Summary: Christmas had to be one of your favorite times of the year. The lights, the movies, it was all so magical. The only thing missing was the snow.

............................................................

"Oh come on. Stay put." You muttered.

The lights you were attempting to hang up were being stubborn, refusing to stay on the hooks. As your frustration grew, your motivation to decorate for the holidays dwindled. The heatwave that had just hit wasn't exactly helping with your Christmas spirit either.

You sighed as the other side you had just hung fell to the ground. You stared at the colorful lights in annoyance, hoping none had broke.

"What in hell happened to my penthouse."

You tilted your head back a little, watching Lucifer look around his home with a flabbergasted expression.

"I've been decorating." You shrugged.

He looked over at the tree standing tall and glowing brightly in the corner. The tree was bad enough trying to get it up here in the 70° degree weather. Now the lights were your newest challenge.

"I see that."

Lucifer picked up the little snow globe that sat on top of his piano, shaking it a little. He watched the white flakes inside fall before turning his attention back to you.

"It looks like a bomb went off in here, filled with blinking lights and tinsel."

You looked at him confused, to preoccupied with your current task to realize he was teasing you.

"I haven't even used any tinsel yet Lucifer."

You rolled your eyes, grabbing the snow globe from his hand and returning it to its place. He watched you turn your attention back to your prolonged struggle with the Christmas lights, and he chuckled a little.

"You are taking this whole decorating nonsense far to seriously my dear." He tsked.

"I'm almost done! I just need to finish the lights, but I can't get them to stay in one place." You sighed in defeat.

Lucifer laughed at your pout, walking over to lend you a hand.

"Don't fret love, I'll help you."

He held up one end of the lights so could you secure them to the stone wall. Your bright smile made his heart swell, and he pretended to clear his throat, as he turned his head to hide his the smile that twitched at his lips.

Lucifer watched you take a step back to admire your handiwork, although he wasn't about to admit it out loud, his home did look almost like a winter wonderland. You seemed pleased with your work, even giddy as you turned to look at him hopefully.

"Do you like it?"

You held your breath, hoping all your hard work wasn't going to waste. Even though he wasn't a big fan of the Christmas season, you silently prayed he liked what you did.

"Well darling, it does look rather beautiful doesn't it?" Lucifer smiled.

Your overjoyed expression made his smile grow and you hugged him happily.

"You really like it?"

He held your hips, giving you a charming smile.

"I love it."

Your smile grew, and you gave him a quick kiss before pulling away. You looked around the penthouse once more.

"Now all we're missing is some snow." You mused.

"I'm afraid you can't do much about that one my dear, it is LA." Lucifer reminded you.

"I know, we can always buy some fake snow though."

Lucifer raised his eyebrows, and placed his hands on your shoulders, leading you towards the elevator. He could only imagine the mess that would make.

"As much as I appreciate the effort you put into making my home festive for the holidays, how about we just enjoy the wonderful weather we're having yes?"

You protested weakly as he ushered you into the elevator, insisting the fake snow would make it better.

"If you want some snow darling then, we can take a trip to the mountains." Lucifer chuckled.

You shook your head as he stepped in beside you.

"I'd settle for just buying a snow cone from a street vendor." You laughed.

Lucifer nodded, pulling you to his side as the doors slid closed.

"If that's what you want love."

"Anything to beat the Christmas heat." You winked.
