Chapter 4 : Emotions

He cursed the Miss who sent him on this dead mission.

He realised all his men were on the floor,

They all have a part of their body broken .

"Who ..who are you?"

"You are not worthy to know who I am "

"Please we ..we are just street hooligans who didn't know a master and provoked you"

"Please let us go ,and I promise, we will do anything you ask us to"

"I don't need weak people like you"

"But I can let you go ,only on one condition "

"Please tell me ,we will do anything you ask us to"

"I am a civil citizen ,so I won't kill any of you"

"Report yourself to the police and tell them everything you did"

"Including who sent you"

"That.. that"

"That what ,or would you rather have something broken"

"Will do will do"

"Good ,don't let me tell you how to do it" she warned

Anika left the dark the hooligans,

She knew they would not go back on their words.

She looked at her fist and realised this body was too weak for anything.

She got exhausted as soon as she broke the third hooligans rib,

If it had been in her previous life ,they wouldn't have had just a broken rib

She wouldn't need to waste her time on such weakenings.

She felt her forehead and realised this scare has been there for sometime now.

And as an expert in medicine,

She knew right away it was poison.

But who would do such a thing , was it her mother or someone who doesn't want her to live.

That would have to wait, she has had an exhausting and wanted nothing than to hit her head on a pillow.

Back at the Sam's family mansion,

The family of three were having dinner ,as Amira kept looking at her phone with anxiety.

"Amira dear ,are you ok "

"You have been looking on your phone and not having your dinner"

"Are you expecting something " her mother said with concern

"No mother, I am just checking when our summer camping is going to take place"

"But that could wait or?"

"I asked one of my friends to check for me"

"She told me ,she would get it done in 5 minutes"

"But it's over an hour now and she is not replying "

"I am just worried "

"You are so considerate , she is fine ok"

"Just take some food , you know your body is weak "

"Eat something for some strength ok"

"Ok mother"

"Why are they not responding "

"Such incompetence "

"Or have they been discovered,I just hope no one knows about this" she thought feeling anxious

"You are so considerate to other people " her father said

"Unlike your sister ,who only knows how to cause trouble "

" sister is just …"

"You always speak up for her "

"And I am not saying it's a bad thing"

"But you've been nothing but nice, but her , ha "

"Dad ,she will change"

"She will ,she will change?"

"And when will that be ,I doubt she would ever…"

Anika entered the house to hear ,her fathers roar at the dining table ,as if he is talking about his worst enemy.

She sometimes wonder if she really is her father's biological daughter.

Something fishy was going on here ,and she would get to the bottom of it.

Amira was shocked to see her come home safe and unharmed,

That's when an alarm rung in her head, the street hooligans failed.

She was just praying, they do not expose her.

She knew she had to act fast.

"Anika ,you are back"

"Mom and Dad were worried about you"

said Amira

Before Anika could answer her pretentious sister ,

Her father started blaming her before asking her about anything,

"Where were you"

"Going around sleeping with men again right"

Anika searched her memory, she felt she had been asked this question before.

And she was right, this similar statement was made a few years ago ,when Amira told their parents Anika was going out with all the boys on campus ,this was during high school.

Since then ,when ever she was late ,her parents will label her as one who gives her body freely to other guys.

"Have you forgotten ,you are engaged "

"Dad , sister is not like that ,she might have had only drinks with them"

"Amira is there something you are not telling us"

Her mother asked

"Are you trying to keep this from us, we are your parents "

"And we will like you to tell us everything, your sister is bringing shame to the family "

"It's not that I don't want to tell you "

"But Pearl, told me she saw sister with 4 guys today "

"And ..and I thought, she might have just gone to have some drinks with them ,"

"They might be just friend " Amira said like a considerate sister who just spoke up for Anika

"To have a drink with them? Only to drink"

"Who would know if she did something inappropriate with those people "

"Dad they are all rumors, sister is not like that"

"Why are you always trying to speak up for her" said the angry father

"She is not worth it honey"

"Yes, she isn't "

Anika laughed out loud after hearing everything they said about her.

Judging her before , asking where she really was.

"Where I was is not important "

"But what was going on"

"Right Sister" she said directing her gaze to Amira

Amira was shaking inward but pretended to not know what she was talking about.

"Has she found out ,no she can't "

"She is a very stupid and dump person "

"How can she ever find out about this"

She thought

"Even dogs have their limits, when you hit it with a cane all the time "

"It would one day bite the hand used for hitting it"

Anika said and left the family of clown to have their dinner.

Aunty May came out in panic ,when she heard the master shouting

She signed in relief ,when she saw Anika unharmed anywhere.

Anika was beginning to warm up to Aunty May,

She felt at home ,when ever she was with her.

And this was something new to her,

"Aunty May ,I'm tired and sweaty "

"Yes ,yes let me get your bath ready"

"And I'm hungry too" she complained

Aunty May eyes became blurry with tears after that statement,

The last time Anika showed such attitude towards her ,was when she was very little.

She grew distant, while trying to get her family's affection.

Always blaming her for the little mistakes that she made, and blaming her when ever her parents blame her for something.

Aunty May had always seen her as a daughter ,and loved her no less .

She cared for her ,as a mother would a daughter.

"Aunty May ,are you ok"

Anika asked with concern

""I'm…I'm sorry, it's just that I had something in my eyes" she made an excuse to cover up her emotions.

Amira looked at her sister with surprise.

"What's wrong with Anika, she has changed totally after that incident"

She thought.

"She couldn't possibly change just like that"

"I would make sure ,she doesn't change totally"

"Or this is her new way of getting the affection of the family "

"I would have to see to that"

Amira decided with a sinister look in her eyes

"Aunty May let's go"

"Sure sure"

Anika turned around and looked at Amira ,

She had a smiled on her face , with the

"I know everything " look on her face. Amira shivered.

"She would be the dead of me" her father said with a fist on the table.

"Old man , your health" her mother said

"Dad ,mom is right ,I would go and talk to sister" Anika stood up after that and left.

"Ah ,I wish she was as sensitive as her sister " their mother said

Amira walked straight to Anika's room without knocking ,this had been the thing with Amira.

She thinks everything about Anika should go her way, and this has been the thing since high schools.

"Anika ,what was that for"

"Don't you want mom and dad to love and care for you"

"You are pushing them away with this thing you have started "

"O I'm pushing them away?"

"Of cause, and you need to stop this it's …"

"And who said I want them near ,you can keep them as close as you want"

She interrupted before Amira could finish her statement.

"And let me warn you, we are not that close "

"The next time you come into my room ,make sure you knock "

"And if my permission is not given, don't enter like you own this house"

"Now if you are done with your self righteous words , GET OUT"

Amira was shocked, this is not how things are suppose to be .

Anika should be begging her for her parents affection , wanting her help with her parents.

"Maybe it's because ,they went overboard the last time"

"Why are you still here, or you want my help like the way you used others help in harming innocent people " Anika said with a smirk.

Amira stumble backward , she only knew one word at that moment.

She knows.
