Summary: Lucifer had gone thousands and thousands of years without getting sick once. However spending an hour in the pouring rain with the Detective by his side proved to be his undoing. Luckily he's got his baby girl to try and make him all better.

Lucifer sighed as he stood in the elevator. His soaked clothes clung to his body in the most uncomfortable way. Waiting in the down pour of rain with the Detective hadn't been how he planned for his evening to go. When the doors finally slid open he felt his shoulders slump in relief.

"Daddy! You're back!"

Lucifer smiled tiredly as his five-year old daughter ran up to him. You stopped short of hugging him though, noting that water was dripping off his clothes.

"Why are you wet? Were you playing in the rain?"

"Not exactly."

Lucifer shifted through his pockets, pulling out a wad of cash and handing it to the babysitter as she walked by.

"Mr. Morningstar this is way too much!"

He waved her off, despite the young woman's protests.

"We'll consider it compensation for staying an extra hour, drive safe now."

Lucifer pressed the button on the elevator, effectively closing the doors, cutting off the babysitter's protests.

"Are you ok daddy? Your face is all red."

Lucifer looked down at you, as you stared up at him with innocent eyes.

"Yes little one, I'm just tired is all, let me get changed into something dry, and we'll watch a movie."

You nodded, watching your father walk away before going to find the TV remote you had lost earlier.

As the minutes ticked on though, you began to notice your dad was taking to long. Being the curious five-year old you were, you decided to go and see what was taking so long. Your little feet ran across the cool marble of the floor and you climbed the stairs into your father's room. Lucifer was laying on the bed, in dry clothes and sleeping soundly on his stomach. His face was still red, and he had bags under his eyes. You placed a hand on his forehead, not very surprised to find him warm to the touch.

"You rest, I'll make you soup!"

You turned around, hurrying from the room heading straight for the kitchen. You spent a good five minutes rummaging through the cupboards before finding what you were looking for. With the can in your hands you pressed the button on the elevator, patiently waiting for the doors to open. When you finally reached Lux, you navigated your way through the various amounts of people there, stopping once you reached the bar.

"Maze!"

Said demon leaned forward on the bar to look at you with a raised eyebrow. You held up the can, pushing it onto the bar as you stood on your tiptoes.

"Can you open that for me?"

Maze picked it up, turning it as she looked at it.

"Canned soup?"

"Daddy is sick, I'm going to make him better!" You announced proudly.

"With... soup..."

You nodded, giving Maze a very serious look.

"Soup makes you feel better Maze."

Maze couldn't help the smile that tugged at her lips, and she pulled out one of her knives. You watched with keen interest as she cut open the can and handed it back to you. With a quick thank you, you began to walk back towards the elevator. Maze watched you closely, until you were safely inside.

A chair scratched loudly on the floor as you pushed it over to the counter. Climbing on top of it, you grabbed a bowl before climbing back down. You were very careful as you carried the bowl into Lucifer's bedroom, setting it on the nightstand beside the bed.

"Oh, I need to make the toast, you wait there!"

You hurried from the room yet again, and pushed the chair down a little, until you could reach the toaster. Dropping the bread inside you turned the nob and waited for it to pop back up.

Lucifer groaned a little, when he felt someone shaking him. He groggily opened an eye, to find his daughter sitting beside him on the bed. You smiled at him, jumping a little.

"I made you soup and toast, so you'll feel better."

Lucifer rolled onto his back sitting up a little as you gave him the plate with the black toast on it. He had to stop himself from holding it away from himself in disgust. You looked so proud of yourself.

"Did you make this all by yourself pet?"

"Yep, Maze opened the soup for me, but I made everything!"

Lucifer glanced over at the bowel of soup he could tell was cold just from looking at it.

"It's so you'll get better daddy."

Lucifer took the plate from his daughter's hands, smiling at you.

"You didn't need to do this for me my little spawn, but thank you."

You grinned, hugging Lucifer before sitting back down.

"Are you going to eat it?"

His smile fell a little, and he looked back at the toast that more resembled a piece of coal. He looked at you again and when he saw how proud you looked of yourself.

"Of course I am..."

Lucifer took a cautious bite, blanching a little at the taste. You however didn't seem to notice, to happy with yourself.

"You gotta eat it all daddy!"
