Summary: You had been like this for as long as you could remember. You couldn't remember a time when you couldn't hear what others were thinking. All thoughts running through minds, some made you shudder others made you laugh, but his, well you'd never heard thoughts like his before.

............................................................

The first time you had come here it was because your friends had insisted on getting you out of house. You had been content with your plate of food and your favorite show. They had begged until you had finally caved in and agreed to let them drag you out.

You had to admit you did have fun, and the volume of the music canceled out the loud sound of people talking. You danced and you drank, and you had fun. Until your friends found some people to grind against. You opted to sit at a booth towards the back of the club, absentmindedly taking a sip of your drink.

You looked up confused, you had always been able to hear what other people were thinking. Normally you tuned other thoughts out, but whether it be your slightly intoxicated state or the fact his thinking was that loud, you heard it. Your eyes scanned the crowd and you watched as security lead a man with a blood nose out of the club. There was another man cleaning blood from his hand. He was dressed in an expensive looking suit. You assumed he was the one, whose thoughts you had heard.

You frowned, humans, devil face? This man thought as though he wasn't one. You felt your stomach drop slight as a small thought of your own whispered in the back of your mind.

You shook your head to clear your mind and tried to find the man again. He was gone. You searched the club, looking for any sign of him, and finally found him, walking towards you. You panicked slightly, did he see you staring at him? Did he know?

"Are you here alone darling?" He said with a charming smile.

"No my friends are around here somewhere." You smiled back.

He motioned to the spot next to you and you stared at him confuses for a moment.

"May I sit, or is this spot reserved?"

"Oh! Sorry, I'm still a little tipsy, yes, you can sit." You said sheepishly.

He sat down beside you, holding his hand out for you to shake.

"Lucifer Morningstar, and who might you be my dear?"

"Y/N L/N. Lucifer huh? That's not a name you hear every day." You smirked.

"Yes well, king of hell and all that." He chuckled.

"And what is the devil doing in LA? Sight seeing?" You teased.

Lucifer smiled at you.

"I'm on a bit of a vacation, hell gets rather boring after a while." He shrugged.

"Bit of a rebel then, are you? Your dad must not be happy about you skipping out on his plan." You teased.

Lucifer stared at you intently and you realized to late that he hadn't actually said the last part out loud. Your mind searched for an excuse or some way to climb out the hole you just dug for yourself.

Lucifer watched you closely, but you wouldn't look at him. You could hear various thoughts running through his mind, but he didn't seem to know just how you knew that. You heard your friends yelling for you and was thankful for the excuse.

"It was nice talking to you."

You stood up and Lucifer watched you like you were the most interesting thing in the club.

"Indeed, I can't wait to see you again darling."

You hurried to meet your friends but you could feel his eyes on you until you reached the top of the stairs. You had a feeling you had gotten yourself into something you wouldn't be escaping from.

And were you looking forward to it?

Yes.
