It's the final battle at Raftel, Luffy and his pirate crew vs the marines. The battle is going back and forth with many casualties from both sides and at the last moment of the battle, Trafalgar Law dies. Law is determined to make one last move to help Luffy win, so just before his death, he uses his fruits' special ability and sacrifices himself to give Luffy immortality. One thousand years later Luffy manages to find a way to return back in time, so he could help his friends and family make their dreams come true since he already achieved his, and was eaten by the guilt of being the only one that did so. it is the final battle between the marines and straw hat pirates at the shore of Raftle, Luffy and the straw hat pirates have defeated the yonko and are now charging towards the marines that are blocking their way in front of the one piece. Luffy and fleet admiral Sengoku clash, while Zoro Sanjih and brook are battling the three admirals. all of the other straw hats are taking on thousands of other marines, be it vice admirals or regular soldiers. but the sheer numbers of the marines are slowly making the straw hats retreat to their ship. after all the straw hat fleet just can't compare to the sheer size of the marines. slowly but surely the straw hats start to go down. robin is the first to retreat from the battle, after using her devil fruit to take out quite a lot of the enemy in AOE attacks. after Robin Nami also retreats, then Jinbe and then Franky. Chopper, who stayed at the ship for support, just can't keep up with the load of work. and just as the marines seem to have won, the heart pirates, Shankss fleet, as well as other pirate groups that the straw hats had meet came to help them. the tables had turned, and now the marines are at the end of their rope. however just before the marines lost they called their trump card, and the five elders joined in. the battle was still in favor of the pirates however, they started to suffer losses. Zoro, Chopper, Franky, Nami, and Sanji all lost their lives, and just before the marines had been defeated, so did law. Law, not wanting his last moments to go to waist, decided to use the legendary ability of his fruit and give Luffy immortality in exchange for his life so he can help the future pirate king one last time. all the deaths inraged Luffy and gave him a chance to win the fight. the battle had concluded and the pirates won. both marines and pirates suffered heavy losses, but in the end, it was the pirates who came out on top. Luffy and the pirates buried their dead before going to the one-piece. Luffy was finally declared the king of the pirates but after the losses his crew took he couldn't be happy. Luffy went out to the ocean with what remained of his crew to spend time with his beloved friends. however, he was immortal now and after many years of exploration with his crew, they left to the next world while he was fated to stay. he returned to being the king of the pirates, and he ruled for thousands of years. Luffy was deep in depression. while his dream came true, it was his dreams fault for causing the death of his crew, and he couldn't kill himself either because then he would waist the precious gift that Law gave him in exchange for his own life. and so he continued living, seeking challenges like Kido so that someone may kill him. however, no one could. Luffy started to obsess over training to take his mind of the guilt, he developed countless new ways to train in haki, and he discovered all the secrets that it held. he trained in countless martial arts and mastered them all while waiting for a day when he could forget about all the suffering that he downed in
