He Needed Her

Vera's heart cracked right in half. Earlier, before the Kane personality went crazy and attacked her, he said that blood was love. That it was the only way they knew how to love and people didn't like that. 

But here Casey was, in the middle of a psychotic break, telling whatever hallucination he was listening to that they were wrong. She had more of a positive impact on him than she realized. 

He was right. Love was soft. And she was never, ever going to let anyone else tell him otherwise again. Even if he was completely crazy, he still deserved to be loved. Everyone did. 

This was fixable, wasn't it? He could get help and then everything would be okay. 

Casey hadn't wanted to hurt her. He came to after she had talked to Kane about how much she loved him. That was when he realized something was wrong. It didn't seem like he had before. He had genuinely thought Kane was a separate person rather than a result of his trauma.
