Mind Occupied

Just like Fyre had promised, he decided to stay at the Mo Estate as per Laura Mo's request. Since things got a little awkward earlier in addition to Elder Sullen's condition, things weren't as lively as usual so Fyre had nothing else to do but stay in his room. Of course, since it was still early, he sat on his balcony overlooking the well-lit garden and large pond from afar. Even though the breeze was cold, he didn't mind and continued to look at the empty horizon.

One reason he liked staying at the Mo Estate was even though he was uncomfortable at first, was because aside from being treated like a young master, his room had the best view. His room was also the only room that had a balcony on the whole floor. He didn't know why he was treated like this since the beginning but he won't deny that he liked it... Well, who wouldn't?

Sighing, Fyre leaned forward to the concrete railing with his hands supporting his head. His mind traveled back from earlier when he was surprised to see Maverick hugging his boyfriend. There was nothing wrong with it because Maverick was just very thankful to the Alpha but he couldn't forgive himself for feeling slightly bitter because of it. It was just a hug but at that moment, he was so jealous he wanted to yell and order the fellow Omega to let go... it was rather shameless of him... and it hasn't even been that long since he became Tian Zi's lover and he's already acting possessive as if he owned the Alpha.

"Arg! Why am I like this?" Fyre scolded himself, pulling on his hair. This is the first time that he was feeling this way in his entire life. How is he supposed to know if that was normal or not?! All his life he had only been in front of his computer, he did have a few crushes when he was in high school but that was too long ago! He already forgot how that felt and he was pretty sure he had never felt like this. Thankfully though, earlier, he was still calm enough to control his facial expression. It was difficult but he managed.

"Was I that jealous just because of a simple hug?" Fyre asked himself, still unable to believe it. He thought that after his talk to Maverick that day, after all the explanations. He thought that all his insecurities disappeared along with his fear. He thought that knowing that Tian Zi loved him was enough to make him feel assured... but he was wrong! So wrong and the earlier scene was the evidence. The image of Maverick and Tian Zi kissing so intimately flashed in his mind so vividly as if it was just yesterday. It was the scene that made him realize that he liked Tian Zi. It was also the same scene that broke his heart for the first time ever. Of course that time or this, none of it was Tian Zi or Maverick's fault. It was just him! It was him who was the problem.

"Fuck it!" Fyre cursed before finally deciding to go back inside his room and jumped on his bed facing down. He was planning to sleep his mind off and wake up tomorrow with a fresh mind but after long minutes of shutting his eyes closed, he abruptly jumped up again and groaned in frustration. Whenever he closed his eyes, the images that he didn't want to remember became even clearer. He tried to think of something else but he just couldn't and it's making him go insane. Trying to sleep was also impossible because his mind was very much awake and refused to sleep. At times like this, he was usually at his kitchen baking something or on his computer playing games.

"Damn it!" Fyre cursed again and decided to get off of his bed. Worrying that he'll go crazy with his own thoughts, he was planning to go to the kitchen and maybe make something to occupy his mind. He's pretty much very welcome in the house and he had used the kitchen a lot of times in the past years together with Laura Mo so he's very familiar already. Fyre was just about to step out of his room when he caught Tian Zi in front of his door, walking back and forth. Both of them were so surprised as their wide eyes locked.

"W-what are you doing there?!" Fyre was the first to ask, stuttering since he was suddenly facing the man who had been occupying his mind all this time. Thankfully, he wasn't faint-hearted, or else he would have screamed his lungs out and then kicked the Alpha on his balls.

"I-I... I was just lying around... How about you?" Tian Zi replied in silent panic before scratching the back of his head. It was obvious that he wasn't just 'lying around' and instead, it looked like he wanted to knock but was contemplating whether to do it or not but anyway, Fyre decided not to pry and bought the excuse.

"I couldn't fall asleep," Fyre simply replied. Now that the Alpha was here, he suddenly didn't feel like baking anymore. Instead, a simple walk and chat would do. Tian Zi had been in his mind, so maybe being with the Alpha would change that since he'd be beside him.

"Really? T-then, would you like to go to my room? We can play games or watch TV," Tian Zi offered. Although there was a TV in Fyre's room, there was no computer at all unlike Tian Zi's which has everything that he wanted. To be honest, he too had been thinking of the earlier scene, and even though there was nothing wrong with it, he couldn't help but want to explain to Fyre. He was aware that for a long time, Fyre thought the Maverick was his lover and he didn't want to be misunderstood. Additionally, it upset him that Fyre wasn't saying or feeling anything. Maverick is an Omega and although he was thankful that Fyre didn't seem to think ill of his relationship with Maverick, something inside him wanted his lover to show a little bit of hostility towards the subject.

"Hmmn, yeah... okay," Fyre replied. He had never been in Tian Zi's room even though he had been in the Estate many times. There was simply no reason for him to go there and he also had his own room. When they work on something relating to ZNetwork, they usually do it back at the Alpha's own residence, never at the Mo Estate so Fyre was a little curious although he had quite a bit of an idea of what Tian Zi's room looked like.

Since Tian Zi had minimalist tendencies, aside from computers and shelves for his toy car collections; a bed, pillows, and blanket would be enough for him. Fyre knew this because he had been in Tian Zi's other rooms. He didn't have a lot of things aside from the gym and computer room, the rest would be all the basics.

Grabbing Fyre's hand, Tian Zi led the way all the way to his room. There were no words exchanged between them but their fingers intertwined with each other was enough to convey their feelings.

"You can stay in my room if you want," Tian Zi offered again, squeezing his lover's hand against him. When Fyre heard the Alpha's offer, he was shocked a little before he glanced at him. They already reached Tian Zi's room and as they stepped inside, Fyre was right about his guess about the Alpha's room. It was exactly what he imagined it would be.

"Would that be okay? We're at your parent's house, you know. What if they found out about us?" Fyre asked. They're both already inside the room and the door shut close. They haven't talked about hiding their relationship specifically since it was only been yesterday since they have become official but he knew that Tian Zi hated it when his parents pushed them top each other so it was natural for him to think that they would be hiding their relationship, at least for the meantime.

"What about it? Wasn't this what they wanted? It'll be annoying but I wouldn't want to deny you." Tian Zi replied, speaking out his thoughts which quickly drew out a red tint on Fyre's cheeks. It was obvious that Tian Zi wasn't forcing himself or anything because he spoke those words as if it was natural. He really thought that Tian Zi would still be stubborn about being in a relationship with someone but he's surprisingly very mature. Both of them have zero experience when it came to dating; their plans weren't bad at all. As long as they're both happy and no longer suppressing their feelings and getting hurt, then all is fine.

"What about you? Would you not like it if everyone knew about us?" Suddenly hugging Fyre from the back, Tian Zi whispered, pressing his heated body against his lover. He sounded like pouting so despite his loudly pounding heartbeat, Fyre giggled brushing his fingers against the Alpha's silky hair. And without realizing it, their bodies swayed in a loving manner as if they're listening to a slow rhythm.

"I'd really like everyone to know," Fyre replied truthfully. Although he knew Maverick wouldn't actually steal Tian Zi from him, it's better to make sure. There was no one he knew who could potentially be with the Alpha but he could never know. He wanted to be able to hold his ground this time. He had no plan of backing down just like how Remi was with Jonathan.

"Then let's tell everyone tomorrow when we have the chance. Mom and Dad would definitely be happy," Tian Zi said happily, turning Fyre around so he could hold the Omega's cheeks against his palm. Fyre didn't say his reply and instead, he smiled nodding his head in agreement. Their eyes locked again; however, unlike the earlier surprised look, this one was filled with unrestrained emotions. Slowly their lips drew close and as if it was meant to be, the two of them began kissing.

Tian Zi instinctively wrapped his arms around Fyre while Fyre to the Alpha's neck. They both took a deep breath, their bodies slowly inched towards the bed until they both fell causing them to separate briefly before continuing again... for sure this time around without interruption.

Walking back and forth in front of Mo Tian Zi's room, Maverick contemplated whether to knock or not. He had been gathering his courage since earlier and it was only now that he managed to step out of his room and actually do it. He already knew what Tian Zi might actually reply to him and but he wanted to at least try.

Maverick chewed on his lips and finally decided to knock. 'I'm just going to tell him quickly and then leave,' Maverick thought to himself before he gently knocked on the door. Unfortunately, there was no response but he waited for a bit looking at his phone to look at the time which was not so late so the Alpha should still be awake by this time. Maverick was going to knock again but he was halted when he saw a group of nurses running past him and towards the direction where Elder Sullen was resting.

And without having second thoughts, Maverick followed them, missing out the chance when Tian Zi opened his door with a disheveled appearance. He looked around and was confused that there was no one outside.

"Who was it?" Fyre asked with a flushed expression, hiding his bare body with a blanket after Tian Zi closed the door again.

"I don't know. There was no one there," He replied, scratching his nape. They were so close to doing it but the knock on the door sent them into a panic.

"Pfff. Fuck! I thought your Mom was going to find out about us in this manner. That gave me a scare," Fyre chuckled. For a moment, he thought he would have to live with the embarrassment. Thankfully there was no one at the door and maybe they just imagined it.

"Me too... It'll be so annoying if she found out this way," Tian Zi agreed and joined in with a laugh.
