Chapter 23- Doubt

Delilah regained consciousness and sat up, she sat there in a daze for five minutes before her mind began to process all that had just happened.

She had known Harrison Su since they were children? She couldn't remember him? She has no memory of whom that elderly woman was, and she clearly doesn't know where that place they were was.

Doubt crawled into her thoughts. What if this box wasn't hers to begin with? Or is there someone else with the name Qing Qing? Or maybe the little boy wasn't the Harrison she knew? Was she dreaming?

Then, certainty began to navigate her thoughts. She knew this box was hers, she had a weird feeling of longing as she stared at it.

She was sure the little boy in the pictures was Harrison, she took one of the pictures again.

With the help of her imagination, she placed the older Harrison and the younger Harrison together,

"Hmm…. Same eyes, but the older one's eyes are not bright and warm like the younger one…", Delilah reasoned.

She imagined the older Harrison having bright and warm eyes, but it made her cringe instead, so she let it be.

"They both have the same nose, lips, ears, and hair color…", Delilah sat rooted to the ground, her eyes were as wide as saucers. " D…. Does that mean…? Ha…. Harrison…. Is…."

Delilah's thoughts were in a frenzy. But if he truly knew her, why didn't he approach her? Why didn't he say any word to her that day? Why did he look at her like that? Does he genuinely know who she is?

Or…? Did he lose his memory? Was he scared to talk to her? Was he still unsure? Has he found a new love? Does he still love her? Does he despise her?

Moreover, Why did she forget him? Why couldn't she remember anything about him? What happened to her? How did she forget him? Was she the one who lost her memory?

Even if she doesn't remember anything from the past, judging from the letters, pictures, and toys. She could tell how much their love for each other was.
