"I can't wait to find her"

So she has another guardian? Interesting," Melanie mumbled, speaking with the old man from the other day.

"Friends should always have each other's back no matter what," the old man said, staring intently at her. She sighed in guilt.

"You know that? So why did you make me freeze those girls, knowing she'd be blamed, and why did you make me get her embarrassed on our first day in class?" Melanie asked, scrutinizing him.

"Melanie, with time you'll understand why you were chosen and why you're doing this. Enjoy your day," he mumbled and teleported.

"What I hate about him, he never explains anything in detail," she mumbled and walked out of the washroom, bumping into Layla in the process.

"Watch where you're going, bitch," Layla spat rudely and pushed her out of the way.

"She's still rude," she mumbled and walked away too.

Hazel sighed for the umpteenth time with Blake and Charlene on her mind.

"I hope they're fine," she mumbled, lost in thought as she made her way to class. She wasn't watching where she was going and bumped into a body as hard as rock.

"Ouch, I'm sorry," she apologized, looking up slowly. A gasp escaped her lips when she saw the person she bumped into.

"Aiden... how's your life?" she stuttered nervously with an awkward chuckle.

"You're weird," he scoffed and walked away.

"That was close," Hazel mumbled, holding her chest.

"We're doing the meditation today again, until you've gotten used to it, and let go of what you're holding onto," Blake said, his back facing Charlene.

"Cool," she mumbled as if she was okay with it, but deep down she wasn't. Instead, she was scared.

"Before we go ahead, you need to know this. Stop letting your emotions get the better part of you. If you decide to cry today again, I'll walk out on you," he said emotionlessly. She mumbled a yes before sitting on a mat, with her eyes closed, and just like the previous day, she began shaking with so much vigor.

"Calm down, Lene. Let it go. They don't deserve the stress. Just forgive and forget about it," Blake half-yelled, and bit by bit, she began calming down until she was totally calm. Slowly she opened her eyes and smiled.

"You're making progress," Blake said with a light smile.

"OMG!! You just smiled!" Charlene exclaimed.

"I know," he mumbled with a straight face.

"Tch, cocky. I was going to say your smile is cute," Charlene scoffed.

"That reminds me, why did you call me Lene?" she asked again, and he shrugged.

"Charlene is too long... and why am I even explaining myself to you?" he rolled his eyes.

"Your choice," she muttered.

"Let's try the meditation again," he said, and she closed her eyes. Something shocking happened.

"Now what are they doing? What if he falls in love with her? This is the second day already," Layla mumbled, pacing anxiously around her room.

"Chill, will you? I don't think he's going to. Besides, his heart is as cold as ice and hard as a stone," Ava replied, trying to pacify her.

"Just shut up, will you? Stop lying to me. Wasn't it you and I that saw them at the garden the other day?" she snapped.

"Fine, what are we going to do? I can't sit here and watch you sad all day," Ava replied, showing genuine concern.

"Stop acting as if you care. The only thing you can do for me right now is to leave me alone," Layla snapped and walked out of the room angrily.

"I care, I really do," Ava mumbled sadly and rested her head on a pillow. Slowly her mind drifted to her roommate, and she sighed.

"She's too weird. How is she always talking to herself? It seems like she's really hiding something," she thought.

"Bright light was emanating from Charlene's body, so bright was the light that it was blinding. Blake gasped in astonishment as her skin began glowing like the sun. Inevitably, the entire hall became extremely bright.

"I don't know what's going on, but whatever it is, this is beautiful," Blake thought.

Charlene felt a new wave of emotion surge through her. She felt nothing but peace and relief, a feeling she hasn't really felt since her gifts started manifesting. Though she was oblivious to what was going on around her, she just felt peaceful even down to her veins. If this is what forgiveness feels like, then she regrets not letting go earlier.

Slowly she opened her eyes with a beautiful smile lingering on her lips as she stared innocently at Blake.

"That was awesome," he blurted out, almost regretting it.

"Thank you," she mumbled, trying to hide the blush that crept slowly to her cheeks.

"That's all for today, I guess. See you tomorrow and please don't wake up on time," he said and teleported back to his room.

"He's harsh. I wish I could appear in my room too," she pouted childishly, stomping her feet on the ground, and surprisingly she appeared in her room.

"Woah!" she exclaimed.

"How did I even do that... it's part of my powers," she giggled excitedly, jumping on her bed.

Suddenly, she found herself back in the meditation hall.

"No, no," she pouted childishly, stomping her feet on the ground, expecting to find herself in her room just like earlier, but nothing happened, so she had to walk to her room.

"Why must I act like an idiot in front of him?" Hazel mumbled, reminiscing what happened when she bumped into Aiden.

"Poor girl, what are you thinking about?" Blake grinned, sitting beside her.

"Mr. Grumpy, when did you get here?" she asked, staring at him.

"Last night," he scoffed.

"Stop being like this," she pouted, making him chuckle.

"Yeah, whatever. It's been a while since we saw each other, and I knew I'd find you here so I came," he replied cockily.

"Like I asked you to," she rolled her eyes.

"Hazey, what's wrong?" he asked, noticing her unusual mood.

"So I had to hear from my roomie that you're her private tutor. Am I really your sweetheart?" she asked, not sparing him a glance.

"Oh, that," he mumbled with an awkward chuckle.

"You really weren't going to tell me?" she asked, slightly twitching her brows.

"I didn't see the need to. She's your roomie after all," he replied plainly.

"Oh yeah? What's up with you? First, you began distancing yourself from me, and now you're acting as if I'm not important," she pouted, and he sighed, ruffling his hair in frustration.

"Why do you have to be a pest?" he muttered, looking everywhere else but at her.

"Now you're avoiding my eyes," she muttered and burst into tears. At first, he thought she was just being dramatic, until his chest began hurting him.

"I'm sorry, Hazey, please stop crying," he mumbled and sighed before engulfing her in a warm hug.

"Honestly, I can't wait to find her, so I don't have to deal with you all the time," he mumbled.

"Until then, you're stuck with me," she muttered.
