A start of dealing with my past

While I was wailing uncontrollably I got a call from that demon but I was in no state to pick that call and so I ended up not receiving it. My mind was filled with numerous memories that left me with no choice other than crying. After some time I heard someone calling Miss Alena are you in there? I was shocked and didn't know how to react, my face was a huge mess and my hair was a complete mess. I was thinking of ways to escape this situation but was unable to. At last, I summoned my courage and I spoke wryly "I am inside you go first and will come out in 10 minutes". He replied, "make it fast and I am waiting outside". I hurriedly came out and took a handful of tissues to wipe my face, luckily I brought some touchups in my bag which I used on my face, combed my hair. I looked in the mirror for the last time and could see the redness in my eyes, but I had no choice but to move. I opened the main door and went outside and found him standing at the door while crossing arms. I didn't look directly in his eyes and spoke:" let's go". He just took my hand in his and we started walking, I don't know what came to me and I intertwined my hand with him tightly. I myself was shocked at my behavior but at that time I just wanted to be safe and I found his hands to be the safest. After entering the hall we went to Charles and he spoke" I am sorry Mr. Charles but I will have to call it a day as I am not feeling well, see you soon. Charles said " sure, take care".

After sitting in the car the first thing that greeted me was his question " do you know him? I was utterly shocked and taken aback with his question. But I regained my calm and said " who are you referring to? He said " Mr. Charles. I said " how would I know him, I have never been in the business world before? He saw me with the suspecting look but was then convinced with my expression. I took a long sigh and started watching out of the window. Soon we reached the hotel and went to our respective rooms. I reached my room and lay down on my bed with my face facing the ceiling and I started recalling the events that took place today. I was still in a daze about every event that took place, the person I loved the most betrayed me and his face never showed a hint of guiltiness that he has done everything unfair to me.

I just don't understand how can someone be so shameless and ruthless. I did everything just to make him happy, be with him, I was ready to leave everything behind just for him and he left me to meet my end, left me miserable, with my loneliness and never-ending pain. While thinking about my misery I went to a deep slumber. I woke up with a sudden call from that demon. I looked at the time and found I was late for the meeting. I rushed to the washroom and completed my morning activities and then got ready as quickly as possible. I wore a baby pink shoulder off the top with a pencil skirt along with pointed heels. I considered my look for a change and thought of giving my looks a thought so I started my day with a new agenda of fighting with everyone who makes me feel sad or upset. I reached downstairs where the demon was waiting for me, I hurriedly opened the door of the car and apologized to him for coming late. Well, he seemed furious who was going to eat me alive but he didn't say a single word, just spoke: " get in fast and hand me the brief about the meeting". I was surprised by his behavior but I let it slid this time and focussed on the documents that I was holding.

DAMON'S PROV

I was furious she was late on the first meeting and I wanted to throw her out of my sight but when I looked at her. I don't know what triggered me my anger converted into easiness. I saw her beautiful and pure face that emitted radiance and her dressing was something out of the box. I couldn't take my eyes off her and be mesmerized by her beauty.
