Summary: You were not a touchy person, hugs made you feel overwhelmed, people standing to close made you nervous. In all honesty you weren't entirely sure how someone as out going and extroverted as Lucifer, even became your friend. Yet it happened and you were happy it did.

............................................................

You followed Lucifer into the precinct of the LA PD. The place seemed busy, people rushing from one place to another in a hurry. Lucifer had promised you it would be a quick visit, and you wouldn't be staying long. The only reason you had agreed to come was because he promised you food from your favorite restaurant.

"I'll be just a moment."

Lucifer noticed your slight panic, and he gave you a worried look. He knew why you were panicking, you couldn't handle being touched it made you feel overwhelmed and trapped. If he wasn't there it meant there was no one to block someone from placing a hand on your shoulder or bumping you.

"Would you like to wait in the car darling?"

You shook your head, forcing a smile.

"I'll be fine Luc."

You watched him walk away, leaving you standing alone by detective Decker's desk. The picture sitting on her desk caught your attention, long enough for you not to notice that someone had walked up to you.

"Do you need some help?"

The voice made you jump a little in surprise.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

You got a good look at the man, he seemed familiar, but you just couldn't figure out why.

"Oh it's fine, I was just caught up in my thoughts, but no I'm just waiting for Lucifer to come back." You smiled politely.

"You know Lucifer?"

You nodded, scanning the room for him before turning your attention back to the man standing before you.

"I'm Y/N."

"Dan Espinoza."

Dan didn't fail to notice you made no move to shake his hand, but he chose not to say anything about that.

"You're Y/N?"

A woman with black hair nearly skipped over to you and Dan, her smile was bright, and you immediately knew exactly who she was.

"I am, and must be Ella! I've heard Lucifer mention you a few times."

You didn't think it was possible, but her smile grew even more.

"Lucifer talks about you the time! It's so nice to finally meet you!"

She moved to give you a hug but Lucifer stepped in front of her to block her path. You hadn't even noticed he was back.

"Ms. Lopez, Detective Douche, nice to see you both." Lucifer greeted them.

He cast you a look over his shoulder to see if you were ok, and you gave him a smile.

"Since you've already meant Ms. Lopez and Daniel allow me to introduce you to detective Decker."

The blonde woman standing beside you, held a hand for you to shake. You panicked a little and tried to find a polite way to refuse to shake her hand.

"I'm afraid she doesn't like to be touched, it's very overwhelming for her." Lucifer explained.

Relief washed over you and you gave Lucifer a grateful look.

"And I was totally about to hug you, I had no idea, sorry about that." Ella said.

"You don't need to apologize." You assured her.

"How are you friends with her then?" Dan asked Lucifer.

"I beg your pardon?" Lucifer frowned.

He looked offended that Dan would even ask such a thing.

"You're not really known for having boundaries." Dan said bluntly.

"Dan." Chloe scolded.

"I'm just saying, it doesn't make sense, I'm just surprised he doesn't overwhelm her, daily." Dan shrugged.

Lucifer looked not only insulted but absolutely outraged. The truth of the matter was Lucifer was extremely good a respecting your boundaries. He had never once even accidentally brushed hands with you. If someone happened to bump into you on the street he nearly tore their heads off.

"I have never caused her any form of stress or panic about such a thing." Lucifer hissed.

"I find that hard to believe." Dan muttered.

Lucifer's glare hardened and in an attempt to defuse the situation you grabbed his hand. Almost immediately his anger turned to shock, and he stared at where your hand held his.

"How about some lunch? You promised to take me to eat remember?"

Lucifer continued to stare at your hand, and he slowly nodded.

"Yes, of course."

You kept a hold of his hand until the two of you were out of the precinct and into his car. You stared a head, bouncing your leg a little as you daydreamed to calm your thoughts.

"Why would you do that?"

You turned your head to look at Lucifer, but he was focused on the road ahead of him.

"Do what?"

"Step outside of your own comfort zone, you didn't need to do that darling." Lucifer sighed.

You watched him for a moment, Lucifer was tapping his ring against the steering wheel, he was upset, thinking it was his fault you felt the need to do that. You smiled and once again you grabbed Lucifer hand that had been resting on the gear shift.

"I know I didn't need to, I wanted to."
