Chapter 10

Raphael literally fed Sophia until she was full. The food was too much but the little woman gobbled up almost everything.

After she was done eating,he wiped her mouth clean with a towel.

"Thank you for the food Raph,it was delicious." she said smiling to him.

"Anything for my queen." replied Raphael smiling back at her.

The way he called her his queen sounded so sweet. she was loving it.

"What to do now?" Sophia inquired . She was curious what was the activity for today.

"Just remain in bed all day and make love my queen." he replied cocking a brow.

Sophia blushed hearing his word's. make Love? again? she was already sore down there but anyway,the proposal was a nice one.

"Okay." she said shyly.

"Why are you being shy,we already did that?" He said in a taunting voice.

"come,I'll take you somewhere." He said beckoning her to come to him.

"Where?" The ever curious Sophia couldn't help but ask.

"It's a surprise!" he replied.

surprise! she loved surprises.

Talking her into his arms he teleported and soon they appeared in a pool of water.

" it's very beautiful." she said wowed by the magical spring.

"Yeah it's beautiful and the most important thing,the water here is magical. It can heal any wounds and relax your muscles." Raphael explained.

He brought her here to make up for the sleepless night they had. Though she did not complain much, he knew she was in pain. Last night it was her first night but he did not control himself and tired her.

Sophia could guess what he was thinking. He must be feeling guilty because of last night,but she didn't want him to. She wanted it just as much as he did and he has given her the most magical night she has ever had.

"Come,let's soak." He said grabbing her by the shoulders then led her to the spring.

"You will feel refreshed after soaking for a while." he said.

"Thank you Raph." she said seriously.

she was thankful for his thoughtfulness,for his care, for the wonderful night and most of all,for the love he showered her with.

"There's nothing to thank me about my lady." He replied.

"No Raphael. I have to appreciate for the things you've done and shown to me since you arrived. Life has given me another chance to experience Love, something I never got in my previous Life. My Father was never concerned about me,all he cared about was his company. My sister on the other hand used my love to betray me and caused my death. come to think about it, maybe that was all fated so that I could experience the magical love from you. With you around,I just feel happy,I feel safe,u feel contended .

I know maybe my life here will not always be peaceful,that man had told Sophia that he could save her from her coming misery,that's why she accepted his pill ...." she couldn't finish her words since she was interrupted.

"What man?" His voice not so pleasant.

Sophia could feel the change in his voice but she did not cower one bit. He was her mate and would never hurt her.

"In Sophia's memories, immediately after your wedding,a man had appeared in your room and offered to help her escape her I don't know what it meant but he talked about her cruel fate." Sophia explained softly turning to look at him.

Raphael's face had a far away look as blue veins started appearing to his face.

She did not have any idea what he was thinking about but then she did not want him this angry and troubled.

"I am not like her, even if the whole world comes after me,I will never let go of your hand. I would rather fight than leave you all alone. I don't know what the future has in store for us Raph but it is my promise that I Sophia will never abandon you." she said assuring him of the sincerity of her words .

It was a promise that she came to fight with all her might, fighting bravely from the claws of death just to keep it.

Raphael's face changed slightly when he heard her words. Yes she loved him,she wouldn't abandon him.

Sophia crawled to his laps and kissed him.

Raphael was no longer surprised by her actions. She was one who could take the initiative to show him she loved and desired him. This was something that assured him that it was indeed real. His mate was real .

He pulled her closer to him and deepened the kiss and just like that, the couple made love again and again until Sophia was exhausted.

After cleaning her,he teleported them back to the house.

He laid her to bed and covered her with the quilt. He was not tired himself and he wanted some answers to his questions.

He teleported himself to Gavin's house.

"Lucifer,what a pleasure to see you here so soon." He greeted smirking.

He was sure his friend will come looking for him soon.

Raphael did not answer him and just sat down on the chair.

"So what brings you here." Gavin was back to his serious self.

"She told me." He replied.

"Who?" Gavin asked

"Oh come on you know who I am talking about." He said irritated .

He hated it most when Gavin tried to act all ignorant.

seeing him frustrated brought happiness to Gavin. He simply shrugged his shoulders meaning of you don't tell me, how am I supposed to know.

"My Sophia,she told me about her secret." He said.

Gavin couldn't help but chuckle. His Sophia? wasn't he the one who despised the idea of having a mate?

" And what did she tell you?" Gavin questioned.

" She said that she was not Sophia,I mean not the Sophia I married. She said she came from another world and that she had died but then the next thing she knew she woke up here,in my kingdom." he explained.

" And then." Gavin knew that was not the end of the story.

" That she somehow got to see Sophia's memories." he said.

"So you mean to say,she is not Sophia but has Sophia's memories?"

"Well that's what she said." Replied Raphael.

"Interesting." Gavin muttered.

"What's interesting about that?" Raphael rebuked.

Gavin did not reply.

"What worries me is that,she said Sophia was given a pill by a certain man and that was what had almost taken her Life.

"A man? what Man?" now that was alarming.

"Are you asking me? I also don't know. I wonder who could hate me so much as to offer my mate a poison to kill her. Could it be the heavens are playing a game with me?" Raphael wondered.

"Don't rush into conclusion Raphael,we still know nothing about that man." Gavin adviced him.

"That's what frustrates me,I just got united to her, what if that man comes back and tricks her again?" Raphael was not in a position to imagine his life without her anymore.

Gavin caught the important word in the sentence.

"You just got United? does that mean you have completed the mating bond? No wonder you feel different." Said Gavin with a knowing smile.

"What's with that smile,she is my mate so sooner or later,we were to complete the bond." He defended himself.

"yeah sure. said Gavin.

"We have to find the identify of that na Man, I can't let anything happen to her again." Raphael declared with resolution.

"Yeah,I guess you should,that way,you can know his motive and reasons for doing that."

"You can start from those people you have offended." Gavin continued.

"Are you joking? if that's the case,don't I need to investigate everyone in the whole world?" Raphael declined that proposal.

"That's what you get for offending everyone." Gavin said smiling.

"I am going out,I don't want to stay with you anymore."

"What's the rush, atleast accompany me for a cup of wine." Gavin pursuaded.

"I better go spend time with my mate." he replied and with that he disappeared.

"Do you have to brag about it? wait until I find my mate,I'll let you have a taste of your own medicine." complained Gavin but nobody was there to listen to his grievances.

Sophia was deep in slumber when she felt somehow invade her senses. A man appeared next to her. The environment remained the same,in the room.

"Greetings lady Sophia." The man greeted.

"who are you?" she sternly asked.

"Your saviour!" he replied.

"cut the crap,do you think I will fall for your tricks?" she rebuked him.

"I mean no harm,my lady." he replied.

"You mean no harm? aren't you the one who tricked the previous queen into taking the pill?"

she asked him.

"I saved her from her fate?" he said shamelessly.

"Oh let's say that's true, why do I need your saving? she asked calmly.

"Because if you insist on being with the devil,you are bound to undergo the worst suffering. He is cursed to never find love and peace in his life but it was also prophesied that,he will be granted a mate, she would be the one to rescue him but she will pay a huge price for that to happen."
