Soft and pleasing music resonated along with the sound of the water splashing against the sand, the people around consisting of mainly the loyal employees of the Mos estate and the main family including Mr. and Mrs. Lopez, everyone enjoyed their meals while they chatted. Today was Mo Tian Zi's 27th birthday and compared to his previous ones, this celebration was hosted by the celebrant himself. However, even though that was the case, as always, the celebrant was still missing. Fortunately, people were already used to it and didn't mind it that much.
"Have they gotten out of their room yet?" Laura Mo asked, seeing the young butler she ordered to go and check on Tian Zi and Fyre coming back.
"Not yet, Madam..." The young butler replied dejectedly. In his mind, he believed that the two—Tian Zi and Fyre—might have already escaped the celebration. The youngest master was never fond of gatherings and even though it was him who invited everyone this time, that doesn't mean that he was going to attend it. Of course, the birthday celebrant might have just dragged Fyre Long along with him as usual.
"Okay fine, thank you. Go can go ahead and continue with your lunch now," Laura dismissed with a sigh. Everyone in their villa already knew what had happened earlier this morning. They were all worried, especially Laura and Mo Chendong who witnessed how Fyre cried earlier and their son running after him.
"I hope they're talking things out nicely," Daniel conveyed, looking at his husband who didn't really care about the two. For him, if Tian Zi couldn't make his relationship work with his lover when they had just engaged days ago, then maybe they should reconsider this marriage. Marriage is a lifetime commitment and the young Alpha can't just simply decide to marry and later on decide again to divorce. He had to take responsibility for all his actions since he's no longer 15.
"Come on, brother-in-law, they're fine. If I guessed correctly they've probably just overslept after making love," Hanlu blurted with leisure that everyone on their table including the kids looked at him with mixed emotions.
"Oh my God, Luu~" Ian reacted, shaking his head left and right while massaging his temples. While the Alpha could be right, he didn't really have to voice it out. Thankfully, he chose a better word to say with the kids around but it was still not good to suddenly say it. After all, that was Tian Zi and Fyre's private life. If it was him, he wouldn't want to let others know he was having sex with Hanlu all the time.
"What? I'm just guessing. But what other reasons for them to miss the celebration? They fought and made up and probably, you know," Hanlu explained, defending himself. They're all adults and open-minded here and besides, the kids wouldn't understand anyway so he didn't see it as a problem. Of course, what Hanlu said was true and it was also what they were thinking but the Alpha was the only one who managed to say it out loud.
"Okay, enough with that, Xiao Luu. I'll be glad if what you said was true but if they end up breaking up because of this, you're coming with me to pray at the temple for your brother," Laura mentioned that Hanlu immediately opposed.
"What!? No way! I have a pregnant wife to take care of! I can't go anywhere!" Hanlu whined childishly while putting his palms over Ian's bulging stomach. Hanlu has already been under constant stress because his wife just wouldn't rest from his work and was stubborn enough to do unnecessary things so he can't be away from Ian at this moment or he might just see in the flash news about his wife chasing a criminal with a protruding belly. That's why he needed his full attention directed to him, also the reason why he's been working from home since day one.
"Luu, you're exaggerating. I'm fine with Lan alone. He'll take good care of me," Ian interrupted with a frown. Lan was supposed to be staying in a school dorm so he didn't have to spend time traveling back and forth every day but since the announcement of Ian's pregnancy, the child didn't mind traveling as long as he could see his mother every day and take care of him. After all, this was the sibling he was waiting for so long.
"Baby, that's so mean~ I don't want to go," Hanlu whined again.
"Well, if they didn't break up, you don't have to worry," Ian replied, rolling his eyes while the rest laughed and agreed, seemingly teaming up against Hanlu. Hanlu was about to retaliate when they suddenly heard the crowd becoming quiet. He immediately looked around at what was happening as the rest did the same. When they all saw Tian Zi and Fyre entering the vicinity holding each other's hand, Hanlu was the most excited one because unlike what they heard, the two seemed to have already made up that they were showing such a loving atmosphere.
"Ah! See~ didn't I tell ya..." Hanlu expressed, happily. Tian Zi is after all still a Mo, and a Mo is a sucker for the person they truly love. He was certain because he had been following the couple's relationship for years, he had been frustrated a lot of times because of their slow progress in the past years. Although it was quite a shock to him at first that the two were suddenly engaged without even dating for too long, he was also the most relieved. Knowing Tian Zi, there was no way he was going to break up with Fyre that easily. Fyre is the very first person his little brother had shown this much interest to and while Hanlu understood why their mother was worried about it not happening again to someone else if they break up, he trusts that Tian Zi was way firmer than what they believed he was.
Fyre is his first love! There's no way he would just let him go that easily. It's in their bloodline not to do so. It's been proven and tested just from him and Laotian alone. They're the type to never let go of someone they've already shown their interests in.
"Fyre, Darling, are you okay now? Did Xiao Zi hurt you or anything?" Laura was the first to ask, holding Fyre's arm when the couple approached their table. Meanwhile, as soon as Fyre heard the question, he blushed a little and shook his head.
"Thank you so much for your concern but Zi didn't hurt me at all, we just had a little bit of misunderstanding," Fyre explained.
"Mother, what do you see me for? You think I'm someone who would hurt my fiance?" Tian Zi defended, a little bit upset by his mother's question towards his lover.
"Of course not! Your father and I didn't raise you as such but we could never know. If you did hurt Fyre, we would have disowned you!" Laura scolded while making sure her voice wouldn't be too loud before she faced Fyre and smiled.
"I'm glad you're okay now, Darling. We won't ask what had happened between you two so come and join us for lunch. You two were late so we had to start the celebration as arranged," Laura added and this time ignored Tian Zi, urging Fyre to take the seat between her and Daniel, which Fyre didn't mind taking even though he'd have to separate from Tian Zi. However, the blush on his cheeks didn't seem to fade, being reminded of the reason why they were late.
Meanwhile, needless to say, Tian Zi was displeased that he quickly grabbed Fyre's hand with a pout, preventing the Omega from taking the seat offered because he obviously wanted to sit next to each other. But then again because they were late, there was no available seat that was next to each other. Still, he didn't regret the reason they were late.
"Tian Zi?" Fyre called in confusion, he even had his eyebrow raised seeing that the Alpha was not letting him go.
"Come with me first," Tian Zi just voiced out before he once again pulled Fyre and this time led him to the mini podium facing everyone. Fyre didn't know what the Alpha was going to do there but clearly, he was going to say something in front of everyone.
And he was not wrong. As soon as they reached the podium, Fyre nervously stood beside Tian Zi especially when they didn't need to do anything to catch everyone's attention because everyone was already looking at them curiously.
"Good afternoon, everyone," Tian Zi started after clearing his throat. This was the first time he was stepping onto the stage so everyone was quite surprised he was holding the microphone since everyone knew the Youngest Master hated gatherings.
"Everyone believed that today's celebration was because of the day I was born. Well… you're not wrong but you're not entirely right either…" Tian Zi said and everyone including Fyre became confused especially when the Alpha suddenly faced him and suddenly stretched his hand to offer to him. Fyre was shocked but he subconsciously received the hand, nervously biting his lips.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine," Tian Zi whispered, pulling him close to his body.
"All of you are the closest to me. You took good care of me even though I was a troublemaker. So I thank you all for indulging my childishness and selfishness all this time. I know I was a lot but I am truly grateful. You are the people that I trusted the most, you are like family to me, that's why I wanted all of you to be the first ones to know…" Tian Zi announced with a smile before his hold against Fyre tightened. At this point, Fyre already figured out what the Alpha was doing and he immediately blushed not knowing what to do since he was not aware that this was going to happen.
"That I am now engaged to the most beautiful Omega I have ever known… We fought and argued a lot, all of you witnessed our constant bicker all throughout the years and I know some of you thought and believed this would be our end game. I didn't believe it myself…" Tian Zi said as he was looking directly at his lover's flushed face before he chuckled at his last sentence, holding his hand and kissing the back of it.
"But now, I am proud to say that I have fallen in love with Fyre Long… my love, my bonded mate, and soon-to-be my lifelong partner," He ended, smiling towards Fyre this time. Meanwhile, as soon as everyone heard the announcement, the crowd quickly applauded, some even cheered because just like what Tian Zi had said, a lot of them truly believed they would end up together in the end. It was the most obvious except to the two people involved.
"We're here to support you, Young Master!" One of the people shouted while the others agreed as they cheered.
"Thank you so much for all your support. I will continue to rely on you from here on," Tian Zi said again and finally came down to the podium. Of course, the congratulatory continued and thankfully, as soon as they reached their table, two seats were now available next to each other.
The celebration continued from then on without any problem. The days spent on this one-week vacation were filled with fun and adventure that they all felt a little regretful when it was finally time to go back.
