or combined. It's not the first time to serve them but I'd make it separately.

"Mom," Now that was a one sweet familiar voice calling my name.

I knew who it was, yet I still looked back to confirm the identity.

My daughter, Aria.

"Baby!" I smiled, arms spread wide open for a hug as I approach her, "You're awake."

She nodded with a wide good morning smile on her gorgeous face. The sleepy mode is still written on her face, she just woke up.

We hugged tightly like we just met again.

I brush my fingers through her soft, messy hair. "Where's your twin sister?"

She pointed at the stairs.

There goes Ava, walking down the stairs, hand placed on the handrail as she strolled down. One hand still rubbing her eyes.

"Hi mom," She managed to mumble out the words from her walkie sleepy mode.

I chuckled, still wrapping one arm over Aria's shoulders, "Hello darling. How was your night?"

"Fine thank you, and yours?" She hugged me.

I accepted, "Great." Well... Not really. Everyone had a good night sleep but mine, I was awake almost all through. Working my ass out.

I checked the wall clock, almost the expected time I'm supposed to deliver my customer's order. I sighed.

My daughters suspected my silent tone, "Mom, is everything fine?"

I shook my head, still forcing a light smile. "I'll be leaving soon. I need to deliver my customer's request. You two should go up and get ready for today's activities." I told them.

They shook their heads. Aria planted a sweet warm kiss on my chin and joined her sister.

I stood there smiling, hands clasped, I watched them departed to the room upstairs.

*********

I ordered an Uber to take my daughters home. Before we left my place, we talked about something which should be place on secret mode.

When we're not alone, call me Aunt, but when there's no one but just us, call me the usual Mom. And secondly, no one should know we've met.

Okay, that wasn't an oath, it was just a simple deal between mother and daughters for future purposes.

I'm standing on the roadside. The highway is very busy, cars, trucks, lorry, all types of vehicles rushing here and there.

The traffic lights couldn't be the CCTV camera to capture or count the number of cars zooming off like flash vs godspeed.

I stood there, patiently waiting.

I made several orders for pick-ups, but none has responded yet. I guess everyone is busy, not just me.

The girls had asked me to take the Uber ride which I ordered for them. I refused.

There's no possible way I can join them on that without getting seen by tattletale people. I don't want to be involved in somewhat people dramatic scenes.

The police's investigation at my area is enough for me.

I glance at my watch from time to time, can't this vehicles be merciful for an average woman like me to cross the road?

It's busy!

If only there was a bridge to manover this whole sh*t!

I'm getting late by every single seconds that ticks the clock.

The zebra crossing are not working. Basically, I can see that I'm the only one standing to cross highway.

Ugh!

Little things at times could make me lose my gut, easily!

I'm running out of time, I know it always occurs like this every Sunday. Infact, mostly on-

"Ahh!" I found myself screaming after I felt a hand forcefully pushing me into the highway.

I fell helplessly to the hard tiled graded road which felt rough and smooth at the same time.

My head first of all got slammed on a hard metal-like hood of a car. I find myself rolling over and over like a clumsy pen falling from the table to the ground.

I could barely hear sounds as they were before. Everything seems so slow in my eyes and ears.

I can't hear myself breath, nor make a sound, neither making a move or an inch. I am lying directly upwards, facing the early morning sky.

The echoes of people talking blew into my ears a little.

Before shutting down my eyes, I saw faces of people peeking through to see if I was dead or alive.

Okay I'm not talking bout the musical band, I mean real life 50/50 for me.

And then.....

********

The sound of the Electrocardiogram woke me up. I blinked my eyes once. I blinked twice. I'm not in heaven yet.

I thought this is the route to death. It never felt great but awful.

I'm still locked up in great pains.

My eyes travelled round the place, it's all white. From top, sideways, even the door from a distance.

It's sure an expensive place to be.

The window has white curtains as well...is somebody sure I'm not in heaven yet? Or is this just an holiday with Jesus?

I moved my fingers, to see if I can feel myself. I believe ghosts and spirits don't have flesh and blood.

I felt a thick bedsheet on me.

I stare down, something is pinned right on my thumb finger. A Pulse oximeter.

I can't talk properly at the moment. I struggled myself to sit up but couldn't.

How the hell did I got in here? Trapped in a only God knows-

Oh sh*t!

I'm not dead! I'm supposed to deliver a dress to an important customer and I'm here trapped on a white soft bed?

I struggled with myself and the things plugged on my body. I want to leave this place!

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?" An unknown man walked in. "Stop it!" He waved my hands off from disconnecting the medical instruments plugged on me.

I narrowed my eyes at him, staring intently. "And who the hell are you?"

He poke a car key towards me, teeth gritted, "I should be asking you that before you bumped into my boss's car and caused a whole scene!"

Bumped in your.....wait a sec, I remembered I felt a hand pushed me from the roadside where I was standing and then I fell and my head..... I can't really figure out what happened after that. I woke up and found myself in a....

"Hospital?" I widen my eyes, looking at everywhere in anxiousness, "How did I end up here?" Silence answered me, I stare at the unknown man, "How did I got here?!" I yelled at him.

He frowned deeper, giving me a warning signal with his pointed finger, "Hey! Better behave yourself before the physicians think I sneaked in to inject a patient."

I didn't listen. I never gave room to understanding. I breath faster, my heart pounds. My customer is my finance and my finance is my daily bread. I have to disappear from here right now if I want to pay up my bills. "Let me out of here now you ugly creature!"

Seems like him too is afraid of what might happen next. I saw the frightens written all over his face and in his gray eyes, he contemplated on what to do next so I could shut the hell up.

"Okay, stay calm!" He finally said. Poking five fingers at me to remain still.

I stopped struggling, the bedsheet fell off my hands. I must be mad to struggle and fought with the innocent yet nonliving bedsheet.

Teeth still gritted together, hair must be messy by now, I kept a close focus on him. He's a middle aged man with slightly gray and black hair mix together.

"My boss will be here shortly to console you." He breath a sigh of relief as he continues to inform me further, "Please be still. I'm just his chauffeur who wasn't watching my driveway before hitting on an innocent woman like you."

He looked down and helplessly shook his head, "I'm sorry for the accident, Miss." He walked out with no more words.

I felt guilty for yelling at him and calling him an ugly creature when he's not an alien to start with.

My head lowered down few minutes after he had left and lifted up again at the footsteps of someone approaching my ward.

"Take twenty barrels out for shipping," A man's voice said. "If possible tonight, do it." His footsteps stopped right on my ward's doorpost. He hung up with the phone call and continued typing something, still on the mobile device as he walked into the room.

I tilt my neck, my head corresponded. I corked it sideways, a frown of confusion hit my eyebrows. I stared at him intently, still trying to picture where I knew this familiar face.

Well, not until he kept his phone into his pocket and placed a sharp charming gaze at me.....

THE-FATHER-OF-MY-DAUGHTERS?!

Boom!

Shoot me, please!

Gradually as time permits us before this book finish, I'll update y'all on the assuming photograph of our characters.

Rather than doing some mental picture taking

Alright, alright, alright, let's go to the next scene or should I say chapter?
