Devising the Plan

"What do you mean Fyre's in danger?" Laura asked in worry as she felt like fainting. She didn't know why but she wondered why whenever there was someone who was about to marry into their family or a new member was about to be born, they'd always have to undergo something dangerous. It happened to Daniel and Ian and now to Fyre. She thought her youngest son's marriage would go on smoothly after the announcement but now this was happening. It's becoming more frustrating. When can they hold a wedding without any danger?

"Yeah, Mom. Apparently, someone couldn't accept that Fyre chose your handsome son to be his husband so they took him away. Now, we're going to take him back before that handsome son of yours becomes crazy," Hanlu explained as he prepared to leave for the Mo headquarters and do more preparations for the rescue mission. Honestly, if not because they had to let the two know personally, he would have gone there with his wife.

"What?" Laura frowned. Even though Hanlu's explanation was quite summarized and easy to understand, she was still confused simply because this all just suddenly happened. She and her husband tried so hard not to get themselves involved in their son's relationship this time but in the end, she didn't like that they were always clueless about the things that had been happening.

"What are you talking about? Where is Xiao Zi? I need him to explain this to me," Laura insisted but Hanlu just shook his head. He's aware that his old mother is worried but it's better for her to know less because she's no longer strong and healthy enough to hear such frustrating news. It will only make her worry more and worse, this could cause her health to depreciate which will not be favorable so it's better to not tell her everything that is happening directly. It's what all of them decided since they are worried for her.

"Xiao Zi's already at the headquarters, we'll be back late so don't wait for us. Don't worry about Daniel and Ian so have dinner with the kids first. We'll explain when we get back," Hanlu said in assurance, making Laura even more worried that she quickly looked at Chendong for support. However, understanding the situation better than anyone, Chendong helplessly sighed and slowly approached his wife before putting his hands over her shoulders and caressing them softly.

"Honey, let us continue to trust our sons. I'm sure they'll tell us everything when they're ready. For now, let us listen and wait for that time, I'm sure they have their own reason," Chendong calmly said. When he was still active in running the family's secret organization, there were also a lot of things that he couldn't tell his wife and children back then especially when things were dangerous so he understood his son's dilemma. Furthermore, if his wife were to hear the reasons why their children are acting this way, it might not be good for her health so he had no choice but to side with Hanlu this time.

"But Honey, they've been keeping us in the dark for a while now. I don't believe this just happened now. Ever since we decided to stay out of our children's business, it has been becoming difficult to know things about them. Has this not been bothering you at all!?" Laura complained, frowning at her husband. It rarely happens because she and her husband get along very well so her frowning at Chendong means that she was really upset at the situation. Now she could understand why Gabriel became very upset when he couldn't know a single thing about the problem his family was facing because everyone was purposely keeping him in the dark

It truly is frustrating. You know there is something wrong but people just purposely keep things from you. She is not used to this kind of treatment and she now regrets ever deciding to let Tian Zi handle his life years ago.

"But Xiao Luu, I will make you take responsibility if anything were to happen to any of you. You won't like it if you were to make me angry, my dear son," Chendong added as he faced Hanlu with a serious expression. At least this way, his wife wouldn't be too upset. Seeing this, Hanlu was taken aback since when this happens, it usually means that his father won't ever let him go if he breaks the said promise. After all, among all of them, their father was the most merciless. Even towards his son, Hanlu could already imagine the painful and troublesome things his father would make him do while calling it his punishment.

"What?! Why me? Shouldn't it be Xiao Zi?" Hanlu complained. He was just here to deliver the message and check on the kids, why does he have to take responsibility? Although he was going to make sure that both Tian Zi and Laotian wouldn't get hurt, he does not hold the future and things could go wrong. Why does he have to take responsibility for it though? Can't they all take responsibility?

"Tch. Fine. But you have to scold Xiao Zi too," Hanlu insisted at the end to which Chendong responded with a slight nod.

"Good. Anyway, we'll leave our children in your care for now."

"How about Daniel and Ian? Do they already know?"

"Yes, they'll stay with us at the headquarters but if you're worried, you can visit the headquarters tomorrow with the kids after they go back from school. I'm sure Ian and Daniel would like that."

"Hmmm, okay if that's the case. You can count on us for that. We'll take care of them for now. We'll also visit tomorrow so return as soon as you can," Chendong replied and later squeezed his wife's arm softly, an indication that she should talk too and ease their son. On the other hand, Laura didn't want to say anything at first, especially since she was still upset about not being told about the situation clearly but she later gave up and nodded in defeat.

"Fine. Just please be safe. I will not forgive all of you if anyone gets hurt, especially Fyre. Go save him if that is what needs to be done. After that I will tell you my demand for having me go through all of this," Laura said with a pout. She was not that difficult to talk to and now that she has calmed down a bit, she realized that there was probably no time to spare for an argument anyway. Fyre's safety is what's important at this point on. Besides, when they go back, she can simply demand that all of them should live at the main Estate just until both Daniel and Ian recover from giving birth.

"Thanks, Mom, and Dad. Then, I'll go ahead to HQ with the others now."

"Did you find him?" Ian asked, seeing Tian Zi walking out of the library. They were all waiting for the result of Tian Zi's search so they're now gathered in the drawing room. It had been two hours since they all came to the Mo's secret headquarters together with Laotian and Daniel and ever since then, Tian Zi was doing his best to find Fyre's location. He had not come out of the room until now.

"I did, I've also gathered all the necessary information that we all will be needing to make this mission successful," Tian Zi replied with a serious expression. He hated that it took him hours to gather all the necessary information that he needed but at the same time he was thankful that it only took him two hours to do so. This is because the longer the time goes, the more dangerous it will be for Fyre. As much as possible he wanted to go there to save his beloved as soon as he pinpointed his location but he also knew that he'd only be sending himself and the rest of the team to death if he did that. He needed to make a lot of preparations to do so.

"That's great!" Ian exclaimed in relief. Now, they'll only have to create the strategy in order to efficiently rescue Fyre. Unfortunately, as much as they wanted to go and save Fyre immediately, Tian Zi was right, they can't just do it like that since their lives are at stake.

Handing the files to Laotian, the Alpha briefly reads them. He nodded in approval when he finished skimming through the information before he called for someone and handed the papers to them to make the next preparation which was drawing the blueprint that Tian Zi already dug up and also consulting with their team strategist. After all that is finished, he will then call upon everyone who will participate in this mission for a meeting. These are just one of the necessary steps before going on a mission and returning with a victory.

"You've done a great job. Go ahead and rest for a bit, for now. I'll have someone call you when things are ready," Laotian ordered, seeing that his younger brother was pushing himself too much. If this continues, it'll be dangerous for him especially since they'll be going to have an encounter with the enemies. If he's not in his best condition later, he might make a mistake and be hurt, worse he could die before they save Fyre.

"I'm fine," Tian Zi replied firmly. How can he rest right now when his lover is currently in the hands of a person who wanted to devour him? He simply can't do it. Even if he tried, he wouldn't be able to.

"Xiao Zi, I know you are worried but in order to do this with you coming back alive and unhurt, you have to be in your best condition," Laotian said, using his dominant voice making the younger Alpha purse his lips together because he knew his brother was right.

"If you want to take back Fyre without delay and a single mistake, then you have to rest for now. Hanlu and I will handle the situation from here on. I promise you will be with your mate after the mission," Laotian said again, assuring Tian Zi. Meanwhile, listening to his older brother, Tian Zi continued to stay silent. He didn't want to admit it but Laotian was right. Even if he pushed himself, there was nothing he could do at the moment. He already did what he could and now it's his brothers' turn.

In the end, Tian Zi dropped his guard in exhaustion as he nodded. Ever since Maverick was kidnapped, he and Fyre hadn't had the chance to rest properly because they were looking for clues to find the Omega. They were honestly able to rest for a couple of hours before they went to Sunrise Ent. to have the press conference. And then this happened!

Tian Zi was reaching his limit and Laotian knew this just based on how exhausted he looked.

"Fine. I will go ahead and rest for a bit," Tian Zi said in defeat. Laotian nodded in approval as he, Daniel, and Ian watched the young Alpha retreat for now.

"Poor Tian Zi, I hope Fyre is fine," Daniel commented before he pressed his face against his husband's armpit. Laotian wrapped his hand around his wife and hummed in agreement. It may not look like it but he does worry for Tian Zi, that was why he asked him to rest just now since he simply can't let him go later if his body's already reaching its limit.

"I've arrived. Did Xiao Zi find Fyre's location?" Hanlu's voice suddenly reverberated in the room before the door blasted open. Like always, his entrance was always the loudest so when everyone heard his voice, Daniel pulled away from Laotian while Ian stood up to greet his husband.

"Yeah, he did. The strategy was still being constructed so your brother asked Tian Zi to rest for a bit... Anyway, how's Lan? Was he upset when he found out I wasn't home?" Ian informed and later asked while hugging Hanlu.

"That's good... And don't worry about your son, I already explained things to him, and he is more than happy to take care of his cousins until we return," Hanlu assured, making Ian smile.

"Oh, but Mom was really angry. She might ask us something ridiculous after all of this is finished," Hanlu mentioned as he sighed.

"It's fine. I know what she wants the most. It won't be too troublesome to give in to her wishes sometimes." Laotian replied, knowing that their mother would probably just ask them to live in the Mo Estate. She's been at it ever since both Daniel and Ian had gotten pregnant.
