The church was filled with hundreds of people from different age backgrounds all dressed in different attiring.
The gospel music that was being played made the whole atmosphere lively.
Everyone was seated on their chair as they kept anticipating the arrival of the bride and the groom.
In a little while a white Toyota Camry that was well decorated with a tinted glass brought Ella.
Once the car arrived one of the securities approached them and informed them that Ethan haven't yet arrived so they had to wait inside the car for his arrival because only the bride can't enter inside the church without the groom.
Meanwhile Ethan was in the front of his mirror admiring the white suit he was putting on.
He couldn't believe that the day he has being waiting for all this while has finally arrived, finally Ella was going to be his legally married wife.
As these thoughts ran through his mind his mind he smiled to himself before putting on his golden wrist watch.
While he was putting on his shoes he heard a knock on the door and immediately he stood up and arranged his shoe after which he walked towards the door wondering who could be knocking because he wasn't expecting any visitor.
Once he opened the door he saw Mr Bernard standing in front of his door with a smirk on his face and beside him two of his guards.
Immediately Ethan saw him his eyes widened and his heart started beating.
As time kept moving on the facial expressions of the guests started changing, some started murmuring among themselves.
The sweet gospel was no longer sweet in their ears because as they say "expectation delayed makes the heart sick."
Ella's heart kept beating as she kept on calling Ethan's number but got no response.
She started sweating despite the fact that the AC in the car was switched on.
Sarah that was seating beside her kept on calming her down assuring her that Ethan will soon arrive but all her efforts to calm Ella down proved abortive.
Ella felt her heart sinking.
"Was Ethan going to stand her up? Had she made a terrible mistake in marrying him?." These were the thoughts that kept running through her mind.
After waiting for another forty five minutes that seemed like forty five years she decided to call off the whole thing despite Sarah's pleas.
Just as she was about to call the whole thing off, Ethan's car arrived.
"I'm so sorry," he said, his eyes filled with tears when he approached her.
"There was an emergency at work. I didn't want to worry you."
Ella felt her relief wash over her. She took Ethan's hand and smiled at him. "It's okay," she said. "I'm just glad you're here."
As they exchanged their vows and became husband and wife, Ella felt like she was on top of the world. She and Ethan were together at last, and nothing could come between them.
