Shocked

Skyler was shocked to hear what he just said, what the hell did he mean by ' We will die together ' she still want to enjoy her youthful age.

She saw him staring at her with his blue eyes still not looking at the road for Godsake, did he plan to kill her for real.

" Look I don't wanna die just yet, so please can you focus on the road " Skyler pleaded with him.

" I thought you missed my smile "

" I don't..... it's just that I'm used to seeing you smile that's all " Skyler said.

" Oh really " Lucifer said and at the same time Skyler's phone rang.

Both Skyler and Lucifer stopped talking and wondered who was calling her phone. She took her phone and checked who was calling her.

She saw that it was Maya, she was hoping it was Chris or Mr Ken. While Skyler was still at Lucifer's mansion, she tried calling Chris number but he was not picking up, maybe he was not with his phone.

Picking the call " Hello " she answered.

" You finally pick up your call huh " Maya's voice sounded angry over the phone.

" I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..... "

" I've been calling your number like for ever, I know we ain't really close friends but you should have picked up atleast and tell me you're fine "

" I'm sorry but it wasn't my fault "

" Whose fault is it then, where the hell have you been "

" Look when I get back I'll explain everything for you okay " Skyler said, she couldn't start explaining everything that happened to her on the phone.

" Alright, I missed you Sky " Maya said and Skyler could hear how sad her voice was.

" Me too "

" Chris came looking for you, he was worried about you too, have you called him "

" Yeah I did, I'll call him again later " Skyler said and failed to see the frown on Lucifer's face.

" Okay bye "

" Bye , we will see later " and the call ended.

Lucifer had been listening to Skyler and Maya's conversation until he heard Skyler said ' I'll call him again later '.

His face darkened 'so she had first called that Chris of a guy before she had called him. That's why she took time to call him 'Lucifer thought to himself.

Skyler didn't notice him frowning as she was now staring outside the window, he wondered what she was thinking at the moment.

Hopefully she wasn't thinking about Chris, he stared at before he asked " Is Chris your boyfriend " he wanted to know what she will say.

Skyler who heard what he said turned her head with so much force that she almost hurt herself, if she had used much force she would have snapped her neck.

" Ouch... What ? " she asked rubbing her neck.

" Careful..... Is Chris your boyfriend, cause he seems to care for you with so much calls and texts from him " Lucifer changed his words.

' Did he read Chris texts 'Skyler thought to herself ' this man !!!! ' she wanted to scream at him but she held herself back.

" He is a close friend of mine " Skyler said and Lucifer finally calm down a little bit, he was glad she didn't say he was her boyfriend.

" Why did you ask "

" Nothing, just asking.....we are here " Lucifer said changing the topic as he entered a big clothing store with a big writing engraved at the top of the clothing store ' ZAMSII'S CLOTHING STORE '

It was where women clothes are sold, Lucifer parked the car at the parking lot. Skyler hadn't noticed that they had gotten to their destination until Lucifer told her.

Her eyes were wide when she read the name of the clothing store, it was one of the most biggest and famous clothing store in the city.

She thought he would take her to a normal clothing store and get her casual clothes but he had taken her to a very costly clothing store, just how rich was he. Kendricks Easton was rich but it seems that this stranger who told her his name was Lucas was times two richer.

The name Lucas sounded familiar in her ears but then there were many people bearing that name. She watched him open the door and got off the car.

Just before she could open the door of the car, he had already opened it for her and offered her his hand to help her out of the car.

Giving him a small smile, she accepted his hand and got out of the car " thanks " she said.

Just then Skyler remember she was still wearing his big oversized shirt with no slippers or shoes on her feet, she looked like someone who came from the street.

She used her hair to cover her face as people were staring at her " don't be shy " she heard him say, how could he say that when he was neatly dressed in his blue suit and black polished shoes.

While she was dressed in a.... a oh God !.

Meanwhile the people around who now noticed who had come out of the car with a young girl had their eyes and mouth wide.

" isn't that the infamous CEO of Grey's corporation " one of the people said, it was a woman who held a little girl of two years in her hand.

" Yes, he's the one..... But what was he doing here " another person said.

" Is that a girl he's helping out of his car "

" is she his girlfriend "

" I don't think so he never takes any woman out according to what I've heard about him "

" You can never be so sure "

People kept on saying things that Skyler couldn't hear but Lucifer heard it all and there was a faint smile on his lips which Skyler mistook that he was laughing at her cause she was wearing his shirt.

They finally got inside the clothing store, the saleslady who owned the shop was attending to someone else when her eyes caught sight of Lucifer.

She gasped and excused herself before going to attend to him " Good afternoon Mr Lucas, please have a seat while I attend to your needs " she greeted and offered Lucifer a seat ignoring Skyler's presence as if she wasn't in the shop too.

Skyler didn't care about it though as she wasn't used to having people's attention on her but Lucifer noticed it and refused to accept the chair provided him " I need clothes for the lady here " he said in his sweet voice.

His voice was like music to the ears , the woman then shifted her attention to Skyler who was staring back at her with a smile.

" Oh miss, I didn't see you there " the woman lied ' of course you wouldn't see me as you had your eyes on Mr handsome ' Skyler said in her mind.

" I'm sure you didnt think I would be the one wearing the clothes , did you ?" Lucifer said.

" No sir, right this way miss " the woman gave him an awkward smile and led Skyler towards another part of the store.

While Skyler and the woman was busy inside the store, Lucifer looked around the place as he scanned the shop ignoring the stares he was receiving from the people who were also inside the store he was in.

His eyes landed on a white long sleeve dress, the dress was simple and with not so much designs on it. Picking the dress, it was smooth and soft in his hands.

At the same Skyler came out of the store with the woman, she wore a blue jean trouser which hugged her skin, it brought out her hips and round sexy butt.

She wore a white hoodie over it and blue sneakers, she was looking so hot but when Lucifer saw her he frowned not liking the way the jean was tight on her body and showing her curves.

" So, how do I look " Skyler asked.

" I don't like it, it's too tight on you "

" But I like it, it suit me perfectly "

" Didn't you see any better clothes in there atleast the one which will be a little free on you "

" Hmm, you're not my husband or boyfriend to choose the clothes I'll wear " Skyler said.

" Will you be my girlfriend then " Lucifer suddenly said Ignoring the people around, he could hear some gasping.

" What ? " Skyler was shocked to hear what he said.

Did he just ask her to be his girlfriend in front of everyone ?

Was he serious ?

Looking around she saw people staring at them, she looked back at him and saw how serious he was.

Lucifer didn't mind the people around when he asked Skyler to be his girlfriend, he wanted to know her response but seeing her not saying anything he said " ..... So I can choose your clothes for you ".

Skyler didn't know the right words to say till she heard him say " why don't you try this dress " that's when she noticed the white dress he was holding in his hands.

" Uhumm.... I .... Can you all stop staring at me " she shouted at the people who refused to take their eyes off her.

When they realize they had stared too much they minded their business but without saying somethings in their minds.

' Such a stupid girl to turn down the offer of the CEO of the Grey's corporation '

' Who wouldn't want to be the girlfriend of a wealthy man like him '

' If it were to be me in her shoes I would have been jumping up in joy '

Lucifer heard all what they said in their minds but he pretended not to hear, but Skyler heard none of it as she was also a human like them.

" I'm fine with this " Skyler said.

" Okay " he didn't force her and he ordered more clothes and shoes giving it to the saleslady to wrapped it all and he paid for all the things they bought.

Skyler couldn't say anything but just stand and watch, when they were done " let's go " he said holding her hand.

The saleslady sent her apprentice to carry the things they bought to the car but before they got to the entrance door, Lucifer stopped and handed her a dark sunglass " here, wear this "

" Huh...why " Skyler wondered why he was giving her a sunglass to wear, when did he even order it .

" Just put it on and you'll know why " he said and Skyler collected the sunglass from him and put it on, she dressed her hair properly.

And just when they got out of the store, there were hundreds of people outside waiting for them with cameras flashing everywhere.

Now she knows why Lucas has given her the sunglass to hide her face as she hated too much of attentions on her but how did he know.

Why are they so many people ?

Was he some kind of important person ?

Just then her ears caught someone saying " Oh my God, it's the CEO of the Grey's corporation, what was he doing here with a girl ".

Wait ? CEO, did she hear wrongly .....

CEO of the Grey's corporation ?

Lucas Grey ?

What the f*ckkkkkkk

Was he really the one ?

How come she didn't recognize him ?

That's why his name sounded familiar to her ?

Was that why people were staring at her in the store when he had asked her to be his girlfriend to know her reply ?

Was he even serious about it ?

Was that why there was so much crowds because he was the infamous Lucas Grey of the Grey's corporation.

Oh God ! Skyler felt her head was going to explode soon with what she just found out.

She stared at him and saw him frowning, it's seems like he doesn't like the crowds too, but where are his bodyguards. Why wasn't his bodyguards here with him, they would have chased those people away.

Oh ! She remembered she had pretended to be in pains so he could come back to the mansion. He must have thought that she was truly in pains as she remembered the reaction on his face.

She had dragged him out of his company, she felt sorry for him but then she needed to go home.

Suddenly the crowds of people stopped taking pictures of them and made way for them to pass with the apprentice carrying their packages.

She was sure she was going to appear on the news. Lucifer had been listening to her thoughts, he doesn't need any bodyguards but then he needed them to act human.

But he couldn't take it anymore as he used his powers and invaded the minds of the humans to make them stop taking pictures of him and Skyler and also made them clear the way for them to pass through.

When they finally got to the car, he opened the back seat door for the packages to be placed in. After that he held the door open for Skyler to get in before he did and started the engine of the car.

Just before he could drive the car Skyler's stomach growled angrily and they both stared at themselves " you're hungry " he said.

Skyler felt embarassed, she just remembered she hadn't eaten anything since morning till now, shaking her head and she offered him a smile " It's okay I'll eat when I get home you don't need to.... "

" Wait for me " he said cutting her off.

He opened the door and stepped out of the car again , after some minutes he was back with a hamburger and vanilla yogurt for her.

Offering it to her " here " he said and got into the car after Skyler collected it from him " thanks " she said.

After strapping his seatbelt, he asked " where is your house " as if he hadn't been there once.

Skyler told him and he drove off from the clothing store to their destination.

She was finally going home.
