My heart was pounding erratically in my ears. Catalina's words were like a bucket of Ice. This couldn't be true. Whatever she's saying is not true. I tried to calm myself.
"How can you know that? Do you know my parents?"
"Your father was part of my coven years ago. That was of course before he met your mother and then left."
"You're lying. They would have told me."
"I don't know why they didn't. But I do understand why you might seem human. Since you have parents of different kinds, your body couldn't choose a side, so it stuck to being human. Or, maybe you're a dormant witch, or angel." My head was spinning. Good thing I was seated, if not, I might have just collapsed.
