"Uwaaahhhhhh!"
In a house in a backalley path, there's a family of five. A husband and mother with their daughter and twins. This family is the Tian family
The husband, Cai Tian, is a construction worker at the city. His workplace is very dangerous with a boss that doesn't care for their safety. But, what could he do? Nothing
The mother, Feng Liling or now known as Feng Tian. She's a hardworking woman who helps out her husband by handling the housework and keeping the kids in check. She also does other part-time jobs to help out their finances
The sister, Xiong Tian, is a rather bad student. She doesn't tell this to her parents however, fearing that she'll incur their wrath. In school, she's known for skipping classes and yet still has good marks so the teachers don't have anything to say
And the twins, Heiye Tian and Baixue Tian. These are the reincarnations of Fang Khao and Luo Zing. The two Immortals from the previous chapter. These two causes trouble a lot around the house and as seen so here
"Oi, Oi Luo Zing. C'mere you fucker!" Fang said, in baby language
"Don't curse… Fang Khao." Luo said, also in baby language, while trying to pry Fang's hand away from his white hair
"Oi! Would you two shut up!?" Xiong shouted. But, like any other times, the two Immortals doesn't listen and would continue to fight
A vein could be seen bulging from Xiong's forehead as she grab the angry Fang, or Heiye, and Luo, or Baixue, by the back collar and lift them up. The two look at each other while ignoring their sister that's fuming with rage in front of them
"Now listen here you two, don't fight when I'm around here, alright? That's all I'm askin' so please for the love of god, stop fucking fighting and speaking… baby language!"
"Tch, noisy woman." Fang said, clicking his tongue
"Fang, be nice. She's your sister." Luo said
"Our sister, idiot." Fang rebuked
"Fine, whatever." Luo said, sighing
Xiong sighs also and put the two down. And immediately so, Fang grabbed Luo's hair and tug on it. The latter grab the former's hand and grip it with considerable strength. Xiong stare blankly at the two's ruckus and sigh a second time
"Seriously, you two are twins and yet you fight almost everyday."
"What'd ya think, woman? We're mortal enemies in the past and we'll continue to be in this life."
"We don't have to be, Fang Khao. We could be like what destiny has brought us to be, brothers."
"Hell, fucking, no."
Xiong went back to her bed and grab her phone again. While the two was fighting, she was texting a boy she know in class. This boy was her homework doer, Gao Cheng. She was texting him about her homework
[Oi, Gao Cheng, ya done with my homework?]
[Not yet Xiong. Be patient, it's only 2 days]
[Yeah, and aren't ya suppose to be done by now?]
[I'm currently working on it so could you stop texting?]
[Whatever, you better be done this after noon and send it over]
[Yeah yeah]
When she's done texting, she turn it off and close her eyes for a little nap. But something was wrong. There's silent in the house. She belatedly notices this and sit up immediately, checking the two Immortals
"H-Huh?"
The twins, they were alwayss fighting. Always. But for some times in the day, they won't and didn't even utter a word. This was one of those times. They're sitting in a meditating pose with their eyes close and their hands on their knees. Xiong look puzzlingly at her twin brothers and squint her eyes
'Is it just me or… is there wind gathering around them?'
The twins were cultivating. Yes. Cultivating. But, it wasn't successful at all. Becausee of one thing, the lack of Qi in the air. So, after a few minutes. They've absorbed the Qi inside Xiong's room and this makes Xiong feel wrong. It felt like there was something missing inside her room
The twins the stand up. They're only 1 year old and yet they could stand perfectly like a 8 year-old child. They walk to the door. Heiye turn to Xiong and said while pointing to the doorknob
"Sister, open the door for us."
"H-Huh? You… want me to open the door?"
Baixue nodded and she went to the door, opening it inward. The twins went out and stayed in the hallway. They sat down and continue to absorb the Qi in the area. Xiong watches from her room as the same miniature cyclone, unnoticeable by the eye, form around them
They would continue around the house for a while, sitting down and cultivating using the basic Qi Collecting technique from their past life. The reason why they don't use their ultimate Qi techniques is because of inappropriate timing. Luo prefers the high ground while Fang prefers somewhere with a lot of negative energy
And while they're doing this, their sister would watch them, most of the times without blinking. Their mother would be back from her part-time job and find Heiye on the ground and Baixue in the sofa, both in a lotus position while Xiong was watching from the stairs
"Ara ara, what are you three doing?"
"Mom, look at them. There's something weird going on with those two."
"Hmm? What do you mean, Xiong?"
"They would fight nonstop for hours, maybe even the whole day fighting. But now, they're just sitting around the house in that lotus position, breathing."
"I see nothing wrong with that? Sure, fighting isn't allowed but they're kids and upme reprimanding them didn't even do anything. So, seeing this, sure is a change of air."
Heiye and Baixue open their eyes and look toward Feng. Heiye's red eyes were examining her like a predator sizing up it's prey while Baixue's black yellow eyes were calmly gazing at her. But somehow, right now, a profound aura was being exuded from their eyes
Feng giggles and walk toward Heiye and pick him up, placing him next to Baixue. Heiye then look at Baixue and him at Heiye. The two squint their eyes and make a "Hmph" sound before turning away
Feng smiles softly as Xiong watches with amazement
'Truly mom, they won't even look at each other. Meaning they don't want to fight.'
Fast forward a couple of hours and Cai, the father, return from his stressful construction work. His sweat filled blue uniform that's covered in dirt and dust from construction. When he enter the house, a smell of cooked fish went into his nose, making his stomach growl
"Welcome home, honey."
"Hello everyone."
He went to the dining room/kitchen. Inside, Heiye and Baixue was sitting at their kid's table while Xiong was sitting at the normal one and Feng Is preparing the dishes for the twins. Cai sits down and grab a bowl of rice
"Hi dad, how's work?"
"Good, although pretty stressful dealing with my boss."
"Oh, that guy. He's pretty rude for someone that old."
"Well, anyways, let's eat, are the kids' meal done?"
"Yeah, you guys can eat, I'll feed these two naughty brawlers."
"Oi, who're you calling brawler, woman?"
"Fang! Where are your manners! She's your mother and mine as well so don't you dare use that kind of language to address her."
"Bah, whatever."
The Tian family is known as a pretty tight and loving family. Fast for ward a few years, Heiye and Baixue went to kindergarten and Xiong is on her last grade in junior high. The twins' fights nw escalated to throwing punches, although the weird thing Is that there were no bruises when they fought against the other kids and yet the ones that battle the twins receive pretty major wounds on their bodies
This continue all the way to junior high where they got twice the amount of battles. Heiye in particular was much more battle hungry. So much so that on the first day, if not for Baixue, then he would've been expelled. But luckily, the school didn't know and their parents also didn't know
Baixue on the other hand gain fame along with Heiye. Their beautiful, and peerless appearances attracted the gaze of girls and the envy of the boys, that's also how some of them provoked the twins but only Heiye took it, Baixue just see them as flies
They made it through junior high with a pretty clean record. Their academics were good as well, managing to get into a pretty good high school. Xiong, now, became a pretty successful woman. She work at a company and got a good position, being a manager
This is when Champion's Realm came out. The first VRMMORPG in the market came out one day without warning, taking the world by storm and not even a single shred of information was on it, not even a trailer. The headset in which it plays on is also cheap, even a poor family could afford it
Baixue and Heiye, who's into games since in their past world didn't have anything like that. But, the games they played hardly made their blood boils. Sekiro, Shadows Die Twice was an example for a good game that they liked. And they still continue to play it, replaying even after It's ending and getting the other endings as well
They thought that no other game could make them become excited but they were wrong. After three days of it being released. The whole internet blow up with searches of it. And this, of course, interested the twins
YouTub also has gameplay regarding this game and it's reviews were great. So, they regroup their money which they saved for years for new games that take their interests and bought the headset and the Champin's Realm game chip
They went home and shut their door. They put the game chip into the headset and then connect it to a power source. They put it on their heads and lay on their respective beds. They take a while to collect their thoughts and press the button on the side
They lay their hands on their stomach and a sudden tiredness assaulted them. They close their eyes and fall into a light sleep but when they close their eyes, they could still feel their bodies. They reopened them, thinking that something was wrong and realized that they're not in their room anymore
"What the?" Fang Khao and Luo Zing said
"Where am I? And… where is Luo Zing/Fang Khao?"
They look around their subconsciousness to find each other but then a screen appear in front of the twins, grabbing their attention
"Huh?" They both said
The screen read
[Welcome to Champion's Realm]
[You are currently in your subconsciousness, so you can't find anyone other than yourself]
[Basic introductions to the game. Time is in a 1:3 hour ratio. Your body and mind will be analyzed to determine your starter stats]
[Analysis begins…7%…19%…27%…32%…46%…51%…]
Heiye and Baixue look as the progress bar increases. In the meantime, they look around their mind. The vast emptiness and darkness stretch all the way to the horizon. A ding sound catch their attention and it was the sound of the progress bar completing
[Analysis completed. Choose your starter class]
Then, a bigger screen showed up and was much more up close to their face. There are six possible classes for them to choose from
"I wonder what class that buffoon/shithead will chose." Heiye and Baixue said respectively to each other
[Swordsman: +10 Str]
[Warrior: +5 Str; +5 End]
[Wizard: +10 Int; +8 Mag]
[Archer: +10 Dex; +8 Acr]
[Assassin: +10 Agi; +8 Dex]
[Healer: +10 Fth]
[Blacksmith: +20 Dex]
[Artisan: +20 Dex]
[Architect: +20 Dex; +5 Str]
[Beast tamer: +15 Chr]
[Merchant: +20G; +8 Chr]
[Master: +10 Stat points]
In the classes, there's none that really caught the twins' attention. The classes were generic classes in any or all games in the market that they've seen. But one was the exception. The Master class. There was no description for the six classes so they don't have any information on the class. This makes the twins interested as they dislike normality
They ended up choosing the Master class and the system changed
[You have chosen the Master class. Warning, if you choose this class, you won't be able to change into any other class. However, to compensate for this, all side stats will be unlocked and you can train it by performing appropriate actions. Do you confirm your choices?]
This makes the twins smile. They didn't have any thoughts on the other classes so this was good. Heiye smirked and Baixue smile softly. They confirm their choice
"Yes!/yes."
[One more thing before you connect to Champion's Realm. Choose a name for yourself. Numbers aren't allowed and inappropriate names are forbidden]
This was easy. The twins decide that, since this is a VR game, why not use their old names? It was reminiscent and it was what they were originally knew by. So it was an obvious choice
And so, this begins their journey into Champion's Realm. A journey that'll inspire others as well
