It was almost morning when they finally returned to the city and were already in Arnold's mansion.
Arnold knew he had a lot of explaining to do to Devin and at the hospital. He hoped nothing happened to the old man who he left his surgery done halfway.
He would blame himself if he died. It was now he finally finds Devin's advice valuable and had regret not adhering to it. He also thought about where Devin was and how he managed to leave the hospital after last night's incident.
His mobile phone wasn't at the mansion, so it must probably be at the hospital.
When Arnold got to the hospital that morning, he was informed about Mr. James' death. Arnold blamed himself for it.
He later retired to the office. Even when the other surgeons who continued the operation explained to him that Mr. James wouldn't have survived the operation in the first place.
