(7) Princess

"What's wrong, Baby?" Noticing Remi's sudden silence, Jonathan held his girlfriend's shoulder and asked in concern. Hearing her boyfriend's question, Remi looked at him, she contemplated whether to ask him or not but in the end, she gave up and sighed.

"It's Vicky. We couldn't find her and... I think Mo Hanlu and Mo Laotian have her. I'm worried because she's pregnant," Remi said, sounding depressed. Veronica wasn't the nicest but Remi still valued the times she spent with her. She still valued the times when they call each other best friends.

Meanwhile, Jonathan hearing his girlfriend sighed and hugged her. Of course, he too thought that the vile woman might be at the Mo secret organization headquarters and being locked down in a room because that's just how the Mos work. Mo Laotian and Mo Hanlu are in no way merciful so with what Veronica Chime had done, he doubted she'd ever leave unscratched.

"We don't know for sure. Do you want to ask Zi about it? I'm sure he knows," Jonathan cooed and later suggested.

"But I'm afraid to ask him," Remi said. Even now she still didn't know how to address Mo Tian Zi. Whether she could call him his name, his nickname like Jonathan does, or she should call the young Alpha boss or sir since she was supposed to be his soon-to-be secretary. She really didn't know. Additionally, they weren't close enough for her to be comfortable calling the young Alpha in the first place.

"Then I'll ask him for you," Jonathan suggested again. He could totally understand why Remi was feeling intimidated towards Tian Zi since he had always been like that. That friend of his always had a very unapproachable gloomy air around that would quickly tell everyone not to talk to him despite his attractive features.

"Really? I'm sorry I had to ask you to do this for me," Remi exclaimed happily, which made Jonathan smile dotingly.

"Yeah, but you have to kiss me for the fee. It should be more than 5 seconds long," Jonathan demanded shamelessly and wrapped his arms around the blushing Remi. Sometimes she really thought that Jonathan might have been really just playing with him because of the way he's acting but despite knowing this, she couldn't help but fall for him. She's inexperienced when it comes to love so her heart is very vulnerable towards the Alpha's advances.

"W-we've kissed so many times yesterday," Remi complained but her blush only turned darker and darker due to her embarrassment. At her age, she couldn't believe she's experiencing this right now for the first time in her life.

"Yesterday was different. Today we haven't kissed yet, ever since your younger brother arrived to be exact," Jonathan mentioned while slowly getting near Remi until they were kissing. The kiss took Remi's breath away, she could feel her legs turning soft, her mind feeling light and it was not until they pulled away from each other that she regained her senses and slightly pushed her boyfriend.

"Y-You got your payment, g-go ask you boss about Veronica now and I'll be just cleaning in the kitchen," Remi stuttered stepping backward. She didn't wait for Jonathan to reply and quickly dashed away as soon as she finished her words. Meanwhile, seeing her retreating back, Jonathan couldn't help but chuckle at how cute his girlfriend was. He still couldn't quite grasp the fact that he found her in the middle of a complicated situation on his side.

"I hope you won't hate me one day," Still looking at the spot where Remi disappeared, Jonathan sighed in defeat before he whispered to the air.

"Can you read the book like that?" Tian Zi was in his study room but instead of studying, he was laying on the couch comfortably with a book on his face when suddenly Jonathan barged into the room and asked.

"Obviously I wasn't reading," Tian Zi replied, not moving.

"Well of course you aren't. Since when did you fancy reading," Jonathan said walking toward where the liquor was kept. He chose from the variety of drinks and finally decided to pick the wine since it's the one with the least alcohol and tastes good.

"What do you want?" Tian Zi asked, still not moving and instead of coming up with a comeback.

"What makes you think I want something?" Jonathan asked with a chuckle.

"You left your girlfriend to be here. I think that's enough reason," Tian Zi replied monotonically. "I'm exhausted so hurry up and say it," Tian Zi added again and this time he finally moved to pick the book that was on his face to look at Jonathan who was now sipping on his glass of wine.

"You're sharp as always. Just so you know your earlier victory doesn't count, I was distracted,"

"What a sore loser, you lost because you let yourself be distracted but I'm sure that's not what you want to talk about," Tian Zi replied, finally sitting up this time. "Is this about your family? I see a lot of your people loitering around the city recently. They even came to me 3 days ago looking for you," Tian Zi said, leaning his back against the couch and looked at Jonathan as if evaluating him.

He didn't really care what Jonathan does in his life especially his love life but this friend of his really has a talent for finding trouble in the most inconvenient time like for example now. The reason why he ran away from home was because he was being forced to take over the family by quickly marrying another noble lady that he hasn't met before. For Jonathan's birth status, it was inevitable for him to run away from his destiny. He may have escaped now but that's just temporary and now he found himself a Beta girlfriend. How is that going to solve his problem when he's falling in love with the wrong person!?

"Keep them occupied for the time being. I'll come back when the time comes," Jonathan said, sighing. Of course, he can't hide from his family forever. Just, right now, he wanted space and time to be able to think things through.

"And what about Remi Long?" Tian Zi asked, raising his left brow. There was no problem if the Woods would know of Jonathan's relationship because they knew Jonathan would end up following the family tradition anyway but that is different if Jonathan was serious with Remi Long. Things could go worse.

"I plan to tell her soon but if something happens, I am asking you to protect her in my stead," Jonathan said, making Tian Zi roll his eyes.

"Are you sure about her? She's nothing special though," Tian Zi said leisurely instantly, making Jonathan frown in displeasure.

"I'll ignore what you just said because you're my friend but the next time you say it you'll regret it Zi," Jonathan said, his words filled with warning. It may look like he's playing but he truly cared for Remi and he will not forgive anyone who will talk ill of her.

Looking at Jonathan for a bit, Tian Zi was silent, and not until his cell phone suddenly started beeping that he shifted his sight away from his friend. Tian Zi checked his phone and the moment he looked at it, he instantly stood up in shock. He was looking at his cell phone screen with wide eyes.

'It was not even an hour and that Omega had already solved that system!?' Tian Zi thought and quickly started walking. Jonathan followed his friend's moving figure and frowned.

"What happened?" he asked but he did not receive a reply so he just followed his friend until they reached the room where they just went earlier, Tian Zi's computer room. Tian Zi twisted the doorknob open and to their shock, Fyre was proudly standing on top of a pile of books with a smirking face. He crossed his arms, his chest puffing out with pride as he looked down at the two Alphas looking at him at this moment with both their mouths open.

Meanwhile, Tian Zi looked at Fyre flabbergasted, he was surprised how this Omega solved his system in less than an hour when he thought he wouldn't even solve it. It was a difficult formulation that he came up with and no one had ever solved it before except that one person. Even that person took more than a week to solve his system after persistently running trial and errors non-stop until he got the pattern correctly.

"Pffff Bwahahaha, i-is that to make you look taller!!? hahaha," Tian Zi was still racking his brain how on Earth a nobody Omega solved his complex system when Jonathan suddenly burst in laughter looking at Fyre who was still standing on a pile of books in order to make him taller than the two. He really didn't like being looked down upon by Mo Tian Zi but he did not climb up onto the pile of books to look stupid and be laughed at by a noble moron.

"Shut up you damn royalty!" Fyre roared but still didn't come down from his heights.

"Pffff Bwahahaha, this is so funny! You're really funny, Fyre," Jonathan continued to laugh making Fyre even furious.

"No one wants your opinion here," Fyre roared again in annoyance. Jonathan was going to tease him again but Tian Zi raised his hand indicating him to shut up for a bit before Tian Zi walked a little deeper in the room until he was next to Fyre and looking up at him.

"W-What?" Feeling alarmed at his nearing enemy, Fyre asked in a slight panic.

"You're him," Tian Zi said. The one he was talking about was that mysterious person he was playing with online after Daniella Sullen's scandal years ago. That person he was calling Princess all this time because he wouldn't stop calling him Prince. Tian Zi highly doubted that a person would solve his complex system in less than an hour unless they've already solved it before.

"You're Princess," Tian Zi said again and on cue, the moment Fyre heard the nickname he suddenly got caught off guard and lost his balance, and the next thing he knew he was on Tian Zi's arms being carried like a Princess.
