Cian was just a child at that time, yet his mind seemed to operate at the level of an adult, if not beyond. Claire grew to resent his actions.
However, he was still her little brother, and Claire was well aware that Cian was engaged in perilous and misguided pursuits.
As his elder sister, she felt a responsibility to guide him onto the right path. And if, despite her unwavering determination, he continued down his destructive journey, she was prepared to intervene, even if it meant taking drastic measures herself.
