328: I Didn't Mean what I said.
Daniella was following Davids into the house and she was happy when she found her talking to her father and some visitors. She looked happy but when she turned her head and saw Daniella, her happiness dissipated like dew on a sunny morning. She cursed and walked back to see Mum Vicky who was with Nimo talking.
"Your career is important. Focus on it. Even if you want to be a professional football player or basketball player, do that sweetheart you have nothing to worry about, everything is well catered for baby?"
Nimo nodded listening to her grandmother speak. She was the only person Nimo told her little secret. She feared telling her mother something but her grandmother is always there to make sure that she does everything right. She would keep her secret and they would share it.
Dee sat next to them after hugging mum Vicky and saying hi to Nimo who jumped and walked out leaving them to talk.
"So, how is school?"
Daniella said it was okay but didn't mention apart where she kissed a man and felt one thousand and one emotions. She looked at mum Vicky and wondered whether she will be mad at her for what she did. Though she won't shout at her for cheating on Davids, she will just be her to be considerate. She wanted the whole thing to remain between Davids and her.
They spoke about a lot of things and Vicky told her that her father won't be joining them because he is still adapting to the new country.
"Wait, he chose Kenya? Wow, I didn't imagine him choosing Kenya. He once said if he decided to choose a place to hide, it would be Antarctica. He lived to see the various animals there and would everyday talk about them."
"He decide to settle for Kenya because he wants to begin a new project over there and maybe engage with the United Nations to fight against human trafficking from other parts of the world. Plus he got a job together with his boyfriend and they are planning to change their names."
Daniella was happy that her father was finally finding peace where he was. She was the only one remaining here with one thousand and one questions in her mind. She didn't know what to do next. To denounce that maybe she wasn't fit for girls and walk back to boys. She then remembered how Vin made her feel and she hated everything about men again. Though it bothered her very much, it bothered her that she can't just tell Davids how she feels. She didn't feel that satisfied she felt like she was doing everything wrong but at the same time, she had a desire for a man. Mum Vicky left her side and walked up to the other guest around. She wanted to say hello to everyone available.
Clara was busy sipping her drinks. Her parents were supposed to show up for the dinner and she was excited. Amelia, her daughter was busy with Mr. Marcus who didn't want to leave her side. He was bubbly and jovial with Marcus.
Claire spotted Daniella and run to her.
"What are you doing here, we haven't had this for seven years, stop being so moody and cheer up."
dee looked at Claire and chuckled, she wanted to wake and celebrate the night away, be excited just like everyone else. She couldn't, she had done something terrible and she deserved to pay for it.
"I kissed and a man and Davids found out."
She blurted and Clara widened her eyes at her. She was surprised by what Daniella was saying.
"What did you do again? "
Danielle couldn't repeat what she said, she kept quiet so that Claire can Claira digest everything became she was sure she heard what she told her. Clara sat next to her and held her hands gently. He looked into her eyes and she wanted wasn't sure what her friend wanted.
"What did she say? Was she mad or happy or she was moody?"
"She punched the guy."
Clark knew this was not going the right way. She stood up and started pacing up and down. She tried to understand that maybe Daniella was still confused about men and women. She was not born a natural luke Davids. On the other hand, she was also worried for Davids, she looked lively but Deep down, she was mad at Dee for what she did.
"Can you please sit down? you are making me nervous now, is it that bad?"
"Given that you have a ring and didn't respect it. If you feel you need a break why don't just tell Davids and she will give you the whole break that you need?"
Daniella bit her fingers and looked at Clara who was talking some sense to her stupid brain. She knew that was the easy way but now she had messed things up with Davids there was no going back from that. She hated herself for doing what she did. The worst part is where she said she can't let her grow.
"I might have gone too far and she even transferred her anger at Ashley's boyfriend Richard. "
Clara was trying, by all means, to make sure that Daniella and Jake are on good terms. She thought of how they can be reunited and how they can spend the rest of their lives together.
"Dee, what do you want? This is going to be hard. Did you like the kiss? If you didn't reply, it means something else, so you better come out clean."
Daniella wondered what Clara was talking about. She is clean. It's only that she got confused and didn't know what she was doing but in being clean and submissive, she was, she loved Davids and wanted her for the rest of her life, it's only that she messed this up by thinking that it was right to respond to a kiss that she was given.
They were called into the house and the table was set. Everyone was sitting down. It was a large table and it was for almost thirty people. Davids was out of sight. Ashley was sitting beside her mum and dad while Richard was staring on the opposite sit. The other guest were also sitting around the table. Nimo sat next to her grandmother and she was looking at her talk to the other members around. Jade was looking from the other side. He was worried that maybe Nimo might shut him off and was thinking of how to walk in and sit there but her cousin Abrianna was sitting next to Rose. He knew telling her to get off was going to be hard. Next to him was Daniella who thought that Davids had maybe reserved her a sit but she was not around. Clara sat next to her husband who was busy holding the baby while talking to the other will people at the table. Her parents were around but she wanted them to enjoy themselves.
"Daniella, where is Davids?"
Daniella looked around and didn't know what to say.
"She has a little headache, I think she is going to come."
Daniella looked at Ashley with hooded eyes, she was sure that Davids was somewhere trying to cool off his temper before walking back into the house.
"Sorry I didn't know, we came in and she was fine, I will go check for her."
Mum Vicky nodded and looked at her husband who was raining brows.
Daniella walked around looking at every place she can be hiding at. She called her name but she was not responding. She looked upstairs in her room and saw the lights were on. She ran there and knocked but no one answered, she opened the door that was half closed and half opened and saw Davids laying in bed.
She walked in and sat beside her. She was asleep and couldn't hear Dee walking up to her.
Detappeded her slowly and she was upside eyes were red. She looked at the person calling her and grinned.
"People are waiting for you to come down, can you please do that? Dinner is ready and there is a huge turkey, your parents are asking for you."
Davids looked at her and stood up from her bed. She splashed some water on her face and adjust the suit that she had not worn.
"Can we please talk after this? I didn't mean what I said."
"You have all right Daniella to demand anything, I am not going to say, no, I told you to walk out there, I don't want to be responsible for your happiness."
With that, she walked out of the room and left her there. Daniella walked quickly hand placed held her hands.
"Then please, let's just hold hands and appear like the couple we are, don't make your parents angry."
Davids didn't say anything. She let her place her hands into hers and they walked to the dining table. She pulled a chair out for her and the space next to her wa empty and she sat there.
