Chapter 4

CHAPTER 4

I AM WALKING to the cafeteria to see Haidee because we will eat together.

I'm alert now, I'm always looking around because I might have another embarrassment again, But it's really good that the man in the hallway didn't make it a big deal when we bumped into each other.

When I entered the cafeteria, I was amazed at how beautiful it was because it looked like the ones in other countries and there were also many tables here, unlike in other schools where you can only count the tables and chairs available.

When I entered, I looked for Haidee and I could easily find her because she was sitting in the middle of the cafeteria, and also at the strength of her voice when she saw me.

"It's good that you came, I thought you wouldn't be here," she said

The cafeteria is easy to find because there is signage like the ones in the mall.

But I remember again why I took so long.

"T-there's a lot of people" I said because it was embarrassing to say that I entered the restroom wrong

"Oh I'll go ahead buy our lunch first" she said and then quickly walked to the counter to order

I was not even asked what I wanted.

I sat down to wait for Haidee.

I just notice, the crowd looking at me. I don't know if I have dirt on my face or what.

I just bowed because I was conscious of the way they looked at me.

Later I heard accented screams and whispers so I looked up.

Three men are coming to my place. At first, I did not know them but later I was almost confused when I saw those three men who were the people I had met earlier.

The man in the locker, restroom, and the one in the hallway. Yes, the three of them.

I hurried out of my seat and looked for a vacant seat nearby so I could easily see Haidee later.

Thank God very much and they did not see me because one was using a cellphone, the other was just waving at people, and the other was just looking around as if looking for something.

Can they be together? Are they friends?

The three men sat in my seat earlier. And they took out their cellphones.

But wait, where is Haidee? The queue is not that long, right?

Speaking of, I saw her walking to our table earlier and she's with the three men that I think are staff here in the cafeteria and they are carrying two trays full of food.

I am about to call her but then I realized something, I thought that if I did that the three men might also turn to my place.

I did not know what to do. If I'm going to approach her or what because when I do that the three men will see and still see me.

I saw Haidee sit there and speak. I can't hear what they are talking about because each table here is quite a distance away.

A few moments later Haidee stood up and walked towards the exit of the cafeteria.

I quickly got up to follow her but first I made sure that the three men would not see me.

When I came out of the cafeteria I saw Haidee who was quite far away and walking towards the direction of our classroom building so I accelerated my walk to catch up with her.

"Haidee!" I called her and she immediately turned around and approached me

"Where are you from? When I come back, you are gone" she told me

How can I tell her what happened earlier? I'm embarrassed.

"Ahm what w-nothing hehe, I'm already hungry come on" I just said and then walked first to avoid her questions

She immediately followed me.

"Yiee ~ let's go, I don't want them to wait for too long!" Said frowning at me

Who? Who is she referring to?

She led me when we entered the cafeteria and eyes were looking at us again.

Even though we're still at the entrance I could see where we're going to sit. That's where the three men I met earlier sitting.

I looked away and blocked the hair on my face when they turned to our place.

I will prepare myself for the new shame I will experience today.

I just felt like we had stopped walking.

"Hey, guys! She's the one I'm talking about, Aizelle my new classmate and my bestie!" I can feel the happiness in Haidee's voice when she introduced me to them

If she only knew how embarrassing I was earlier.

"Uhm h-hello" I said a little weakly while still looking in the other direction and my hair is still blocking my face

"Hey! Look at them" Haidee whispered to me

"I see them" I whispered back

I did not notice Haidee hugging me and then touched my face and faced the men in front of us.

My eyes widened and I quickly bowed. I just bit my lower lip because they knew me. I'm doomed.

"Oooh! I know you!" One said that I was mistaken for peeping because I thought the girls' restroom was for boys

"Huh? You know her, Nata?" Haidee asked

Nata? Who is Nata? Isn't the man in the restroom she is talking to?

"Yeah, she's the one who came in—" before he could finish what he was going to say I quickly approached and covered his mouth

"Oh God, no please that was so epic" I said softly to him

They looked at me in surprise, well except for the man I bumped in the hallway.

"I know her too" my eyes widened when the man I mistook for my locker spoke

Haidee's eyes were questioning us.

"She thought my locker—" as I did before I also covered her mouth

Those are embarrassing and should not be voiced out.

"O-okay? So what the hell is happening?" Haidee asked while frowning and sit at the chair in front of us

"Ahh hehe nothing" I said and then let go of the two and then stood next to Haidee again

"How about you Santi? You did know her?" Haidee asked the man I bumped into in the hallway

He looked at me so I gave him a pleading look.

Please lord, may he not increase the shame I am experiencing now.

"No" I breathed a sigh of relief because of his answer

"By the way, would you mind if you introduce yourselves?" Haidee asked the three of them

"I'm Jonathan Serrano" the man introduced himself to the restroom and winked

"I'm Ryan Vasquez" a man introduced himself in the locker

"Santi"

And the fun begins...
