Summary: Earth was nothing like Hell, so many things to do and you tried your best to blend in. You wanted to see everything the city had to offer and Lucifer was beginning to realize keeping up with you might be harder than he thought.

……………………………………………………

“Lucifer.”

You stood beside the bed, waiting for him to wake up. You had wandered around Lux all night, growing bored once everyone had left. You then spent the rest of the night impatiently waiting for the sun to come up. Once it had the first thing you did was go to the penthouse. You had attempted to wake Lucifer several times, each time proving to be useless.

You put your hands on your hips, frowning at his sleeping form. You leaned back down, close to his face.

“Lucifer!” You shouted.

He jerked awake, eyes wide as he stared at you with an irritated expression.

“Bloody hell! Are you part banshee?”

You smiled at him innocently and he sat up.

“Why in dad’s name are you awake?”

You tilted your head, frowning at his question.

“Was I suppose to sleep?”

Lucifer looked at you incredulously and ran a hand through his already messy hair. Apparently you were, but you didn’t understand why.

“Demons don’t need to sleep.” You said confused.

“Yes, but you are on earth now darling, and sleep is a luxury you really should take part in.”

“Noted.”

Lucifer almost laid back down, fully intending to fall back asleep for a few more hours. However, when he saw you looking at him expectantly he realized that was no longer an option.

“It is six in the morning love.”

You nodded and continued to stare at him. Lucifer sighed as he stood up.

“Alright, give me a moment to get ready.”

You smiled widely as you watched him disappear into his closet. Your ability to wait grew smaller and smaller by the second. You had taken to counting how many bottles Lucifer had stocked up on his shelves. When he finally walked out, dressed in his an expensive looking suit as usual, you couldn’t have been more relieved.

“Well then, where would you like to go first my dear?”

You didn’t have to think long about that.

“I want nachos.”

Lucifer chuckled at how serious you sounded when you said that.

“Really? I’m sure I could get us a reservation at a restaurant that serves more edible food. At the very least food that won’t put you into cardiac arrest.”

You shook your head as you followed Lucifer into the elevator.

“I heard that Ella girl and that therapist you see, talking about a bar that sells these thing called nachos and how good they are covered in cheese, and I want to try them.”

“Very well darling, I shall take you to get that dreadful sounding snack.”

The excitement on your face made him smile and you grabbed his arm practically dragging him from the elevator once the doors opened.

“My you are certainly in a hurry today.”

Lucifer looked at your food with a disgusted expression as you ate the cheese covered chips eagerly. The two of you sat at a table outside the bar, watching people go by. Occasionally you had a question about humanity that Lucifer answered to the best of his ability. When his phone rang you focused your attention back to your food.

“Just a moment darling, I need to take this.”

You were half listening to Lucifer’s end of the conversation and some other woman’s at the table beside yours.

“I feel like I just need to have a spa day you know, I’ve been so stressed lately.” The woman sighed.

That spiked your interest and you turned back to Lucifer.

“What’s a spa day?”

The joy on his face made you instantly regret asking, and he hung up, not evening bothering to say goodbye to whomever was on the other end.

“I know a wonderful place not to far from here!”

You let out a yelp as he pulled you along. When you walked in the calming atmosphere of the place almost made you sick. You stepped back when a woman walked up to you.

“Mr. Morningstar, nice to see you again sir, the usual?”

“Yes, for me and my companion here.”

The woman led the two of you back a hall, and into two separate rooms. You panicked a little at being separated from Lucifer but followed the woman regardless. As Lucifer began to get undressed he heard someone let out a pained scream from your room.

“Oh dear, that didn’t sound pleasant.”

Lucifer wrapped a towel around his waist pushing past several people as he hurried into the room. The sight before him almost made him laugh. You were wrapped in a towel holding it up with one hand. With your free hand you held the masseur’s arm behind his back at a painful looking angle, if he moved it would most likely snap. You noticed Lucifer and then glared back at the masseur.

“He tried to touch me.”

Lucifer chuckled and pulled you away from the poor man, who cradled his arm to his chest as soon as you released your bone crushing grip.

“That is his job love, it’s called a massage my dear.”

You looked at him blankly and Lucifer cleared his throat.

“Perhaps we should move on to the sauna instead. Wonderful if you’re feeling a bit home sick.”

Lucifer lead you to a wooden room with a hand on your back. You gave the masseur a half-hearted apology before following Lucifer into the steamy room. He sat down while you stood there looking around.

“It’s hot in here, humans sit in here to sweat? Why?”

“Helps to relieve tension darling, come sit.”

You shrugged sitting down beside him. Lucifer didn’t fail to notice you had grown unusually silent and turned his attention to you.

“Y/N, are you alright? You’re normally much more talkative than this.”

“Should I go back to hell?”

Lucifer looked at you surprised.

“Why would you ask that?”

“I don’t exactly fit in here Luci, maybe I should have stuck to what I know.”

He raised an eyebrow.

“You didn’t fit in very well with the other demons either if I recall. You much preferred tormenting them over the human souls.”

You smiled a little, remembering the pranks you used to play on your brothers and sisters.

“After a few thousand years of torturing humans, life gets boring. And after a while so did messing with the other demons. I definitely don’t fit in here though.” You sighed.

Lucifer smiled, moving closer to you.

“You don’t have to fit in here darling, why would you want to? That’s terribly boring.” He winked.

When you didn’t respond his expression softened.

“There’re many things to do in this city, give it a chance love, and if you still wish to leave, I’ll take you back to hell.”

“A deal with the devil then?” You smirked.

The spark of defiance, that familiar wild gleam in your eye had returned.

“Now that  fun.”
